“Talk is cheap,” Williams said. “We can’t just talk about it. We can’t just try. We’ve got to execute. We know that. That’s much of the work being done in the offseason.”
Don’t they say some variation of this every offseason

This guy still being employed is absolutely insane
MLB should give fans the right to cupcheck any member of the Pirates front office when they talk like this.
Every year they say the goal is a world series. Every year they do nothing in the off-season.
They have earned no good will from our fanbase because they’ve lied more times than I can count.

Travis Williams has zero role in baseball operations. His words are meaningless. Unless GMBC or Bob himself say payroll will increase, the words spoken by these men are meaningless.

We hear this every year. I remember when people actually believed it but those days are gone. It was however, very cool to see the word “bloviates” used, especially in an article about the bucs. Maybe this word could be used more in future Pirates news articles. Jason is the best.

But we did! We gave Skenes 3.4 million dollars, that’s a new record. Time to uncrack those knuckles and sit back down boys, we did some good spending this off-season. Plus we told everyone we are “in” on some big name free agents AND announced another new Skenes bobblehead. Yuuuup, we did real good this off-season. I believe we’ve earned ourselves some Wiggle whiskey
