The dominoes are REALLY starting to fall for the Eagles now… but they caught a break!
Well, playing with fire finally caught up to the Eagles as the wos on offense, untimely penalties, poor execution, and sorry play calling resulted in the biggest blown lead for Philly in 26 years. Yeah, but you saw it happen, so you know how bad it was. Although getting further away from the game, there were actually a couple positives to walk away with. I know that sounds crazy, but they are at least worth talking about. So, let’s do that. And okay, fine. KP needs to go, some not so great injury updates and everything else you may have missed from week 12. But first, let’s run it. What’s up, guys? Well, it finally happened. The Eagles playing not to lose actually caught up to him. Of course, Nick Serriani was adamant that that was not the case. Except, I’m sorry, you don’t blow a 21-point lead for the first time in 26 years for Philly unless you’re doing something different. You play to win the game. It’s ridiculous that even happened and much more frustrating going through the film. Again, Sunday marked only the fourth time in Bird’s history that they’ve blown a 21-point lead. Yeah, four times in 1,371 games. But hey, at least you witnessed history, while also furthering our narrative on just how lost the Philly offense really is. How exactly does something like this happen? The hard part is it started out so well. Like, come on. Dallas had a turnover on downs, a punt, and a coughed up fumble on their first three possessions. And with the defense playing up to the level we typically expect, somehow shockingly, Kevin Padullo’s offense scored on all three of their first drives to start the game. Yet, the bigger surprise was probably seeing Jaylen Herz and AJ Brown connect five times for 64 yards and a touchdown before the first quarter had ended. What happened here was a miracle, and I want you to acknowledge it. Not going to lie, if you go based off of reactions from people on social media and national analysts at halftime, it did feel like Kevin Padillo’s sins have been forgiven. With some begging the question at that moment, should the Birds offensive identity just be a passing team this year? I mean, the short answer is yes, because they’ve got some serious issues on the ground. And actually, I’ll get into this a little bit later, but the passing game or the concepts for this one were more promising than Detroit or Green Bay. I know that’s not saying a whole lot, but just stick with me because let me just say this. I got chills watching how aggressive and unpredictable KP’s offense was at the early stages. Like for the first time in a really long time, it seemed as if Pulo had confidence in his play calls, sequenced them well together, and the offense followed suit. Heck, even when the Cowboys started to adjust, the offense had every answer they needed. Football is as much mental as physical. Turn your volumes up. Listen to the Cowboys defense making the stunt to the offensive line. He is telling his defensive line, “Hey, run a Ted stunt.” That means tackle. You come first and you loop around. Jaylen hears that and he calls a play of his own. He checks it. Tango tango. Tango tingo. All of a sudden, Dickerson, he’s like, “Yo, yo, yo, yo.” They’re going to a quarterback draw after he just stunted the defensive line. Jaylen Herz, he wins this chess match. Now, watch the stunt by the Cowboys defense. Tackle’s going to go first and loop around. Watch that first. Boom. Okay, stunt. So, linebacker called a stunt. Jaylen called a draw. up the middle. He goes to wins. If I told you the Eagles would be winning 21 to zero, have the football and like 5 minutes left in the first half, you think there’s no way the Eagles lose that game, which technically the Cowboys win percentage at that point was as low as 3% after Dak Prescott’s interception to Reed Blankenship at that point in the first half. However, as we all saw, after racking up 192 yards, 12 first downs, and 21 points on their first three drives, Philly then proceeded to net 107 yards, seven first downs, and the worst number of all, zero points over their last eight possessions. That does not happen. Well, for Philly, it does all too often this year, that’s been the case. But there we were about to hand Dak Prescott his first loss, his first home divisional loss in eight years. And all the Eagles did was totally botch it, leaving us all to ask the same thing. How on earth does that happen? Now, before I attempt to answer that question, go ahead and let me know in the comments section. If there’s any positives that you can think of, silver lining, there’s plenty of negatives and we’ll get to those. But try to think about this. We’re trying to be as positive as we can. Drop a like on the video. It’ll help a little bit here. And I’ve got a giveaway that we’re doing. So, drop a