We should be trading anyone we can’t afford to re-sign due this summer due to cap space issues after we throw the bag at Leo and Cutter.
Ehh, the implication is Gudas gets traded for assets, and frankly I dont really see that happening. Hes in the last year of his contract, wearing the C, is a right shot defensemen, and the Ducks are leading the division at Thanksgiving. Unless the assets are “ready now” I cant see him being moved.
Minty on the other hand is looking like the odd man out; especially with Solberg potentially being ready next year
I mean, yea. We have like 8 defensemen that should be in the NHL right now including Luneau, and you can argue for more guys too. Just need the space.
I’d rather see Helleson or Gudas moved but Mintyukov definitely gets you the best return. If they can get a prime aged top 6 scorer in the deal I think you have to do it.
I think Gudas is who we’ll want in April and beyond. Which doesn’t make Minty expendable, but I think it’s probably more wise if we’re serious about this year.
That said, I think about keeping stoner at the expense of Theodore and cringe frequently. Different circumstances, but what could have been.
I think Helleson has some higher stock now I wouldnt mind us moving him if instead.
If we’re in a playoff spot at the deadline, I’m not sure why you would trade Gudas. If we aren’t, absolutely. Playoff teams would be lining up for a healthy Gudas.
We need to be buyers. Let’s go out and try to get Quinn in return if possible. That would be insane
