“I talk to K1 every day. He’s working hard to get healthy. He’s engaged. I know he wants to play,” Gannon said.

A foot injury has since kept him on the sidelines, elevating Jacoby Brissett into the starting role. Gannon gave an update on Murray’s status on Monday, per report Darren Urban. He believes in the quarterback’s ability to get healthy and stay engaged in the team’s plans moving forward.

“Gannon, asked about a plan to bring back Kyler Murray to play. Murray has to miss at least one more game on IR,” Urban wrote.

  1. Would be interesting to play him. Season is already all over the place. Might as well make it more dramatic lol.

  2. If some of y’all are correct and Murray is worse then Brisset and we’re definitely trading him this offseason, then you should want him to finish out the year for us, as he’d give us the best shot at a top draft pick and in the worst case scenario, if he looks good and wins some games, he at least improves his off season trade value. Yes there’s some risk of a major injury that carries over to next year, but I don’t think that outweighs the potential positives.

  3. I, for one, I’m just thankful Gannon even talks to his qb every day. Like that might be really hard for him to do.

  4. Correct me if I’m wrong, but doesnt Kyler have a large injury guarantee going into this off-season? Probably want to just keep him on the bench if your Monti if thats the case.