like, leave a comment, and I am curious any positives, any good thing to take away from this loss. By the way, the reason I’m asking for you to drop a comment is because shout out to Jordan Spectre of Spectre Sports Art. But he sent me some BG relic cards, some Super Bowl 59 BG relic cards. And if you don’t know about these, you’re going to want to win one. All you need to do is drop a like, leave a comment, and that way you’re entered to win these. I’m telling you, these things are legit limited editions with actual pieces of BG’s jersey and cleat put into the card, so you know you’re getting something that’s one of one. Like I say, just leave a comment for your chance to win, or you can get your hands on them today by clicking the link in the description or going to spectreports.com and using code joshd10 at checkout. All right, look, the Eagles had 14 penalties on Sunday. And for the record, that was the most amount of penalties in one game since the very first game that Nickiani coached for the Eagles. Yet, even then, they still managed to beat the Falcons in that game, 32-6. Unfortunately, you could see this one coming from a mile away. And granted, 21 points is a bigger lead than in some other games, although Philly has now blown multiple 14 plus point leads in the same season for the first time since 2018. Honestly, it’s hard to deny the similarities that we saw from back to the Broncos game. Remember, up 17 to three, but then Siri and KP get uber conservative and lose 21 to 17. Now, one time in a season is bad enough, but multiple times is pretty alarming. It may be worse than we thought. Okay, defense does play a factor, but the offense is obviously a whole lot more of the culprit. Yes, that’s despite Dallas killing the birds on play action passes, aka something Anthony Dabono warned about in the game preview since the Cowboys were one of the best teams running play action. And the Eagles defense has been one of the worst in the league at stopping play action. And I hate to say that did not change on Sunday as Dak Prescott completed nine of his 11 passes for 174 yards, the second most in a game in his entire career from play action, in case you were wondering. Again, none of that would have mattered had the Eagles kept their foot on the gas. However, that was not the case. As we all saw, and I said it last week that it felt like the Eagles were at a tipping point or crossroads or very close to that. There’s no doubt they are already there this week going into the Bears game. They are at a tipping point, especially after the Rams embarrassed the Bucks on national television, meaning Philly is no longer the one seed and no longer controls their destiny for the playoff seating. Obviously, that can change, which I’ll get into a little bit later in this video, but it’s such a let down for a game you’re up 21 to zero. I mean, for the first time in 26 years, the biggest, you know, blown lead in 26 years, it speaks for itself, but that type of game that magnitude against Dallas, are you kidding me? Anyway, back to the offense. Like Zack Burman said, the Eagles offense is at its best when it’s aggressive. We all know this, but you know, putting pressure on the defense, stretching the field, basically everything they did to start the game versus Dallas. It’s just unfortunately they go into these conservative modes where it’s as if the focus is on managing the game, not turning the ball over and hoping they can coast to a victory. Have to look at ourselves and look at the schemes and then we’re going to have to look at the execution and see what the see what the issues were. We just weren’t uh very efficient as an offense in that second half. I’m not I didn’t really feel that we took our foot off the gas. If that was not taking our foot off the gas, then I don’t even want to see what actually taking our foot off the gas looks like. Because one glance at the film in the second half and nothing about what the Eagles did seemed creative or opportunistic. Well, okay, I say that there’s a little bit that I’ll talk about in a second, but Honest NFL did put it this way. It was like watching cavemen cook. And we’ve kind of seen that for weeks now. What I really don’t understand is how you can prep for the Cowboys, know they added Quinnon Williams, and not be ready for fiveman fronts. Like we talked about it in our game preview. The NFL pregame show mentioned it multiple times. Tom Brady brought it up and yet apparently the birds weren’t game planning for it all week. Yeah. I mean I think a big thing is you know it’s it’s time on task with obviously you can’t run every play to every defense during the week. So, I think we really just have to hone in on, you know, having a game plan for every defense that a team has run and every possible defense that they could run and make sure that we can execute against all of them. I