if the Mavs land in the pick #7-#10 range, Philon will definitely be a target
Labaron had another elite scoring and play-making performance, carrying his team to a close lose to #12 ranked Gonzaga, who coming into the game were 4th nationally in defensive efficiency.
Because Alabama couldn’t muster a second consistent scorer to help generate offense, the Bulldogs defense was able to key in on Philon and he ended up with 6 turnovers on the night, a bad blemish on an otherwise stellar performance.
His team situation reminds me of Colin Sexton who was also a one man offensive juggernaut for the Alabama Crimson tide and had to carry the team from night to night with little help offensively.
Philon continues to prove he is one of the best scoring and play-making guards in the country, with elite ball handling and speed, offensive creativity, and improved paint finishing and outside shooting.
Having played a very tough opening season schedule against 4 top ranked teams in the country, he is now averaging 22 points and 6 assists on 54% shooting, and shows no signs of slowing down.
