I’ll take the first one: a collapse is way less fun.
We’ve somehow found the middle ground this year. We are awful all season but will end up 9-8. We only win when our defense can give us 5+ turnovers.
I would take 3 straight years of 2 wins seasons for the CHANCE to have a high draft pick hit and get out of this trash purgatory. 9-8 feels the exact same as 2-15
I’m ready to get off of this ride. A “winning” season with no legitimate shot at making a run for a Super Bowl is not enough anymore.
Tomlin is 6-11 in his last 17 games btw
Here’s a better idea. Shitcan Tomlin’s stale ass & then we won’t have to endure being the best non-playoff winning team in the league. Flame me, downvote me. I couldn’t POSSIBLY care less. What exactly makes you think were making the playoffs at 9-8 particularly given the state of the offense and the defensive highs and lows? Im genuinely asking

If you can’t stomach 9-8 or 10-7, you are absolutely lying to yourselves when you say you can take 2-15. And given that our front office refuses to spend extra for upgrades or draft and develop QBs (we missed on Shedeur chasing A-A-Ron and Kenny Pickett was a miss), there is no indication that it gets better from there.
All fantasy lore here – we are finishing the season with 6 wins
I have been a Steelers fan since the early ‘80’s but I honestly hope we end the “never had a losing season “ streak just to see if anything changes. The end result will be the same, another year of mediocrity and no one giving a damn.
Either way, we’re better than more than half of the teams in the league.

Aye Bill Cowher had 3 losing seasons and brought them back to the AFC Championship Game in the 4th. They lost it but ended up winning the Super Bowl two years later. That was a long term plan in itself. Only plan right now is Tomlin to not have a losing seasons