think that’s just how they’re built now given the three interior defenders they have. They want to keep their best guys on the field and it’s very effective for us and it was something that we didn’t handle as good as we like to. So, good opportunity to build if that’s something that teams show us. To be fair, Landon Dickerson did try to clear up some of his comments, saying that he didn’t fully mean. They didn’t prepare for it at all. But at the same time, there was kind of a double down of like, we don’t know what the teams are going to be running everything there. The Cowboys traded for Quinn Williams. You knew he was going to get out there on the field. They’re going to play their best five guys on the front or their best guys, which led to a fiveman front. It seemed blatantly obvious because, like I said, Dallas ran a fiveman front against the Raiders quite a bit and were dominant with it. Plus, the Eagles have seen it from other teams they’ve played, so they shouldn’t act like it was something brand new. In fact, shout out to Shane Half. But there were times when the correct play was called, but the blocking continues to be atrocious. Yeah, take all 10 of Saquon’s runs yesterday and realize his longest carry went for seven yards. And even worse, on those 10 carries, he was averaging -1 yards before contact. Like, the analytics from this year compared to last year tell the story. It’s basically twice as difficult to get anything going for sale. It’s inexcusable. It’s infuriating. I said that a million times in the live stream, but Saquon Barkley ended the game with 22 rushing yards in a game that the Eagles never trailed. I mean, by terms of the the game clock until it hit all zeros. They did not trail a single time. And Saquon Barkley only got 22 yards. That is mindboggling. After all, this is the Eagles. And if nothing else, we’re supposed to be able to run the football. What’s keeping the run game from from getting one. I’m not the coach. I’m not getting the run game going. Um not getting yards. Uh you know, and I’m tired of the excuse of people trying to stop our run game. I don’t really know subscribe to that. Just got to be better. Got to make plays. Look, the entire offense has appeared to regress since the by-week, and we’ll get to the passing game, but Saquon over the last three games has 58 carries, 165 yards, zero touchdowns, and a 2.8 yards per carry average with his longest run being 15 yards, which is crazy because I went back to double check and see how last year was thinking that’s, you know, an insane stat that he’s only had one run being 15 yards over the last 3 weeks. Seaquin went the entire season last year with only three games total where he didn’t have a run of at least 18 yards in a game. So yeah, lots of blame to continue throwing around, but going from one of the most dominant forces in the run game to one of the worst in the league in one season is just I don’t know, not even words for it. There’s a lot of things that they want to do that they can’t do successfully because they’re not winning the battle up front. I mean, if you if you look at if you watch the tape back again, there’s not a single guy on that offensive line that’s playing as well as he played a year ago. Uh, and that was including Lane when Lane was on the field. And and and for and in most cases, it’s it’s the guys are playing through injuries, which is unavoidable. And, you know, they’re trying their best, but they’re just not what they were. And they’re trying to be, but they’re just not. And it’s sort of undermining everything else they’re trying to do. And you look at the if you look at the offensive breakdowns across the board statistically almost every category they’re they’re 23rd they’re 25th they’re 26th they’re 27th and here we are in Thanksgiving week. So at this point it’s not an illusion at this is what you are. Let me ask you what is the reason? What’s the reason for the struggles of running the football? To me it’s blatantly obvious but people continue to say Kevin Patulo it doesn’t seem to matter. I don’t care what play calls you have. They’re not working. Your guys aren’t beating them one-on-one up front with the offensive line. To me, it’s a plain and simple answer. You got a banged up offensive line, but I’m curious also, do you subscribe to this idea that Saquon’s hurt or just isn’t even close to the same runner as last year? Just saying. I know the 28-year-old says he’s healthy, but there’s some that believe that something else is going on and maybe missing. Again, the play calling isn’t helping and the O line are missing blocks way more than making them. But you also can’t deny Tank Bsby shows a lot more juice when he gets the ball. Anthony Dabona brought this up on his latest takeaways, the Philly specialshow.com. But the Eagles at this point, I mean, they just have to try something