Looks like a “misprint” and they sewed the label on upside. A seam ripper could probably remove it if it really bothers you. If you were referring to the tussled up fabric, I agree with the other commenter that its typical piling and could be shaved off with a razor or one of those handy little sweater shaving tools.
Cool hat, I’d fix the piling issue but the upside label is kinda unique and fun.

It’s hard to tell, but looks like normal wool piling. If you buy a cheap electric wool shaver it’ll look like new
