Heat. [Music] Heat. [Music] Heat. [Music] [Music] Heat. [Music] Ask and you shall receive. Broncos country. Welcome in to the Broncos Breakdown by Chat Sports. one of the most special Broncos breakdown live editions we’ve ever done here on the channel because we have got ourselves not only Broncos stuff to talk about during today’s live show, but a very special guest that you guys know and love. Ben from Sports Talk Denver is going to be joining us here in just a moment. Now, listen. I know that you guys find me just a little bit pessimistic sometimes. Old Uncle Moosey might not be as optimistic as our guy Ben from Sports Talk Denver, but I think this is one of the coolest collabs this channel has ever done. We’ve got Ben, who’s got the positive outlook on the Denver Broncos, and Moose, who can be notably a little harsh on some of the players, but that’s okay. Everybody’s got their own style. Now, before we bring Ben on, here’s what I need from you. We got 155 people rocking in the building with us. We’ve only got 39 likes and producer Reed, that’s not good enough. It’s not good enough. We need at least 65 likes before we bring our guy Ben on. That’s the first thing I need you to do. The second thing I need you to do is type Ben in the live chat. Let’s get the Ben’s going in the chat and we’ll bring our boy Ben on and you guys will be able to ask some questions to the both of us. Remember to use Broncos if you want your question answered or super chat. That’s the best way that we see it. If you don’t use Broncos, there’s a good chance we don’t answer your question. So, if you want # Broncos, if you want a question answered from Ben from Moose or both of us together, do me a favor, get your questions going right now. But you got the Benz going in the chat. I’m seeing them right now. Our chat rate not nearly high enough, guys. We just hit 93 likes, Reed. So, they got the first part of it right. Keep the Ben’s going in the chat. Keep the Ben’s going in the chat. I got Mad Dog saying Ben. Zeus saying Ben. Bennett saying Ben. Mark, what’s up, brother? Good to see you. Pierce Clark, what’s good? Lan, Zus, Jacob, I’ve got Bull Work is in here. Let’s go, brother. Dr. Checkmate, one of our favorites here on the channel. Michael Corey. Oh, we got the Benz going right now. So, you know what? I think it’s about time, producer Reed, that we send our boy Ben on here in five, four, three, two, one. Ben, you’re live. What is good, Broncos country? I’m so excited to have you on the show, man. It is a true pleasure. I have been watching you since I took over this channel. You are a homegrown Denver Broncos fan. somebody that built his channel from the ground up. So, I have a lot of respect for you. Something that I was not able to accomplish. I took over for Matthew Peterson. Everybody loves Pety. But, uh, this is definitely one of those things now where I look at it and I go, I get to talk to somebody who loves this team as much as I love this team. And finally, we give the people what they want. So many Broncos fans excited to see you. First of all, just like I did or you did for me, let’s have you plug your channel. Where do you come from? Where can they go to watch you? Well, back at you with all the love, man. I I mean, I know Pera is up there and almost hitting a million subs, but you’re the biggest Broncos channel out there, and I watch you daily as well. So, uh, this is like a mutual admiration society here, man. So, this is, uh, unreal to do this. Ben Sports Talk Denver. Uh, basically just on YouTube. I I don’t do all the other things, the ticky talks and the Facebook, all that. So, yeah, hit me up, man. Yeah, absolutely. Hey, by the way, Ben, uh, so we’re going to Here’s what we’re going to do for the first 15 to 20-ish minutes. We’re just going to chitchat. We’re going to talk ball. We’re going to answer some questions from the Broncos faithful. We’re going to jump into a live cut with Ben on the show. Make sure we get that out to you guys on YouTube. So, make sure you subscribe to the Broncos Breakdown and Sports Talk Denver. And uh, then we’ll have you on your way. But some more pressing news here. Broncos fans are getting down in the comments section. We just saw it before we went live. Luke Watenberg, four-year extension with the Denver Broncos. First thoughts initially. What say you about Luke signing the four-year deal? Uh, dude, we got the receipts of having the smartest ownership group, the smartest GDM who are consistently just paying players before they cost your team an arm and a leg. And I think this is another fantastic example of the Broncos being out in front of something. we’re going to look back at this deal like we did the Pater Tan deal or the Quinn Miners deal or the Jonathan Cooper deal and you’re like, bro, that’s