I’m not gonna say it but I’m just leaving this here. And it is Josina Anderson so take that for what it’s worth. Y’all draw your own conclusions. There’s only 4-5 coaches she could be talking about and Reid, Harbaugh, McDermott, Mcvay, Shanahan aren’t going anywhere. I wouldn’t consider Zac Taylor or lafleur or Stefanski long term coaches yet.

It’s Pete Carroll, obviously.
Please let Christmas come early and it be Mediocre Mike Tomlin.
I mean, if you look at the bills or ravens sub, they talk about their respective coaches like yall do about tomlin. Could really be anyone from that list. But imho I believe it’d be shanahan.
Money is on stefanski. Haslams suck balls. 5 years may not seem like a long time but nfl years that’s a career
Idk why you dont think it is Harbaugh.
To me it sounds either like Tomlin ir Harbaugh.
I’d be jumping for joy if it were Tomlin, but we all know it’s not
Don’t get your hopes up. Cleveland, Cincinnati, Vegas, and the Jets are going to be 4 of those 5. I think the longtime coach is Andy Reid. Tomlin has no incentive to leave
If Tomlin wants a change, by all means let him have it. He can run an outdated defensive scheme and inconsistent offenses elsewhere.

I could definitely see it being Harbaugh or McDermott. In fact, if I were ranking them in order of likelihood, it’d be McDermott at the top.
It will not be Mike t, he is essentially untouchable where he is.
I dont think McDermott job is safe, but i dont think he’d be the one deciding to step away

As much as I would love change at this point, it just isn’t Tomlin’s style to leak this to others prior to the fact.
Don’t threaten me with a good time
Could be Tomlin, could be Harbaugh. They’re two sides of the same coin.
josina anderson is a moron and can’t be trusted. however, i hate tomlin so much that im going to choose to believe this
Im down for whatever. Just get out of this cycle of mediocrity and bland QB play year in and year out. What we are watching has been like eating unseasoned chicken and rice for the last 5 years.
Tomlin isn’t the type of guy to supposedly start to confer with people midway through a season.
I heard the giants want to trade their first rounder for Tomlin. I’d be all over that! Of course if they offered to trade a used jockstrap and a 6 month old bagel I’d also be all over that!
Odd feeling after being a huge fan of his for years, but I think he’s proven that he’s incapable of rebuilding a contender, and he’s way too conservative in today’s game. That and the only criteria needed to be his SC is being a Tomlin guy.
Anyone who has coached more than 4 years somewhere could be considered a longtime head coach. The average is 3 and a half years.
What is this post? Its so vague. I was hoping the Steelers were looking for a GM, OC and new coach and a young Rooney to take the reins. Tease!
Can’t see it being any coach that has a top QB
You can’t break up with me caus I’m breaking up with you vibes
I guarantee it’s not Tomlin, he knows he has a good thing going here. If he goes somewhere else he could be exposed.
I have a feeling it’s Stefanski, he clearly doesn’t want to coach for Sanders. He seems like he hates the guy.
Fingers crossed.
Its probably stefanski from the Browns. That team is a dumpster fire and it isn’t getting better anytime soon.
If I were a bills fan, I would certainly want to move on from McDermott.
Please be John Harbaugh. Please please please
My honest take is that Tomlin is done here after this year or next. His expiration date was after that disaster in 2018. It’s the same shit over and over again with the same meddling in the offense and no adjustments on defense.
Rooney needs to grow a pair and say enough is enough but he won’t do that. If this is about Tomlin then good riddance.
I just want some new blood in Pittsburgh. I want a young head coach to bring the modern era to our team. I appreciate everything Tomlin has done and he deserves a relaxing retirement and please let it start in Jan 2026
Tomlin, Taylor, Stefanski and Harbaugh – all fan bases are clamoring for a coaching change. So here is my proposal:

Dibs on Harbaugh
Tomlin would be my leading thought on this too, but I think Shanahan isn’t as locked in as you suggest.
I’m surprised more people aren’t saying Kevin O’ Connell here, depending on definition of long term (only 4 seasons). This dude has been turning fuckups by his FO into winning seasons for so long and letting Daniel Jones and Sam Darnold walk in favor of a terrible JJ McCarthy just to watch them both become top 12 QB’s for other teams. I could see that situation being super frustrating for KOC, and I think we saw a bit of that with the soft benching of “9” early this year
I was not a fire tomlin guy. Continuity was a strength, but i think it’s becoming more of a liability.
Seeing teams like Seattle, Chicago, and Jacksonville see success quickly with new coaches makes me think that the risk of messing up the coaching hire is smaller.
The ownership and organization are stronger than like the saints and jets, so it would be trust in khan and weidl to make the right call. The defense has been a mess since that eagles game last year. If tomlin is not able to coach this group up at all, and they are actually less than the sum of their parts this year, then he has lost the juice.
I mean, if you watch Tomlin this year, it could very well be him.
He hardly ever seems excited anymore. A lot of his preference conferences seem to show a lot of frustration. Every shot of him in a game is just him standing there with a blank stare. He definitely doesn’t seem like the same Tomlin from years ago.
But who knows.
Another thought, what even counts as a “longtime” NFL coach? 5 years? Depending on the definition of longtime it could be half the league.
Or is it longtime but not current head coach ala Belichick to the NYG?
Tomlin ain’t leaving. He would be insane to leave this organization that has an obsession with keeping coaches employed for as long as possible.
Tomlin is the one who would make the most sense, but I could definitely see it being Harbaugh or Shanahan too.