whether or not because I’m not sure that I’m totally on board. I would love to see Tank Bsby get some other carries just for the heck of it cuz he does look more explosive. I don’t know if I’m fully ready to say Squan’s, you know, not able to find it at some point. But you have to try something. Really small sample size, I know, but Bsby has 49 rushing yards on eight carries and is averaging 6.1 yards per carry over his past three games. So, the idea that a struggling running game saw him get eight yards on one carry with 13 minutes left in the second quarter and then KP never went back to him is absolutely ridiculous. Now, that part is on the OC. You might as well change something, try something is the definition of insanity. They kept running the same thing with the same player and getting the same results yet seemingly expecting something different. Here’s another thing for you. Don’t know if you realize this. Tank Bsby does not have a single negative run on first down this entire season. Much smaller sample size than Saquon Barkley. Understand that. But not one negative run on first down. Just try him. However, in an attempt to add a spark, we learned that Howie Roseman is trying some things or was making a call to former Texans running back Damen Pierce to try and sway him to sign with the Eagles. Now, personally, I don’t think we need Pierce because Tank can barely even see the field as it is. But it was interesting to note that no deal got done and Pierce will now join the Chiefs. I’ll go back to what I was alluding to earlier. If the Eagles are going to stick with Nick Serriani’s offense, which I’m sure that they are at this point, it’s late in the year. Even if you change play callers, it’s going to be Serriani’s offense. then fixing the running game or finding a running game is priority 1A. Seriously, no matter the cost, get the running game working again because it’s about as plain and obvious as it gets that the current system is unsustainable. Of course, my wishful thinking and hope is perhaps this is exactly what Sirriani needed to make some changes since kudos to the Raiders, but they actually fired Chip Kelly as their offensive coordinator, citing the fact that despite him being the highest paid offensive coordinator in the league, the offense had become unwatchable. We should do that, right? Honestly, yes. Or at least some sort of change because another crazy stat is Saquon Barkley had the same amount of negative runs as Ashton Ginty. Think about those two offensive line, the Raiders and the Eagles. Same amount of negative runs, leaving Anthony Deona to predict Black Friday is a turning point like I also said, which makes sense given a short week and not changing play calling that quickly for this one. But if there’s another week like we’ve had pretty much all season, then it’s very possible we finally see a change. Surprised as an offensive this one yet consistency week in week out? No. We’ve been here before. We we’ll figure it out. What do you guys think? Are you buying the idea that we could see a change on Black Friday? Assuming, you know, seeing how the direction goes. And also, what are your thoughts on the latest comments from Jaylen? Jaylen saying that he’s not surprised they don’t have an identity. Is that reading into anything? Speaking specifically to the offensive coordinator or just, you know, kind of staying even kill like Jaylen normally is. Like I know that’s not entirely on KP, but it’s become blatantly obvious no matter where you turn for how bad things have gotten. They don’t do enough to get guys open because of play design, which is alarming. The point is when the route tree is simplistic, the defense knows that. They know like, hey, like his his stop points are, you know, six, 10, 14, and then occasionally he’s going to run a slant and look for a slant and go. Very easy for a DB to, you know, cover that. To be fair to Padillo, it’s not all on him. But when you look at the route concepts, the sequencing, everything there, it’s atrocious. And to have Nick Fos calling it out like it is, it just speaks more volumes onto the things that we kind of already know. And with three three and outs in their final seven possessions, even the last few remaining KP apologists didn’t necessarily have much to say after Dallas. Oh, I really hate them. Now, be that as it may, you also have to absolutely hate the execution and penalties and just total mistakes from the players because after they scored 21 points, they had 12 of their 14 penalties called against them. Meanwhile, they missed a field goal, turned the ball over twice, and had three to four big plays negated by those idiotic penalties. Now, you can argue about how some of them were tickytac, and sure, they might have been, but sorry, even my Kelly green colored glasses can admit Philly didn’t lose that game solely because of