highway robbery that we got this locked down. Uh you hear about just the chemistry that this offensive line has had and how even after we lost Ben Powers, this offensive line has not dropped anything, dude. So, I I’m hyped for this. Um and and yeah, I just think this is going to be another one of those brilliant moves that we got out in front of way before it became a problem. No, and you know what? I I think you’re absolutely correct there, Ben. Uh, one of the things that I’ve brought up to Broncos fans, not only on this channel, but to anybody on the internet, this offensive line, the continuity between Garrett BS, Quinn Miners, Luke, Mike McGllinchi, Ben Powers, this is probably the most cohesive offensive line in the NFL. And you lose Ben Powers and the first thought that you have is we lost a starting offensive lineman, but then Alex Pelchesky steps in and we don’t miss a beat. you get Calvin Throck Morton that can step in on any given drive and really uh give you that certified run blocking that he’s excellent at. So, one of the things I’m not worried about when it comes to this Denver Broncos team is the state of their offensive line. It’s the one of the best in the NFL. And now the Luke Watenberg signing just proves to me that Shawn Payeyton views this team as something that he doesn’t want to let go. He wants to keep the core pieces. Remember, you can’t pay everyone. We saw yesterday there was a Zack Stevens tweet that came out that said the Broncos are not interested, at least right now, in making sure that John Franklin Myers gets his payment due. So, you can’t pay everybody. It’s just the sad fact of life. But I think what we’ve seen is these key pieces, the offensive line, the Pat Certan, Nick Bonito, Zack Allen, we’ve clearly seen what George and Shawn Payeyton are trying to do here, and that’s build up a core unit of people. And uh that’s what we want to see. That’s the best part of this, dude. Yeah. And you just look like we just played Max Crosby and you didn’t hear his name because our offensive line hung tough against them. you watch that Thursday night game where Josh Allen is running for his life and looks horrendous. Uh, eight sacks and we played that same exact defense and they held up. Uh, and so I’m I’m thrilled with this and I know that Cincinnati game he have like four or five penalties, but Shawn Payeyton like caught himself throwing the refs under the bus and his quote was something like, “Hey, we don’t usually send things to the league office, but if you look back at that tape, there was a couple questionable calls.” So, I’m thrilled with it, man. And I I just think we got 90% of this team locked up and 50 million in cap space to spend next season. We never have to say Russell Wilson’s name again. We’re doing all of this with the biggest dead cap hit in NFL history. This is going to be a fun half decade here with Shawn and Bo together. Well, and you know what, my friend, it’s going to be a fun half decade and it’s going to be a fun couple of years having you on board with us. Uh every chance that you can get, we would love to have you on well after this. We love you here. Let’s uh let’s start getting questions from Broncos country because I see the super chats rolling in. I see the hashtag Broncos being used. We want to start answering some questions from Broncos fans to two mega Broncos fans here in Ben and Moose. Let’s start with our guy Dr. Checkmate. This was the very first one that came in before we started. Love your guest. Positive Broncos energy. He’s talking about you, Ben. Also, possible weather issue Sunday night in DC. Prayers for Lorent. Happy Thanksgiving to you, Dr. Checkmate. Uh Ben, very quickly before we go on to the next question, uh thoughts about the Broncos versus the Commanders. Really quick, what what say you? What are you looking forward to in that game? Yeah, I I’m super looking forward to our defense just teeing off against Marcus Mariota. This was a game as I was doing my preview of the season that I’m like, this is going to be the best game of the whole season because it was that Jaden Daniels Boon Knicks clash. And what you’re what it’s looking like is Jaden Daniels and that Commander team wants nothing to do with this Broncos pass rush. And so we’re going to be going against Marcus Mariota. That weather stuff is interesting because it it does sound like polar vortex and cold. And we’re going to figure out real quick if we have an answer with JK Dobbins going out because I think we’re going to have to run the ball quite a bit. Yeah, it’s going to be an interesting uh threeback set there with Harvey Bedet and Mclofflin. Let’s go to that next question there. Producer Reed, uh we had Dr. Checkmate coming in with that first $5 super chat. I’m noticing a lot of people getting their