Who is the real MVP for Colorado this season?
what’s different about Colorado and we’re talking about the most valuable player to a team and we’re using the Avalanche as an example and I’m a huge Kale Mar guy this year for me early on he’s my heart trophy guy I know everyone’s about McKinnon and rightfully so he’s been outstanding and I thought that was a conversation I was going to have with this person and this person said to me you know the MVP of the Avalanche said who’s that said Gabriel Andiskog Gabriel Andesog like look at what Macar is doing look at what maid said no no No, not like on the ice, he said. But it’s a really different vibe with the Avalanche this year because not that McKinnon like is someone who negatively runs the room, but he’s a really intense player and really intense players sometimes can be really hard to be around. He said, you know, the last time we saw Gabriel Landiskog, he was winning the Stanley Cup with the Avalanche and look what they’re doing now with Landiskog back in the room. And he said, he goes, “I’ve been around so many different teams and the successful ones happen when everybody feels comfortable with the role and comfortable with themsel.” And he said, “That’s what Landiskog is doing to this room.” With him there, a, it takes a lot of the leadership pressure off of Nathan McKinnon. He can just go and be a player. And B, Landiskog is the guy that allows everyone to feel comfortable in that room and on the ice. He said, “For that, he’s my MVP.” He said, “Not heart trophy, but MVP of the avalanche.

This is the truest statement yet. Gabe is one of the leagues best captains. Hes everyones big brother. Landy is our Captain, future gm just watch.
Wonder how having Landeskog in the locker room when Georgiev was on the team would have impacted goalie play.
No doubt truth to that. But a complete roster is the main culprit. Haven't had it since the cup, until after the deadline last season, and they we're really good but not quite buzzing yet. Don't underestimate the good middle six they didn't have for 2.5 years, which Landy is also a part of. But confidence, winning, and a complete roster they knew was great. Try being shook at all then. A good start and this team as a whole flying high makes sense. Sorry Landy, not MVP. Huge. But not MVP. They have zero reason to doubt, that's the MVP. And MacK and Makar frankly are insane through a quarter season. Hurting each other's MVP case and still the only choices in the league right now. Even in the more metophric MVP sense.