penalties. Although, Sirani was adamant after the game that those penalties are uncharacteristic of this year’s team. You expect me to believe that? Come on. The Eagles have had 30 penalties in their last three games. And heck, they’re also seventh in the league, seventh highest penalized squad. Let’s not act like, sure, 14 is, you know, higher than the mean, higher than the average. It’s not like the Eagles have not been penalized a lot just about every single game. And maybe the biggest problem is when they do commit a penalty, it’s basically an immediate drive killer. Since credit to Eagles, Eric, but the Birds offense is unable or unwilling to overcome penalties. As you can see, they now possess the sixth highest percentage of drives with a penalty and are the 23rd ranked offense when they are hit with a penalty. I mean, the graphic speaks for itself, but look at the teams they’re in line with. The Browns, the Saints, Vikings, Raiders, Panthers, and Titans. Yeah, not a good group to be clustered with when it comes to offense or really anything. But I got to be honest, the ones that are crushing for me are the penalties that are totally avoidable. Like say the drive to start out the second half when Matt Prior was hit with the illegal formation penalty. The insult to injury was that Patulo had actually dialed up some great plays to start and the Eagles would have had the ball well inside Cowboys territory. Unfortunately though, Prior lined up on the ball when he should have been off it and cost them essentially 25 yards and that was it. The more you look at it, it still was not one thing. There was the miss field goal, sure, there were penalties, everything else. And the run game issues are still a blatant concern. It’s not a matter of the run game. I think it’s a matter of the the execution, the discipline, and the focus and what we do. And collectively, we just have to take a step in that. It’s been a lot of instances where it’s shown up and it’s gotten us, but we’ve been able to figure it out and will ourselves to a win. And tonight, we didn’t. you know, we we played a hell of a first half and and then we didn’t play, you know, a not even a close enough to our standard in the second half with um the things that take no talent. Honestly, I look at a lot of those explosive plays and a lot of those opportunities um the you know, the ball bouncing the other way on the fumble and um you know, just controlling the things we can on offense with the uh things that take no talent. Not sure if you were aware of this, but through 12 weeks of the season, the Eagles have the 25th ranked success rate on offense, which is the same as the New York Jets. And since the bye-week, it’s probably been worse than that in terms of offensive points per game, yards per carry, even the red zone offense’s regressed, third and short conversion percentage, and their third and out rate. Yet, believe it or not, the pass game design versus Dallas was much better than it has been with Johnny Paige calling the individual mistakes and penalties far more costly. For example, Johnny shared of one play where KP finally designed a good concept to beat zone coverage. The problem, Fred Johnson was committing a hands to the face penalty to push this play back right when it occurred. Whereas had that not happened, the Eagles would have had the ball at the Dallas 12 late in the fourth quarter with it being first and 10. Or you had other routes set up beautifully, but the protection completely broke down. It’s always something. Also, shout out to Shil Kapadia. But there’s a reason the Eagles have had their lowest success rate in the last 20 years. Yes, I’ll say it a million times. He deserves a lot of blame. But you’re lying to yourself if you think a new OC fixes all of these other problems. At the same time, that’s not me saying KP should stay here. Please hear me out because you could make a change. You probably should make a change. But other coaches need to be held to the fire. Jeff Stoutland, Nick Serriani, the players themselves, the penalties there. Still, you go back to it. 10 points, 16 points, the Lions game, the Packers game, it’s inexcusable. on top of the no points over the final 41 and a half minutes against the Cowboys. So perhaps like Ruben Frank suggested, it’s time to officially move on from KP. Or really, I guess it’s, you know, past time for that move. The opportunistic thinking is that Sirani does have a history of inseason changes like when he handed Shane Stike in the reigns back in 2021 halfway through the season to call the offense or then in 2023 when Matt Patricia was asked to call the defense instead of Sha Desai. Of course, one of those worked and the other didn’t. But you got to give Sirriani some credit. At least he tried something. By the way, for the fact checkers or people wondering if it’s too late in the season