I’m so pumped about Simmons man. We found a franchise left tackle
This Oline could legit develop into the best in the league in a year or two
The O line is doing their thing. Now Patrick just needs to trust and not get frantic. Trust!!!!
Man so good on Suamataia. After losing his starting job at LT after *less than* two games, and getting a replacement drafted (along with a somewhat bit FA signing) and moved to a new position… that could had sent a lot of players in a spiral. Instead dude is thriving and is making up to be a top 10ish LG. Certainly he’s never been much of an issue this season (and if/when he has, it’s been early season) and he’s also really good in the run game.
Happy for him. He is still very young and at a new spot. I think we may have a great line. Let’s start playing some Marty ball and play action mixed with the shotgun. Rpo is good until it’s predictable
I think, without a doubt, he wins the award for most improved player. And props to the coaching staff for putting him the right position to succeed.
I think he needs to plant a bit harder and not backpedal as much as he does in pass protection, but I think he’s found his spot for sure.
Kingsley seems like a real nice LG. I remember one of Kareem’s runs I saw on Sunday where they showed the replay and Kingsley was the one making that run happen with a big block.
That left side of the line is looking awfully nice.
Really glad he can play at guard. That was the only real question left on the line
Kingsley has been the biggest surprise this season. Because he went absolute dogshit at Left Tackle to a quality starter Left Guard.
But make no mistake, Left Tackle is what separates the men from the boys. You’re an island, in space, 1-on-1 against what is typically the best athlete on the opposing defense. And the Quarterback can’t see you after the ball is snapped.
It’s by far the most important position on the Offensive Line and not many guys in the NFL can do it. That’s why they play Guard, Center or Right Tackle.
I never thought I would be excited for Kingsley. He was SO BAD at LT. He’s looked REALLY GOOD at times at guard this season. I’m genuinely happy for the young man.
Suamataia improvement is something to behold
“You’re not getting to my QB”- Josh probably
Damn! Josh has such a quick first step.
I’m really proud of how Kingsley has turned the narrative around. Good on you man.
If Patrick can hang in the pocket and get the last two years of quick release/ quick progression out of his mind and just be patient, we’ll be able to move the ball and score some points.
Kingsley getting moved to Guard was such a great shift for our interior line. I say by end of 2026/start of 2027, we might not be missing Thuney as much as we thought
A few weeks ago, the Athletic Football show was talking about some of the most impressive rookies and Suamataia’s name came up during the IOL discussion (he’s not technically a rookie, but close enough). They said when he was at LT, he seemed so worried about getting beat outside that he would just allow edge rushers to beat him inside immediately (or vice versa) and his footwork wasn’t fast enough to catch up. But at LG he can focus on what’s in front of him, doesn’t have to worry about getting beat around the edge, and having Humphrey on one side and Simmons on the other stabilizes everything so he can go kick ass. He’s super strong and has great physical tools, I love seeing him succeed in this role after being written off so quickly at tackle last year.
That snatch move he does is nasty.
Kingsley has been the best development this season, bar none, no questions asked. Honestly as good as the o line has mostly been, has just accentuated how bad Pat has been at times.
I think two of the lynchpins of this dynasty has been the combo of Veach being able to churn and get really good guys at oline and in the secondary while picking in the bottom 4 every year, and the coaches being able to develop those guys.
They’ve turned the online over like two big overhauls now due to injury and other stuff.
So many DB’s we’ve just plucked out of nowhere, and Spags has both coached and schemed them up.
And we’ve been able to turn some of those gets into more draft capital because of the glut of talent we’ve had.
If we could have the same success along the dline, it’d be a dream come true.
Feels so good knowing we seem to have 4 above average to elite linemen locked in through till 2027 (Kingsley), 2028 (Creed and Trey), and 2029 (Simmons). Here’s hoping that Simmons is gonna be our new equivalent of the “elite qb on rookie contract” cheat code
Playing like the King
Kingsley developing into a quality LG is so huge for us.
Would love to see some OL continuity. Obviously Taylor cannot stay at his current price point, and the false starts are frustrating, but at the right price….his pass pro is very good.
Put Pat under center. Run an actual offense where the defense actually has to worry about play action. And watch this offense sky rocket.
This RPO crap has destroyed Mahomes.
Kingsley comes from a family of good players it was only a matter of time
