The Atlanta Falcons pass rush is now getting sacks without blitzing. Season-low blitz rate of 15.7% vs the saints with a 44.2% pressure rate.

I saw a lot of our fans saying our pass rush wasnt good because …ironically we're very good at blitzing. Well here you go!

Pearce got some long ass arms.
no, people rightfully pointed out that we can *only* get pressure with blitzing and thus leaving holes elsewhere that offenses were exploiting. we have high sack numbers while giving up huge yardage.
we aren’t “now getting sacks” because we turned a corner. we beat up Tyler Shough and a 2-8 Saints team actively tanking. calm down.
Still crazy that our sack leader is our DT lmao
It was true earlier in the season when two of our top edge rushers were rookies just getting started.
As we develop them, they’re starting to heat up and win in one on one situations. So now we can blitz less and run more stunts. This is great!
I wish for the Falcons to finally have a competent pass rush!..

Yeah keep Ulbrich at DC at all costs
Guys, it was the 2-8 Saints. Fun game to watch. Always feels good to beat them. Not even remotely an indicator that this team is turning a corner.
Beef up the interior DL in the off-season, and you will have a good defense.
Now if we can just find a coach who can coach some sort of offense and a solid back up to see if Penix can still be the guy – otherwise we are QB hunting in 2027
This team is like a seesaw, can never have good defense and offense at the same time
This fan base can be something else at times.
Two things can be true at the same time. It is possible to acknowledge improvement in getting pressure withoit blitzing and take some enjoyment from that, AND also, understand that they are a work in progress while not having yet turned the corner.
There are times I think that the Falcons could win the Super Bowl, and some folks’ initial reaction would be: “Ugh, I guess we are stuck with Fontenot and Morris for another year.”
framework of a good defense is there. just need some size and for the love of god a real investment at CB2. its been so long since they drafted AJ and terry has just not made it a priority
It was the friggin’ Saints!! They are ass! FTS!
Considering that defensive linemen take 2-3 seasons to really breakout, I feel very confident about where we are headed.
We finally get a pass rush and the rest of the team sucks ass lol. Can’t make this shit up
Walker is a damn good dawg. Pearce is damn good too, just a vol
Not to cope too hard, but wonder what our record would be without deablo going out. Our LB depth is abysmal and not reading too much into a good defensive game versus the saints. But I can’t help but think some of those close games could have gone our way with him.
And if they had a competent coaching staff and structure they wouldn’t have lost 5 straight during those sacks.
Dorlus keeps this up for a few seasons, it’s gonna be a stick up come contract time. And I’m here for it!