based on precedent, technically it’s not since the Eagles were actually 10 and three when they switched defensive coordinators. Hey, want to hear the most annoying sound in the world? I feel like we got the right people um as players, as coaches um that that have had that have had success. Um and you know, we’re all searching for answers to make it more consistent. There’s some good things, obviously. There’s not there’s some not so good things. Um and we got to find, you know, the things that, you know, we really can hang our hat on and then, you know, the compliments that come off of that. Um, and you know, when we talk about identity, we always want to play tough, detailed together. That’s never changing. But the way you play each individual game obviously can change. So, it can’t be just, hey, well, we got to run it better, or hey, we got to pass it better, or hey, we got to play action better cuz it’s at at some point in each of these games that we have left. And really all that we’re focused on is this next one. Um, it’ll have to be a little bit of everything. Well, we’re not there yet. Obviously, you can hear that from Sirriani, but do me a favor. Wait until Black Friday. You can call me crazy now. Wait until Black Friday to punt on the season to give up if you’re ready to be at that point. Just hold out hope. See if anything changes. Whether it’s, hey, maybe it’s good, there’s a win, some optimism, whatever it is on that side, or like I’ve been talking about here on this video, if you have a loss, then I think that’s the ultimate changer there because you have more time. Instead of a shortened week here, they play the next game would be a Monday night game. So, you get extra days to make a change, a switch, play calling, everything else there. So, please hold on. At least give it one more week. Anyway, a couple positives were that at least Grant Calcater saw reduced role, only playing 15 snaps. And Brad man has been unbelievably reliable as he averaged 50 yards on five points with three of them ending up inside the 20. But I know it tells you how much of a bad way we’re in when we’re giving hype or praise to punter. However, on the other side of special teams, such as the return game, I don’t know what the heck Xavier Gibson was doing fielding a ball at the two yard line, like late in a game in the fourth quarter, in no world are you ever taught to field that punt. I mean, I guess I don’t care what time it is that game. To make matters worse, he fumbled it. And sure, fortunately, the defense got a stop, so it didn’t end up costing Philly, but it’s beyond time for Britain CVY, especially once you hear this stat. Xavier Gibson has 38 career touches and 12 fumbles in his career. That’s right, 12 fumbles, which means he’s fumbling at a 32% rate. Now, Gibson did get injured, so it’s probably going to take some time anyway there. We’ll keep you posted. And yes, prayers for his recovery, even with the terrible mistake. We don’t wish injuries on anybody, so making that one clear. Yeah, when it comes to the latest injury updates, Landon Dickerson is hobbled, and we’ll see more about his status later in the week. Same for Reed Blankenship, who injured his hamstring or thigh and didn’t return to the game. Although the incredibly promising news is that Vic Fangio said Reed Blankenship should play on Friday, which is a huge boost considering what Chicago does. But for rookie Andrew Makuba, the earliest he could be back would be the postseason. As ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler shared that Makuba will have surgery and then determine if he’s going to miss the rest of the season at that time. Because you realize the birds have Cydney Brown as the only healthy safety on the 53man roster with Andre Sam the only safety on the practice squad. I don’t know. Do you move Michael Carter to safety? They did that on Sunday in emergency spot position. Do you trust Cindy Brown at all to play there in the safety spot? Cooper to Gene that means most likely you have him at nickel. And then what? Jacorian Bennett as corner or key Ringo. God help us. Feels like that’s the immediate internal move. But I’d also be completely on board with bringing in some outside help by how banged up we are now. I don’t know. Is it too late to say perhaps a Justin Simmons finally being time? Overall, here’s my glass half full thoughts. AJ Brown, Jaylen Herz finally connected and got going. That’s huge. That cannot be overstated. Two, the passing concepts like I mentioned as well, they were better. They were improved. They weren’t maybe great, but they were better and there was some improvement certainly from the Lions and Packers game. And also, there is a ton to play for in this Bears game coming up on Friday because even though the Eagles fell from the number one seed to the number two seed after week 12, if they were to win