questions in. Ai Tuna Bowl, what up brother? I’ll start it off. I watch both channels. Let’s go, Broncos. Shout out to you, Ai Tunable. You’re an absolute legend, my friend. Uh, Young Fege, another guy that gets in quite frequently. Most recently, too. Moose, it’s unfortunate that Cook signed with the Bills. Do you and Ben see the Broncos getting any more wide receivers? Good to see you, Ben. Back at it. So, I’ll start with uh my real quick take here, Ben, on the Brandon Cooks. I thought the Broncos could have had real interest in Brandon Cook, seeing as Shawn Peyton drafted him back in 2014 with the New Orleans Saints. But the more and more I think about it, the more and more I’m like, man, I I would have much rather played that really strong hand for Damen Pierce and found out the next day that’s what the Broncos did. So, I don’t see them adding another wide receiver. I think they’re going to roll with what they’ve got. But, uh I’ll throw it over to you. What do you think? Yeah, I think we have Brandon Cooks right now and his name is Marvin Mims Jr. and when he came back after that concussion, the only two bad offensive games this whole season, it’s very notable that Marvin Mims was out. And so him being back, I just think opens up everything. And there’s no way at this point in his career that you would take Brandon Cooks over Marvin Mims. And so you just hope that he stays healthy. Uh so I would say I don’t think we’re making another move for a wide out right now. And uh yeah, with the Damenon Pierce thing, if Shawn really wanted him, we could have signed him to our 53. He just didn’t want to go to a the Broncos practice squad. So I in some ways I think it’s kind of a a sign that the he feels better about the Broncos running back room than he does about the Kansas City Chiefs running back room. He thinks he has a better shot at playing for the Kansas City Chiefs than beating out Bedet, uh Jalil, and obviously RJ Harvey. So I think it is actually a good sign that we didn’t get him. Yeah. No. And you know what? That’s great insight right there. I I think you’re absolutely right. We really need to focus, especially as the weather gets worse here. We got to start focusing on running the football better because, you know, the offenses, they not that they take a hit, but they dip a little bit in productivity as the snow gets onto the ground, as the weather gets down to 20 and 10° and you go to these outdoor arenas. You know, you’re gonna have to play uh the the the Chiefs in Arrowhead in week 17 on Christmas. I can’t imagine that that’s going to be a what do you call it? Yeah. Yeah, exactly. It’s not going to be a toasty game. So, um it’s going to be very interesting to see how the Denver Broncos attack their offensive game plan going forward. Now, Ben, you are uh pretty new to the channel. I know you said you watch every single day, but I’m sure you’ve never seen us do one of these. Reed is very familiar with how we do this. But we got a D B for L Broncos Unchained Bang. Shout out boss man Jay coming in with the $50 super chat. He says, “How much do you think J-Max stepped up due to the complication with Baron?” Baron has taken out tight ends. Jade on Debo. So I’ll start off with this. I thought Jaquan McMillan against the Chiefs played one of the best games of his career. Um I was notably very very tough on Jaquan McMillan this off season only because of the addition of Jade Baron and I said you’re not going to bench your first round pick. You’re going to play him at that nickel corner spot. But then Jaquan McMillan becomes a rotational piece and almost like they kind of float in and out. They’re both kind of 1A and 1B starters. And I saw last game, man, I I’m not ready to give up on Jaquan McMillan. I’m not even ready to let him walk out the door. I need him on this football team. I actually listed him as one of my must resigns uh in one of my episodes that I’ve got coming up later this week. So, I’m going to throw it over to you. Uh shout out to Boss Man Jay, fan favorite of the show. What do you think about Jaquan McMillan? What do you think about Jade Baron? Where do you see the uh nofly zone 2.0 going from here? Yeah, J-Mack, I always call him McMillions because I think you got to pay him McMillions. Uh, you you can I just cannot believe that you have Patrick Certan go down at halftime against the best offense in football. We saw what George Pickkins and CD Lamb did against the Eagles and there was zero drop off because Vance Joseph just knows all of these dudes strength so perfectly that he plugs them in wherever and he sees the Broncos. My entire fandom, the death of me has been the Broncos covering tight ends and then here comes Jay Baron shutting down Travis Kelce and then tweeting at at Taylor Swift like, “Hey, put me in