Momentum of the defending Western Conference Champions before Luka’s last game as a Maverick on 12/25

The vibes were at an all time high going in to the Christmas game, it is actually unbelievable what has transpired since
I remember I was so hyped last year, where luka was out because of injury that the team got lots of wins, Breakthrough moments of Naji in those 3-4 games, 20pts+, Kyrie was so magical, in helping the team esp in clutch times.
I still recalled i wrote my diary that the mavs won in those mini runs without luka 😔😔😔I was so excited, sigh….. it’s hurts to be remember those moments heading to christmas day 2024 and the final blow which was the trade….
Dirk pointed this out when he calmly tore apart Nico after he was fired
Nico is just a dumbass. Plain and simple. Fucked us all. At some point we gotta move on.
Mavs were by far the biggest threat to OKC last year. Nico threw away a legitimate title shot for no reason.
We were so good, the team was complete with hardly any holes in the roster and ready to dominate for the next few years.
Still farming. Bro have some shame 😂
Move on already, he’s not coming back, he’s gone and he’s gone forever
Nah but he fat!
SELL THE TEAM. I want the Adelson’s OUT!
Non-basketball league favor trade
It proves that Nico’s reasoning behind that trade is personal and ego-driven.
Combinations of Kyrie, Luka, Dinwiddie, Naji, PJ, Klay, Grimes, Kleber, Gafford, and Lively all had +29.7 NetRtg or better during that time. The team already had **THE** 10-man rotation for another run to the NBA Finals.
The most used line-up was Kyrie – Luka – Klay – PJ – Lively with a 135.5 OffRtg and 102.4 DefRtg across 6 games and 79 minutes.
I was at that game in Miami, only lost because Kidd let Dinwiddie brick the game away at the end. I happened to sit next to another guy who was rooting for the Mavs and we spent the entire game just yelling at Dinwiddie in frustration. Between that and those stupid early season games the team easily could have been like 25-6 instead of “just” 20-11 or whatever it was at some point.
How one persons fragile ego destroyed an entire franchise and set them back for years

LUKAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!! Lukaaaaa-aahh…. 😭🙂
Ill never get over it
During this stretch last year, my group chat agreed that this roster was deepest and most talented roster in Mavs history.
I only attended 1 game after the trade (Luka’s return) and ended my 25 year streak of owning season tickets…it ruined my lifelong love of Mavs & NBA
Defense wins championships
and now scraping the bottom of the barrel for years to come.
And Luka looked like he was about to have another easy 50 piece in that Minny game before he got hurt