on Friday, that means they’ll have the tiebreaker over all the NFC North contenders and the NFC South, assuming that it’s the Bucks. Basically, they could put themselves in position for a top two seed with a win. No, I’m not saying Phillyy’s in the best place right now, but let’s give it a little time. They’re not out of it. All right, make sure to hit the like button, subscribe, turn the notifications on, leave a comment so you get entered for the giveaway, which I’m going to share here in a second. But what were your takeaways? Good, bad, the ugly. What did I miss? Let me know. Appreciate you guys. And then again, for those wanting to get in on the BG relic card giveaway, courtesy of Jordan Spectre, Spectre Sports Art, this thing’s pretty legit. You got the Paragon case that comes with it, the Immortals design. We give a lot of these things away for just the Immortals card collection, but not the BG Relic. This is the first time. So, pretty cool from Jordan, but legit case. You got that comes with a uh if I can get this thing out, a certificate of authenticity as um here you go. So, each of those come with that certificate of authenticity. This one here is mine. And uh it’s not a one of one. So, the other one, I guess the odds are better. You could potentially get a one of one, but it’s still legit. It’s got BG, the jersey from the Super Bowl. It’s a it’s a green patch there. It’s all wrapped up and protected, but you got the case on it, the authentic relic patch, the acrylic stand, and one authentification token. So, good luck to you guys. You’ll hear this all the time, but thank you so much for the support, especially on Thanksgiving week. This community is the best. You guys are the best. You all know that. But the reason that we can do these crazy giveaways, shout out to Jordan Spectre. But some crazy stuff planned in the works. Stay tuned. More on an upcoming video. U by the way, I will spin for this probably on the next live stream, maybe the Wednesday live stream. So, look out for that. Um, but it might be during the game stream on Friday. So, I’ll keep everyone posted. You don’t have to be present to win, but you do have to have a comment down there. So, go leave one right now. Hit the like button, and I’ll see you on the next one. This has been the Philly Special.

After choking away a sure win against the Cowboys, the Eagles learned they’ve lost another player for quite some time in safety Andrew Mukuba. However, on the positive side, Reed Blankenship will apparently play on Friday (according to Vic Fangio). Of course, Kevin Patullo continues to struggle… and while Nick Sirianni says he’s not going to make changes there, the weakest link on this team is the offensive line. In this video, I’ll go over everything you may have missed from the Week 12 loss while providing a couple reasons to hold on to a glimmer of hope ahead of the Black Friday game versus the Bears. So let’s talk about that and everything else around the Birds!

At least the Eagles will be getting Reed Blankenship back…? 😅 Any positives from Sunday? Make sure to LIKE and COMMENT to be entered for the BG giveaway!

My take away is their changes, specially on the front line, that need to be made immediately. I do believe though many of them are pretty banged up. Also, yes I agree, try to run more with Bigsby, it honestly can’t hurt at this point.
HURTS HAS TO GO ROGUE IN THE SEC9ND HALF. I DON'T BLANE HIM. WHO AGREES ???
The only positive thought that I have is that this week has to GOT be rock bottom. What a comprehensive embarrassment. They didn't play like a playoff team at all, in any aspect of the offense or special teams.
Lets just shave our heads.
Go birds
We just need to rely on Jalen’s arm the rest of the year, and I believe in our QB to get us back to the SB
Birds will use this loss as fuel and will come out stronger and better than ever for the second straight superbowl win!!!!
I recall a team that made the post season, but had so fallen apart, that the wildcard game was a foregone result. Glad none of those characters are still in the script (oh?). We may have a Tom Brady in that QB room. If you will lean away from 26 for 44, will you lean away from 1 for 16? If we are facing a rebuild emergency for next season, building the value of 16 or 1 to make a deal is not 2023 dumb. Steve Penney nearly won the cup with the Canadiens after being brought up the day the playoffs started, the following year he was the best goalie in the world, the following year after that he was playing out of this world and got hurt. All hope was lost as the most likely contender for the cup looked to a twenty year old who had yet to run a razor over his frenchy face. That was Patrick Roy. We never would have know him. Penney was traded in the off season for a box of tape and a bucket of pucks. And that is pro sports, before participation trophies.
