Nice pose, working pretty well under pressure and extending plays.. I like what I'm seeing from the rook. Give him some help on the line and some more WRs and i think we might be back. A decent O line would get the running game back. Defense still playing top 15 football so they should only get better.

  1. There really hasn’t been anything that makes me say “woah that was bad” ! He definitely shown that he belongs in the league, question is how high is his ceiling?

  2. Shough has a lot of the skills you are looking for in a modern-NFL QB, especially the ability to move around the pocket and throw with accuracy while on the run. He can put the ball on a dime. With some additions to the line, he could be dangerous next year.

  3. Stop putting Hill in at QB. Shough got them down field many times to be replaced by Hill. Any other position is fine.

  4. Sign Pickens. Draft guards and center. Find a diamond in the rough rb. Easy peasy! (/s but a boy can dream)

  5. I like Shough. He makes good decisions, is somewhat elusive and has a great zip to his passes. This offense needs a lot of work though. Moved the ball very well in the second half yesterday, but failed to finish drives. We’ve been in most games this season, but have failed to score TDs, and that’s been the major issue. I think we have very good RBs and the means for a great ground game, it just needs to be consistent. O-line upgrades and receiving help is greatly needed.

  6. He has looked really good. The most important trait is “goldfish” as they say in Ted Lasso. He gets sacked and he’s back doing his thing like nothing just happened. I was a huge skeptic but he’s been way better than expected. It’d take a ton to try to upgrade to Mendoza at this point. I love Mendoza but Shough has shown enough to invest elsewhere.

  7. I don’t think we’d be back, but we would certainly have one less problem with the team.

Hoping he can finish the season strong so we can focus on building out the rest of the roster.

  8. He’ll need Kellen to willingly step back into an OC role to spend more time in development, and we need to bring in an actual leadership force to motivate and galvanize the team.

    Kellen is… uninspiring.

  9. I do not think we could beat a healthy Bucs team but def would be nice. Really need an O line, he was accurate and impressive(Shough). WRs have to have less drops and Grupe has to go. He blows and then we can win 5-8 games possibly

  10. Gonna need a new coach – and our GM can’t be trusted to find those players you mentioned.

  11. The biggest problem with the offense is our coach. Moores playcalling has been absolutely horrific. Don’t really care about our record. We all expected this to be a rebuild year and are aware of the talent deficiency on the team, but Moore has been a bottom 5 coach pretty easily this season

  12. Broncos fan here. How is our boy vele doing for you? I was upset we traded him. He has great hands

  13. Someone go see if Ryan Ramcyzk and Vince Wilfork are looking for Oline/Dline coaching work. We can draft all we want, but draft picks are about as valuable as monopoly money without good coaching, whereas good coaches can turn “busts” to legends.

Aside from that, our two highest picks need to go to a tight end, and a center. I want the best available for those positions.

Third pick should go to a strong safety.

  14. #Shough Suck and the more this season go on y’all will see I wasn’t wrong. Y’all keep saying it’s the Oline which is partially true but you have to sometimes as a QB (especially a 6’5 or 6’6 guy) be able to SEE the field good & know how to improvise. You same tYLer SuCK fans (opps I meant Shough) have been sucking all the oxygen out the room with this he’ll be the new face like he’s 20 or 21. Welp fact of the matter is he’s 26 and everytime he jog onto the field to start games, the analyst will make it apparent that he’s an older rookie meaning he has a ceiling that probably isn’t high with little room for growth. He is more of a QB that you can WIN WITH versus being a QB you can WIN BECAUSE of plays he’s made throughout the course of a game. I haven’t seen (along with many other fans) the talent to use his 4.6 40 timing nor have a seen the arm talent. Just because Drew said he might work with him on his mechanics in the offseason or show him how to prepare doesn’t mean he’ll develop into a top tier guy. He looks like a 2nd stringer in all phases of the game & I’m so tired of people selling me wolf tickets about his game. His stat line goes as follow…30-43, 243 yds, 1 int and was sacked 5 times. He holds on to the ball all day. He’s just like Derek Carr, when things isn’t going right they both panic instead of making teams pay like Josh Allen can, or Lemar Jackson & Patrick Mahomes. Saints need a rookie QB, Shough is a brigde QB until the guy we really need appears.I’ll gladly take the downvotes and I’m willing to go back & foward about this, but most of you Saints fans need to face the music.🙁

  15. My opinion go out and sign a good lineman this offseason and possibly find one in the later rds we need to focuse on edge, cb, wr,lber early it’s been ignored too long

  16. Watching in the dome it looked like he couldn’t read a defense. He underthrew several times and left receivers open. His deep ball was incredibly inaccurate not to mention under thrown. I just don’t see it.

  17. That’ was a masterpiece drive the entire 3rd qtr too come up empty twice ruined it. But man I liked how Shough was handling the rush

  18. Best way to find a good OL is to find a college team where the QB almost never gets sacked and they win alot with a shit QB lol

  19. He is the franchise.

He may not be Drew Brees, but he’s already clearly better than Brady.

  20. Shough gives this draft the opportunity to build the trenches. Then he’ll get a year to see what he’s got.

  21. I think the line isn’t as big of problem as not having explosiveness in the running game. Kamara doesn’t have the burst he used to. It’s time to draft a running back in the earlier rounds this draft.

  22. he’s too old – i just can’t see past the combo of age/inexperience. I’d be on board going best available but if we’re at #1 and can’t get a haul for it, I’ll be pretty disappointed if we don’t go Mendoza. Sucks for Shough, but he just seems like a lame duck.

He’s played well, but that’s just my cynical take on it.

  23. We were down a lot of players. Fuaga, Penning, McCoy, Shaheed, Cooks, and Kamara went down midgame.

And we STILL marched down the field numerous times, but then we’d swap him out for Hill at the goal line for some reason instead of letting him finish the drive. Our backup center was clearly not used to snapping to the shorter Hill. I’d really like to see if Shough could get it done in these situations. If so, my goodness, this could have been a very different game.

If he continues to grow and get better we could build around him

  24. From an outside perspective, I agree. But for the love of everything sacred you have GOT to get out from the Sean Payton shadow. This team STILL feels like his bc of Kamara, and especially bc of that damn Taysom hill.

He is holding back the entire franchise and I sincerely mean that. It’s a buzzkill. It is NEVER good when you’re doing gimmicky things consistently. There are too many brilliant offensive minds and forward thinking ideas. Think Shanahan resurrecting SF. Campbell and Ben Johnson resurrecting Detroit. And y’all are running 34 year old Taysom hill 10 times in an nfl game in 2025. So gross

  25. I hope so when New Orleans won the SB I got laid over and over when I flew there. It was party time and we could all use some partying in that beautiful city!

  26. I believe in Shough, but this team is a few years away from back unfortunately. Both sides of the ball need help plus Kellen desperately needs to get better at his job. Only a rookie head coach so hopefully we see growth.
