No matter what happens the rest of the year…this has been the most enjoyable season for a fan since 2018.

  1. We have an outstanding head coach and coaching staff. You've seen the articles: top 5 offense, elite o-line play, Caleb ascending, position groups exceeding expectations. In post game interviews players give insights about how Ben schemes up advantages (ex. 4th and 1 Caleb's QB run against the Steelers: Drew Dalman mentions that is the exact look they wanted). The coaches are getting out so much more from our roster than prior regimes. Dennis Allen is a genius. Dan Roushar is turning our lineman into pro bowlers. Al Harris has helped Nashon Wright and Kevin Byard lead the league in INTs.

  2. We are winners. We are not the same old Bears. The moments that have led to a season long collapse have gone the opposite way.

-Blackwell block against the Raiders

-Moody kick against the Commanders

-Loveland TD against the Bengals

-Caleb TD run against the Giants

-Santos kick against the Vikings

-Brisker 4th down tip against the Steelers

There have been more enjoyable moments through 11 games than we've had in over 5 years combined.

  1. We have our guy: Caleb Williams.

I'm the first one to admit that after decades of futility at the QB position I've approached Caleb with extreme skepticism. As a Bears fan, I think that is understandable…after squinting and wishing that Rex, Mitch, Justin were franchise QBs, many of us kept up the skepticism.

However, Caleb's ascent and improved week by week play are undeniable. He is playing from the pocket, he is making the right reads, he is throwing with anticipation and he has special talent on top of that (arm talent and athleticism) that can truly make him elite. All of this growth under a truly elite playcaller and offensive mind. He truly has a chance to be very special. I've been a Bears fan for 35 years and I don't remember a moment ever thinking this about our QB.

One year ago I made a website called firematteberflushirebenjohnson after the Thanksgiving collapse…now I'm just extremely grateful for this season and this team. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone and I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving and can enjoy us whooping the Eagles ass on Friday.

  1. I so really appreciate what we’ve experienced this season. Not only the winning but the manner in which they’ve won has been insane!

  2. What’s awesome is this isn’t like 2018 where that team was super bowl or bust since our dumbass GM traded away every draft pick and set the bears up for failure after the season. This is a young team with decent draft capital to build a sustainable product moving forward. I trust Ben Johnson to create a new Bears identity than I ever did with Nagy.

  3. Great coaching staff. Just needs to tighten up everyone on penalties. We are in the top 5 for most penalties and most yards against. Shit needs to stop.
