Chaim Bloom’s first move as GM being a trade to the Red Sox is pretty funny
And so it begins…
He’s not gonna fare well in the AL East… again
Who’s it gonna be?!
Nothing like seeing [Passan]
cardinals fans how should i feel about this
okay whats the return and how much money did the cards give us
A trade of actual substance, nice.
The Lucas Giolito replacement
they are going to teach him how to aim his fastball like they did Chapman
THE STOVE IS STOVING
I see that white ESPN lettering in front of the red background and I get excited every time. Passan bombs, baby!
Bro plays for all the red teams
Passan says the Sox sent Fitts and Brandon Clarke
Alright what’d they get back and can I use this trade to laugh at St. Louis or not?
It bears repeating, but “Sonny Gray” is an 80 grade baseball name, especially for a pitcher.
Sonny Gray sounds like a guy who pitched 500 innings a year in the dead ball era
I just want to know what the Cards got in return
This has got seven shut out innings in the ALDS against the Yankees written all over it
Passan:
> Full trade, per ESPN sources:
> Boston Red Sox receive: Sonny Gray and cash
> St. Louis Cardinals receive: LHP Brandon Clarke and RHP Richard Fitts
Mookie Betts trade tree continues.
Betts – Verdugo – Fitts – Gray
Phew… for sure thought the Giants would try and overpay for him

What are they doing moving Clarke for an expensive one year rental of a 35 year old. JFC
This only makes sense if they are going for it right now. Like, Alonso/Cease levels of going for it.
Waiving ntcs so hot right now
What’s wrong in St Louis that Gray was now keen to leave?

As a Red Sox fan I’m not all that excited. Was hoping for Joe Ryan instead
2015 me is ecstatic
As a Baseball fan who’s first Introduction to baseball was the 2006 WS. Im sad the direction the Cardinals are going, but hopefully a nice rebuild. Need Walker to pick it up though
Dick Fitts won the trade.
It might not be Sonny in St. Louis anymore, but at least the Dick Fitts
Its finally starting to feel like the Off-season with trades, signings and Hall of fame talk. AL East gonna be the best division in the AL.
Ok who had this on their bingo card wtf….
wow look at that a division rival trading for pitching again. Wonder what pitcher we about to trade to get another bat.
The Prince That Was Promised has chosen a different kingdom yet again.
They will regret trading Dick Temper
Is this the same Sonny we basically all saw suck in NY and then do great later on?
Was hoping St. Louis would hang on to Gray and that contract
Oakland A’s legend Sonny gray 😎
I’m just glad we are working towards a rebuild instead of signing 35 year old vets and acting like “this is our year!”
hell yeah
Gray has been one of my favorite non-Red Sox pitchers his entire career so I am hyped

Wow, another pitcher the Orioles can’t have
