A look at NEXT YEAR’S New York Jets wide receivers
I mean, is there a world next year where the Jets go into camp and they say, “Okay, Garrett Wilson’s our number one. We like to move him around the formation. We drafted a bigger wide receiver to be our future number two. We’ll pencil in Carnell Tate now for fun.” And then John Mechy is our number three that can play the slot. Adai Mitchell is a stretch four, a vertical threat number four. And then Aaron Smith’s developing as a number five, which is how things always should have been. So it it just looks so much more promising that quickly.
Badlands hosts Connor Rogers and Joe Caporoso examine what the New York Jets’ 2026 wide receiver room could look like.

Mougey was able to reshape the receiver room in not even one off season, so impressive
These two studs we actually picked up from the scrap heaps and they’re solid. Plus Brownlee, Briggs, Phillips… impressive
I think Sauce and Garrett’s contracts were created in mind to trade them or at least have that ability. I think we see Garrett traded for the right price or end up in the shadow of a receiver we draft.
2 is the rookie we don’t have yet. This does not bode well.