your next song.” So, I couldn’t be more thrilled with how this defense looks. And it’s it’s going to be terrifying to see what it looks like when you’re moving Riley to the number two spot and you’re getting Patrick Certan, the best defensive player on the planet. And that’s not an orange and blue take. That’s what the NFL voters told you last season. So, it’s it’s freaking wild, dude. So, I’m gonna I’m gonna very quickly jump back onto that Jade Baron take really quick before we answer some other super chats here. Um, yeah, I think Jade Baron’s role now on this team has become abundantly clear. And that was one of the things just three or four weeks ago I said he’s kind of just this playmaker, right? He’s this guy that he doesn’t really have a defined spot. He just goes out and he kind of floats around in the back field and he just makes plays. But I think what the Broncos really did was they saw that versatility, the ability to play outside corner, nickel, and even a little bit of safety, and they said, “This guy’s a hard-hitting dude for his size. We’re going to throw him on opposing tight ends. We’re going to have him primarily cover out in the flat and up the seam and just see what he can do.” And so far, he’s been excellent. He welcomes that challenge. So, I think Jay Baron has got a bright future with this team. And eventually if Riley Moss, you know, I I I’m not saying he is leaving, but if he ends up deciding to leave or Jaquan McMillan chases the bag, you’ve got someone that can fill both of those roles and he’s a firstround talent. I think you’re seeing that on full display. Thank you, boss man. Jay Ben, let’s go to the next one from our girl Sharon or guy Sharon. Oh, love her. Love her. That’s my girl, too. No touchdowns. Both of Oh, wait a minute. What does that say? No TDs. Yeah, she she just Yeah. Yeah. She’ll super chat every time Broncos score a touchdown. So that’s awesome. Oh, cool. Very nice. No touchdowns, but love you both together. Thank you so much, Sharon. I greatly appreciate that. And Ben, thanks you as well. Danny Codle, fan favorite of the show. The collaboration I needed. Moose and Ben are the goats. Ben, my family keeps your wife in our prayers. Thank you for the content. DB4L. Um, yeah. You know what, Danny, you’re you’re an absolute legend. Danny’s one of those guys that gets in. He’s kind of like my boots on the ground guy. Uh he’ll send me photos from camp. He’ll send me photos from games. So I really appreciate Danny Codle and uh all the things that he does. I’ll turn it over to you really quick, Ben, if you have anything else you want to add there. No, appreciate it so much, man. Yeah. Uh my wife uh was diagnosed with uh colon cancer and uh thankfully kind of through all of that and she’s had a clear cat scan and and things are good. But the community on YouTube has just blown me away that yeah, people around the country are thinking and praying for my family. So, it’s it’s meant a ton and uh awesome to have Broncos in common with all these folks. Yeah, my condolences to you. Uh that is a very very scary thing. Cancer is nothing to joke about. Um Singleton coming coming back from it. you know, it just it made that hit so much harder and and just what a dog he is to play on one ACL one game and then to, you know, be like, “Hey, I want to postpone this life-saving surgery so I can beat the Raiders and get back on the field as quickly as possible.” Like, what an absolute dog and the epitome of of what this culture is that Shawn Payeyton has has told us he’s built. You know, I couldn’t agree more. And you know, I I said in an earlier episode today, um, it would be totally understandable if you decided to walk away from football. I I said if I got diagnosed with cancer, I don’t know that I’d be coming back to work anytime soon. I’d be, you know, sitting back, taking time with my family, taking time with my wife, and and deciding what my next move was. And Alex Singleton comes out. He willingly divulges that he has testicular cancer. talks about early detection, how important that that is, and then says, “But I’ll be damned if I’m going to miss any more time than I should.” So, this commitment to this football team, the commitment to his craft, the commitment to excellence, and to the locker room itself, as brothers in there, is just a a true testament to the fortitude that this guy has. I have a lot of respect for Alex Singleton. Tishes, what a collab. We’re going to see a lot of those today. Mr. Ben, the most optimistic with the most honest. I love the Luke signing and the ying and the yang. Uh I love the Luke signing. He will only get better. What do you want to extend? Who do you want to extend next? For me, it’s Jac. So, I’ll uh I’ll throw this over to you first, Ben. Is there anyone on your mind