Don Baloney is the cheap, salty and greasy human equivalent of his near namesake Bologna (Baloney).

Like Bologna which is a poor imitation of Mortadella, Maloney is a janky version of a hockey ops leader. When one mentions building to win cups, he shows his highly processed saltiness. He is a greasy pile of hockey lips and B-holes, much like Baloney.

Baloney should've been left to fry in the deserts of Arizona.

Sign my petition to remove this off brand Oscar Meyer Weiner so we can move to the draft day mortadella we all desire.

  1. Nothing Don Maloney should come as a surprise to anyone who has followed this team. Rebuild is never on the table.

  2. Outside of a botched interview or two I don’t see any reason for it. The team is drafting better than ever. They’ve traded virtually everyone they could trade away minus Rasmus and Backlund and got a good haul of picks for that. They’re on pace for the top 3 pick and actively looking to be sellers at the deadline. Basically everything fans could want is happening but too many are overly dramatic about an interview where Maloney is doing what he probably should — trying to increase value for the guys we have while they’re being shopped. I still think Craig is in charge of the team and has been since it got started but the rebuild is going just fine and making Maloney some sacrifice doesn’t make sense. At best I don’t think it would be consequential.

  5. People don’t get it. You remove Maloney and nothing changes. Maloney gets his directive from ownership. You get rid of him and then some other stooge becomes Edward’s mouthpiece. This team will not change its approach until the Flames are sold to someone else or Edward’s is dead

    Even if you think a petition with thousands of signatures would cause an NHL team to change their decision-making, I have a bridge to sell you.

  10. Team does nothing to change the scoring issues in the off season.

    Trades away large chunk of the team last year.

    Still hasn’t swung any big moves to help the scoring issues.

    Signed the promising youth to longer deals (zary, coronato, wolf).

    Maloney can say whatever he wants that he thinks will least hurt the business side of hockey, but this IS a rebuild. No team wants to tank. No team comes out and says we are tanking. But it’s happening.

    Can we please refrain from freaking the fuck out over one horrible PR interview and seravalli jumping on the social media story of week until atleast anderson is dealt or signed. Words are words. But imo that’s the telling point if it’s just Maloney being a blow hard to not admit what’s happening.. or if he’s truly a human cigarette.

  13. I’m no big fan of Maloney but it’s important to remember, he’s the reason why the Flames have Conroy as GM and not Dave Nonis, who was Murray Edwards’ first choice to be GM. It was Maloney who pushed for Conroy citing the need for a younger, more progressive person for the job