Key takeaway: Patullo undeniably exposed!
Are you KP's lawyer? The season is over because Nick's Offensive scheming is the same as KP with the same experience. We are what we are its freaking over a waste of a season with this type of talent
I’m not gonna lie if we lose versus chicago and NOTHING changes we might be done for the season…
I think jakorian bennet and coop at safety
Those BG cards are super dope
Saquon's not hurt, he's cursed six ways till Sunday
The positive thing about this is lost is Hopefully we wake up and scheme better and get more creative with the play calling.
Where is Marcus Epps ?
Love the show Josh but one positive about the game on Sunday is that we did see Aj brown and Jalen hurts maybe kinda sorta get back In rythem
11:13 I think the issue with Barkley is he keeps looking for that home run and he needs to just get downhill as soon as he sees the alley and I feel like he’ll get better opportunities once Tank biggest beat gets more touches
GO BIRDS!
Patullo was coaching sacred in the second half again, after arguably one of the best first halfs.
Silver lining to me is that at least the offense has shown that it can be unstoppable. We know the talent on the field and for the first half Patullo was able to call some good plays. If they can just clean up a couple areas this team will be incredible.
re offensive struggles, many are saying that the Eagles offense is too simplistic – so much so that the defenses know what they're going to do. Tony Romo, Kurt Warner, Eli Manning and others have commented on this. I think Rex Ryan called the Eagles playbook a 9th grade level. RE: Jalen saying "We'll figure it out". It's Thanksgiving! it's the drive to the playoffs. DId you see the way the Rams played this week? That's a well coached team peaking at the right time. If the Eagles haven't figured it out by now then a sudden reversal seems unlikely. What's he going to say though, so it's a typical Jalen "learn and look ahead" statement.
The only positive is now that we finally lost after "playing not to lose" again maybe they'll stop playing the entire game conservatively.
I need this offense to go heavy pass for the remainder of the season. Been saying it since week 2. Go Birds
What positive can we take away from this game. Well now I’m positive I know what a Super Bowl hungover is.
We need to fix our offense play calling ASAP the fast 3 and outs is killing are Defense
KP needs to go. He's had a million chances to turn things around and this game should show how the ball will roll.
Siriani is in denial and won’t admit his friend KP isn’t up to the task just like 2023. He doesn’t have the internal fortitude to take the appropriate measures to correct this. It’ll be too late by the time he’s forced to confront it.
Love BG we should have never let 77 go was a big part of the run game
The birds looked good briefly, I guess that's a positive lol. It's extremely hard to be psyched about the Bears game after watching this bs. I feel sorry for poor Braiden Mann, dude is going to punt his leg off. Also 🖕 KP.
2026 Eagles draft:
Rd 1- CB
Rd 2- OL
Rd 3- CB
Rd 3- OL
Rd 4- S
Rd 4- S
IF WE CAN STAY ON FIRE LIE THE FIRST HALF ADD THE GIANTS AND VIKINGS GAMES WITH CONSISTENCY WE CAN BE ON FIRE FOR REAL
Tbh with you I think Ringo is a safety idk why they haven’t made that transition yet if he is to stay on the team
It's just so frustrating. The O line is so bad this year and Patullo is not helping the offense with his play calling and awful route concepts. Never does anything different. You get a jet sweep and a fake and that's it for new or different. Why would Howie try to pick up Dameon Pierce if Tank can't get on the field? For kick returns? At least hire a consultant. KP and his word salad is old, tired, and nothing has changed.
I hope we are able to get fully healthy soon (especially our safeties and the offensive line)! In terms of play calling, KP certainly doesn’t seem like he will figure it out anytime soon (if ever), so it would be nice to try someone new at the role and see if it can help even a little bit
