What direction will the Houston Astros go?
Is Houston going to be big player? Framber has been such a big part of this. Are they going to make the big starting pitcher signing? I love that we’re being so hard on them and it’s their their first year not making the playoffs in 10 years and they still won 87 games and I think they finished like a game out. Like a lot of the pieces we have here are still I think good enough to be a winning team. Yeah, there’s a couple decent glaring holes that I think are going to be guys that aren’t nec like I don’t think Framer’s coming back. Centerfield still kind of a question mark. Nice year Jake Meyers, but that’s an area for improvement as well. Corner outfield in general for them. Can Yordon stay healthy for a full season? Like that’s a big question. The Carlos Koreah trade happened and it was insane and now we’re kind of like, well, now he’s back on the Astros, but what does he really look like at this stage of his career? So, they do have a ton of questions they have to answer. That’s not even getting to their bullpen, which has four really good pieces and might not need too much addressing, but do you want to keep the $20 million closer on the book if you’re not trying to immediately compete in this window? So, there’s a lot of directions they could go in. And you’re right, it is it is the first time in a while where we’re gonna enter a season looking at the Houston Astros, not necessarily knowing what to think, not just penciling them in at the top of the American League West, which is looking kind of vulnerable right
