The Dallas Stars’ 1999 Stanley Cup jersey is BACK 😍🔥 #texashockey
The Dallas Stars are bringing back the most iconic jersey in franchise history, but with a modern twist. You see, when the Minnesota Northstarss moved to Dallas, they initially kept the base design of the uniforms. But in 1997, the Stars introduced a new green alternate jersey that resembled the NHL’s All-Star game look from that era. And it was in this uniform that the Stars would win their first and as of now only Stanley Cup. The jersey eventually became the inspiration for the club’s full-time home and away look. And even though the Stars moved away from the design in 2007, they briefly brought back a similar look for their reverse retro set in 2021. But today, the Stars announced the 99 jersey, which pays tribute to the uniform in the 1999 Stanley Cup run. Now, the jersey isn’t an exact replica of the original. You might notice that the black and green are swapped, and the colors match the Stars current palette. But that’s not even the best part. See, the inside of the collar pays tribute to the Stars triple overtime victory to win the cup in 1999. And the jersey will be worn for 12 games this season and makes its on ice debut this