specifically that you want to be extended right away? To me, it would be Jac for sure. You’re also talking Malcolm Roach coming to the end of the deal and John Franklin Meyer, you know, did Savon Jones, is he going to be able to step in there? The Broncos have have kept and believed in Uzarque, the like he had a year-long suspension because of some gambling stuff when he was in college, and he’s stepped up and looked like a beast. I I was shocked the Broncos kept him. Shawn Peyton kept showing all this faith in him. So, are could you let a Malcolm Roach or a John Franklin Meyer go? Uh I I love McMillions and if we could get him, you know, I think it’ll be a sign if if the Broncos do not resign J-Mack, it’s because they’ve seen enough from Jade Baron that they they feel confident with who they have and just don’t want to be given top dollar. We already have one of the highest paid defenses in football and I think all of us uh want some more Star Wars numbers on offense. though with that 50 million in cap space we have I’d like to see us go for some more offensive weapons uh over putting too much money on our defense. Who who would your priorities be? Priority number one for me and I’m going to stick with the offense. I’m going to say JK Dobbins. I I I think what you saw from him was I at one point this guy was third in the NFL in rushing yards and you were paying him less than $2 million in a singular season. that those numbers are infathomable to me. Is that the right word? I don’t even know if I said it correctly. But the the the way that this Broncos running back room is constructed. I know going back to last year, losing Javvante Williams and now seeing him have the success that he’s got in Dallas, it kind of stings a little bit because Javvante was one of our guys, right? Like he was somebody that we were like, “Hey, this is our dude.” But I also believe that the commitment to the run game, the commitment to making this rushing attack better was something that was high on Shawn Peyton’s mind. And I don’t regret it for a singular moment to go out and sign JK Dobbins and draft RJ Harvey in the second round. A lot of people said it was a reach. Fun fact, Ben, I had said originally back in April when the draft was going on, I was like, there’s this kid from UCF. His name is RJ Harvey. People have him as a fifth or a sixth round talent. This guy’s gonna go in the top three rounds and lo and behold, he goes to my football team and I was just over the moon. I was jumping for joy. Uh I think it’s JK Dobbins, but I honestly I’m right there with you. If I could resign somebody on defense right now, it’s Jaquan McMillan. Demented tree, what’s up, brother? Good to see you again. Palo seems to be playing himself out of a backup role. Is there a scenario where we’d keep him over Powers? Powers definitely has more trade value. So, it’s an interesting thought here and I’ll take the reigns on this one really quick. Um, I think Powers is having one of the best years as a Bronco. He has been outstanding this football season. At the time of his injury, he had really one penalty and no sacks allowed. Think about that. Like, I don’t think the Broncos want to give up on Ben Powers. Now, here’s what I will say. It’ll be very interesting to see kind of how Shawn Payeyton uh and George Payton really evaluate him as he’s coming back from his injury, right? You want to know that, hey, that bicep is not going to be a problem moving forward. If we see that production dip, maybe there’s a different conversation at the end of the year. But as of right now, no, I’m sticking with the continuity that I’ve gotten. I’m keeping Ben Powers in that spot. What say you? Yeah, I mean shout out Zack Strife, like offensive line coach, played left tackle for Shawn Peyton for all those years in New Orleans and he’s just getting so much out of this offensive line. Like Paltro, wasn’t that our third fourth option at that position, right? Because we had Gargulio going into the season who was going to be the the swing guard. He got hurt. Uh and then obviously Matt Per. So like I don’t know. It’s you almost start to get cocky like, hey, you know, we got Frank Crumb blocking extra points. You’re almost like, Zack Strife could could have you and I lining up on the offensive line and coach us up. Um, so I I trust whatever they do and and but it’s hard to think we would move on from Powers because he’s so good. But the offensive line has not cratered like I was worried they were going to when he got hurt. I I’m right there with you. Now, I will say this to everybody that has thrown in their super chats. I greatly appreciate it. if we want to get into our cut. We cannot answer every single one. So, we’re going to answer a couple more here, probably two or three more, then we’re going