They have thrown the 14th most sinkers ver the last 3 years, the Rockies have the worst BAA on sinkers, highest OBP vs sinkers, highest slugging vs sinkers, highest wOBA vs sinkers
They have thrown the 20th most split fingers since 2023, they’re bottom 10 in those stats for split fingers…overall the 3rd highest batter run value against split fingers.
I don’t think the problem is the pitch type Dave….
the Rockies, as a team have 1 pitch that they throw with regularity with negative batter run value. Sweepers (-10)
the Rockies’ fastball (+341) and sinkers (+153) are the 2 worst pitches by batter run value, at a team level, in all of baseball over the past 3 years.
