I have tried very hard to completely block out the Danger Russ as a Broncos player experience but it does seem to matter who is under center.
A lot more work to do. But definitely a good improvement within three years.
If he can lead this team to a Super Bowl and win it I agree but we have a long way to go.
Whats been so bizarre is how weve done it. Everyone predicted that wed sorta become the saints 2.0 and slowly become an offense first team with the defense taking a step back, but its been the opposite. The defense has gotten even better every year hes been here, and the offense, while better than the pre-payton era, has still struggled to find consistency.
I dont think we gave enough credit to sean as a game manager and genuine head coach, and focused way too much on the sexy offensive playcalling stuff.
Hate him most of the game until the fourth but he just churns out 10+ win seasons

Very pleased with his results but we have a real chance to at least make a deep playoff run this year. Now’s his time to really prove himself
Defense.
Not even remotely accurate. If/when the Broncos get bounced in the first round, the Penners will increase the pressure exponentially. They’re not investing billions in a new stadium to have the Broncos lose in the first round every year.
Love it yes but we need to pump the brakes a bit. Let’s make a deep run in the playoffs first.

Hate him?? Do we remember Hackett?? Do we remember Joseph(sucks to mention but it what it is). For the people who actually understand football Payton has been actually better than we could have expected. Our ST used to cost us games. This guy knows how to run a team and knows how to get the best out of his coaches. We are blessed to have him. His vision for oline has been spectacular. We are drafting late round guys who are balling. You think this is our GM lol. No it’s our GM asking who he should target. Mahomes is a beast but guarantee he is just another arm without Andy Reid!! Appreciate your freaking coach. I sure do. He should be coach of the year.