to jump into our first Broncos cut. So, if you did send in a super chat and it wasn’t answered, I do apologize. Um, but we’re going to try and answer as many as we can. We do have Ben on a limited time. I wish we could have them on every single Oh my Jesus. Reed, are you seeing what I’m seeing? Good lord. You know what, Dustin Hawkins or Dustin Hanks, not Dustin Hawkins, what am I saying? Dustin Hanks, appreciate your $2 super chat. Unfortunately, he comes in with the $2 and then another D B for L. Dustin Hank Bang. Shout out to you, Dustin. been wondering that when the Broncos are playing teams like the Raiders, the Jets, etc., Payton plays with the play calling and when the playing when playing the Eagles, the Kansas City Chiefs, etc. Play calling is more structured and that’s why it looks the way it does. Thoughts? I know this is something that you’ve been on, Ben. I have watched your videos. I know what you’ve said about Shawn Peyton’s play calling. So, here’s what I’ll say. I thought that during this stretch of games during we’ll call it week four basically up to the Chiefs game this last week in week 11. I thought there was a marriage of sloppy play from Bon Knicks from the wide receivers dropping footballs and Shawn Peyton’s play calling got a little too predictable. Too many screens, too many passes behind the line of scrimmage. I was the one stomping my foot saying, “Payton, if you’re not gonna let Bo stretch the ball down the field,” and I’ve been critical. Bo’s been bad downfield, 20 plus yards has been kind of sloppy this year. I look at this and I say, “You’ve got to at least do if you’re going to if you’re going to not let Bo stretch the ball, man, you got to hand off the play call. You got to give it to Davis Webb. You got to give it to Lombardi.” But then things started to unravel a little bit. You see the game against the Cowboys, Bo stretches the ball down the field. You saw the game against the Chiefs. Bo stretching the ball down the field. So now I look at this and I say, “Okay, we’re at a spot where I feel like I can trust Shawn Peyton’s ability to call the plays and Bo seems a little bit more comfortable barking out the orders, move in the pocket a little bit. What say you?” What’s your take on Bo Nicks, the play calling, the wide receiver drops, the the the Broncos offensive dilemma that we’ve seen this year? What’s your take on that? Yeah, great great point there. Like we play to the love our level of our competition at times which can be frustrating. Like teams that you think we’re just going to mollywop it’s closer games than you think. But Shawn Payeyton is the winningest coach in NFL history in the month of October for a reason that like once he can actually game plan. He’s playing like 3D chess while we’re all playing Words with Friends or something. Like he he sees two three moves ahead and is so like he schemes up dudes wide open. And so I I’m not worried about it. I think you know the Broncos are going to play the best when you are playing the best. We saw that when we, you know, won seven games in 37 days that had almost never been done in NFL history. We saw it when we went to the Eagles on a short week. We saw it when we beat the Kansas City Chiefs off of their bye-week when they had to have it. And all we hear about is how good the Kool-Aid pitcher, I’m sorry, how good Andy Reid is off of a by-week. And so, you just know Shawn Peyton is going to raise to the level of his competition and we’re making a deep run in the playoffs. I love everything you said. And who said Moose is not being influenced by Ben from Sports Talk Denver? That optimism rubbing off a little bit on me. I’ve got two more super chats that I want to get to. One specifically for both of us, one specifically for Ben. Then we’re going to get into our cut. And I cannot believe what I’m seeing. The man, the myth, the legend. We got another D B for L John Mry. Bang. 100 bucks coming in from our guy John. Sports Illustrated has us losing one of those games left. Is this possible? Funny enough, as we were getting ready to get off and sign off on Ben’s podcast, we talked about the uh the remaining schedule. We talked a little bit about the games the Broncos could afford to lose. I specifically said the Broncos were going to finish the season at 13-4. You can lose the game to the Green Bay Packers. You probably could lose one of the games to the Chiefs, right? Because at Arrowhead, those refs Glazing Mahomes, it’s inevitable that something’s going to happen where we’re like, “Oh, great. The refs are just throwing this game again.” So, I said 13-4. Ben, I’ll toss it over to you. Final receipts. What are you seeing? I think if if the Patriots keep winning out, which their schedule is absolute garbage. They’ve played nobody and yet they think