“Omg Chiefs get all the calls”

  1. I was screaming at the tv in my local bar.

There were a lot of missed calls and bad calls. Kingsley blind side call comes to mind too.

  2. This isn’t even the best view. In real time it looked like the guys arm was wrapped around his neck.

  3. Pretty sure the chiefs won the game no? And I’d probably never use a holding call as an example of a missed penalty. There is egregious holding on every play for basically every single team.
It’s ridiculous that it’s officiated so poorly.

  4. Phantom opi, phantom face mask.  Noncall on holding to prevent a safety.

But we got one completely legitimate RTP (the full body weight landing might be a lame call but it’s officiated like that across the board and every qb gets that call) and one borderline RTP (the hit was low but it was right on the edge between a clean hit and too low so they called it)…and somehow that means the refs are in the bag for the chiefs

If the refs were in the bag for us we wouldn’t be 6-5

  5. I love all the outrage on the mahomes sack and like yes its a shitty call but its been around for years now

Pretty sure that is the reason we hate carl cheffers

  6. It has subsided greatly I will say that. It was pretty bad for awhile. Its even turned on yall a little bit. That OPI call Sunday on Kelce was BS.

  7. From my understanding he’s blocking towards his own end zone meaning it’s an illegal blindside block in the back /s

  8. The entire time live and during the replays I was yelling about a the safety we should’ve been given.

  9. Saw that live and about lost my mind how bad of a missed call that was. Obviously the NFL doesn’t care but officiating as a whole has been awful this year. Even more than usual and that is saying something.

  10. I’ve been conditioned from years of watching Tamba Hali play to not get too worked up over this one.

  11. I appreciate how most fan bases agree “chiefs got screwed by calls.” This game shouldn’t have been close chiefs should have been up by another TD wt the end. Now colts fans and bills have a different opinion. Bills fans can’t handle anything the chiefs do that’s positive we broke their minds.

  12. I hate it when other fanbases do the “Freeze Frame Freakout” and I hate it here. Yes it was a hold and should’ve been a safety. Oh well. They won the game.

  13. Thé worst call imo was the hold on breshard smith. Literally turned him around, how was this missed

  14. THIS is the narrative that I take issue with nowadays. Hate us all you want, but bad calls, or no calls go both ways. Some guy at the bar Sunday morning started in while sitting next to us when they called RTP early on. Just would not shut up. I finally snapped and told him to shut the fuck up and go home and watch the Cardinals (yeah, he wasn’t even a Colts fan). I’m just so sick of this take on our success.

  15. KC got worse calls people were just salty they couldn’t bitch about the Noah Grey catch that never touched the ground.

  16. Now just imagine if the teams were flipped. This screenshot would be plastered on everyone’s feed but since it happened to the Chiefs, “the refs are finally keeping it fair.” The cope from some of these losers is exhausting

  17. There are sites that track calls. The stats show that the Chief has received fewer than average benifital calls.

  18. They’ve proven Josh allen gets more calls in his favor. The NFL even created the no flop rule because of him but everyone blames Mahomes because he’s the best in the business.

  19. Went to the chiefs game in Denver this year. Literally had the same amount of penalties but the ENTIRE stadium was screaming about the “cheating” that was done by “having the refs in our pocket” lmao. Not saying we don’t get the benefit of the doubt sometimes but damn is it annoying to hear excuses being made prior to even winning/losing

  20. The fact of the matter is that the average nfl fan assumes that refs favor teams like the chiefs because they see the chiefs on national tv a lot. The refs are blowing calls in every game, but you don’t see or hear about cam ward getting bailed out on an int for a soft DPI because he’s on the titans

  21. I’ll give it a pass because there isn’t a ref in the area with a clear shot of the infraction

  22. Come on y’all, let’s not be those people. When these don’t get called when we do them we find all the reasons it wouldn’t be called but when it’s not called when it happens to us we complain.

This is from the official holding rule in the section where it talks about circumstances wherein holding will not be called:

if, during a defensive charge, a defensive player uses a “rip” technique that puts an offensive player in a position that would normally be holding, unless and until the defender’s feet are taken away from him by the blocker’s action.

A rip move is kind of ambiguous but the universally recognized characteristics are literally just “an upward motion of the defenders arm in an attempt to unbalance the blocker.” That happened on this play. As you can see by the official text there is nothing that says when in the defensive charge the rip or the hold must occur relative to one another, so the fact that a rip happened at all is enough to negate holding.

So as shitty as this looks in a screenshot, it was not holding.

  23. They were just looking for excuses to hate on us for winning, gotta stop being so bothered by this shit cause it ain’t that important.
