Rico on X – 😵‍💫

  1. Canales absolutely failed the team.

Our identity is the run yet Canales feels entitled to force the passing game just cause it worked last week. We need to stick to our identity and if the run doesn’t work then open up the passing game.

I feel Canales biggest problem now is not playcalling from a holistic standpoint. He makes knee jerk reactions off what worked/didn’t work the prior week. Run the ball till it don’t work!

  2. He’s a RB on a 1 year contract who will be 28 years old come next season who is trying to maximize the last big bag he’s gonna get in the NFL. He doesnt really give a fuck if the Panthers lose out, he’s concerned with maximizing his value so he can cash out in 2026 and it wont be with the Panthers.

  3. We got Rico Dowdle on a one year rental & Dave does not give a fuck. Actual coaching malpractice. 98% chance he’s not a Carolina Panther next year, why not feed him while we have him???

  4. Not much you can possibly say about the players and coaches is worse than the things they’re saying to themselves after a game like that.

  5. Times like this, I wish Ron Rivera never got old. He would have opened up that Defense and taken advantage of all those back ups smh.

  6. I know running it on the 1 was the easy call, but the PA was fine. The throw was there if Bryce sees him after the action. 84 was open for a decent amount of time.

  7. 1 loss all year when Rico has over 10 carries, averaging almost 16 carries a game, let’s give him 6. I hate it here.

  8. Don’t blame him, I’m fucking confused to. It was a 7 point difference for majority of the game… how tf do you only run the ball 9 total times?

Canales’s game planning and play calling are some of the most inconsistent I’ve ever seen.

  9. I know we go back and forth on this, and I waffle week to week because I am a reactionary fan who cannot maintain composure consistently.

BUT, these are the things – in totality (the having to recommend plays, the inconsistent play calling, the frustration with under preparing for the saints) that makes me think he may have actually lost the locker room to some degree.

Players who are behind their team/cosch wouldn’t post something like this that can be misconstrued

  10. Where is Sunday at 1 PM kind of a team. We’re not a primetime team. If it’s this ugly on a Monday night, I can only imagine a playoff game. The whole world was watching last night. The media kept saying “this isn’t the same Bryce Young, he’s turned a corner, he’s starting to figure it out” they kept talking about how we were gonna keep a competitive. They tried to sell us. We made a turn on primetime TV.

Personally, I think the reality is we were teased after the Packers win but we’re still nowhere close to me where we need to be. This doesn’t mean that we burn everything down. This doesn’t mean that we start over. But we have a ways to go.

In trying to find coaches that could work with Bryce Young, we didn’t really have our pick of the litter. Dave was available and he made a lot of sense but there are elite coaches and then there is Dave. He wasn’t aggressive when he needed to be aggressive, and Carolina got pushed around.

Again, I’m not saying that Bryce isn’t the future, but we have invested a ton in this offensive line and we’ve spent tons of pics on putting together a stable offense and it’s been an absolute roller coaster.