they’re better than us. They’re not. then I think the one seat is going to be theirs. And you could see a world where Shawn Peyton benches our whole all of our starters for that last game against the Chargers. Especially if the Chargers winning would help the Chiefs not make the playoffs, it would just be even better. Uh so I could see that being a loss only because we we bench our starters. The only other game I’m worried about, I think we match up extremely well against the Packers. They don’t scare me. Jaguars are a clown show. Uh, the only other game on there that scares me is obviously Christmas night because I just don’t want it to be ruined by uh Patty Mahomes and all those refs. I’m right there with you. And it I don’t know if you got a chance to watch any of the Colts game. Um, it was just it was like watching every Broncos versus Chiefs game that I’ve ever seen. It’s just nonstop. Mahomes gets this call. Daniel Jones doesn’t get this call. And it was like, is that what we have to look forward to? Is that what we have to look forward to on Christmas night? I certainly hope not, but we’ll see. Last question here. This one’s specifically for Ben, but I’ll chime in on it as well. Young Fege coming in with the $20 super chat. He said, “Ben, I saw your video on VJ talking about Bo John Elway. 10 out of 10 hot take. PS, because it’s true, but I feel like we should secure VJ for a long-term deal before he takes a deal with another team.” #bolle. Thoughts initially, Ben? Yeah. Uh, I am the biggest Vance Joseph fan and I was in a way before I was a content creator was texting my brother and dad like we should not fire him. Vance Joseph was held back from making this team what it could have been by by truly like just a horrendous weird ownership thing be you know after Pat Bolan passed and all that trust and stuff. Uh, I love Vance Joseph. If we could make him the highest paid assistant coach in all of football, I would be all over it. Um and and so I would love to lock him up, but I do think he is built to be a head coach in the NFL and uh I think the NFL is gonna pounce on him. The the one good side of that is is that with the Rooney rule, the Broncos would get two third round compensatory picks and we’ve seen what George Payton and Shawn Peyton do with compensatory picks and they want as many at bats as possible. So that’s a good sign. and uh you know our passing game or what our quarterback coach there is Jim Leonard uh former Denver Bronco uh played safety and then he was a lot of folks uh defensive coordinator pick and so to have him as your quarterback coach you kind of do have a fantastic uh option there if Vance Joseph does leave but man I would love to keep VJ his arms are just so strong have you noticed that Moose they look like mine kind of look I hey listen if if Anybody’s going to be here flexing the biceps, it’s going to be Ben, not me. I have uh neglected my gym duties here for quite some time. Um I’m going to give my quick thoughts on this real quick and then we’re going to jump into our cut, Ben. So after that cut, you’re free to take off for the rest of the night. So Broncos country, stick around. We’re going to get to an episode with Ben, but here’s my quick thoughts on this. I had said in a video maybe two weeks ago, I can’t remember. I think VJ is a prime candidate for a head coaching job. you’re going to have to offer him the moon and the stars if you want to retain his services as a defensive coordinator. Now, maybe VJ out of the goodness of his heart, maybe out of the love for Mile High, maybe he wants to stick around. Maybe he says, “Hey, I have a a great time coaching these group of guys. We have something special going on over here.” But I also know that the man in me, the ultimate competitor in me, if I was in VJ’s shoes, I’m looking at it going, I want one more test. And if it’s not going to be with the Broncos, I’ve got to take my opportunity when it comes along. So unless George Peyton offers him some rid like maybe the highest paid defensive coordinator in the entire league, I don’t know that you’re going to have to retain him. Now, I do like what you said about some potential defensive coordinator um replacements there. I’m not entirely sure that’s not what Broncos fans want to hear right now, so I won’t jump into it as as quickly as I thought. But I will tell you what we got coming up here on our next cut. We’re going to talk Bo. We’re going to talk Shawn. We’re going to talk offense. We’re going to talk defense. And we’re going to talk playoffs. Because I’m telling you, Broncos country, Ben and I are on the same page when it comes to one specific thing. We believe this team is destined for greatness. And the Super Bowl window has just opened. So, stick around. We’re going to jump right in to the cut with Ben from Sports Talk Denver right here on the Broncos Breakdown. Let’s get ready for that short intro here coming in in three, two, one. [Music] Broncos country. The NFL is not ready for this version of the Denver Broncos. Welcome into the Broncos breakdown by Chat Sports. My name is Moose and I’m sure if you’ve clicked in to this episode, you saw the thumbnail with a very special guest that we’ve got here on the channel. Ben from Sports Talk Denver is going to be joining us in just a moment. He offers unbelievable insight to the Denver Broncos. Incredible optimism. Something that everybody’s kind of gotten on my case a little bit. Moose, you can be a little negative surrounding this team. Criticism is the name of my game. I’m very, very aware. I’m very hyperritical of my teams, but I love this team the exact same as Ben does. So, without further ado, we’re going to bring on our guy Ben from Sports Talk Denver in 3 2 1. Ben, what’s going on, brother? It’s good to see you. Let’s go. Deep playoff run in six weeks. Let’s go. Oh, dude, I’m so excited for it. So, I’ve got an interesting little uh show prepped for us today. a couple of talking points that I kind of want to hit on specifically about Bon Knicks. I know you’re a massive bow lever. We’re going to talk a little bit about Shawn Payeyton. We’re going to talk about the defense. And then ultimately, we’re going to talk about this young core of players, the playoffs, and that $50 million in cap space currently that the Denver Broncos have in 2026. Here’s what I’m going to start with. We’ll go with the defense first. The best pass rush in the NFL. I don’t think it’s much of a debate at this point. We know what we’ve got. We’ve seen the talent. We’ve seen what Vance Joseph has been able to cook up. What have you seen specifically from this young core group of pass rushers and what they’ve been able to accomplish in 2025? Just probably the most unselfish group on the entire team. Well, and this entire team is unselfish team first guys, not me first, guys. But you heard Vance Joseph make the podcast rounds. Uh, and he came out and talked just specifically about Nick Bonito, how if if he truly wanted to could do what Miles Garrett is doing and and be all about sacks, that he easily would have at least double the number of sacks he has, but that he he utilizes this cage rush strategy where he presses the pocket but does not allow that quarterback to sneak out. And we’ve seen time and time again where you have an edge rusher, uh, the quarterback breaks contain and and is off to the races. And yet we’ve played Patty Mahomes, we’ve played Jaylen Herz, we’ve played Herbert, we’ve we’ve played all these mobile quarterbacks who could not do that. And so you just see guys uh and then NFL films had miked up Nick Bonito. And he was talking I think it was um to Q Robinson and he was like, “Hey, on this next play, I’m going to set you up for this.” And Vance Joseph was like, “No, no, like let’s let’s just you get him.” And it’s just an unselfish group where you can get it from anywhere. I think we have the best edge rushing tandem in the league with Cooper and Bonito. And then you’re talking uh Sack Allen in the middle, John Franklin Myers. We just got waves, platoon of dudes. You got Jonah Ellis coming back from that hamstring issue is issue. He had five sacks last year as a rookie. Uh Dandre Tilman, you just steal him out of the UDFA. Like this, it’s such a deep unit. It’s wild. I I’m right there with you. And I’m going to stick on that Jonathan Cooper and Nick Bonito case right now. Did you know that they have the fastest getoff time of any two combo pass rushers in the entire NFL? So, it’s not just strength that we’re seeing from the likes of Bonito and Cooper. It’s the speed off the edges as well. And I’ve noticed now that teams are starting to take notice of Nick Bonito. If we’re going to focus on him a little bit, Bonito has been getting chipped a lot more, doubleteamed with a tight end. They’re making sure that he does not get to the quarterbacks. And I don’t know if you watch the game against the Chiefs, every single play they had the Chiefs offensive lineman’s holding him and just ripping that jersey over and over again. So I’m looking at Nick Bonino and I’ I’ve got to say that this is one of the best upandcoming defensive players maybe that I’ve ever seen. I mean, to start with the Broncos just a couple of years ago to where he’s at now, I don’t think I would have predicted what he was going to turn out to be. and I think his best days are only in front of him. So, I’m big locked on with Nick Bonito, but I also know that you can’t ignore players like Zack Allen. You can’t ignore players like Jonathan Cooper or Jonah Ellis and Dandre Tilman coming from the UFFL, incredible stuff. So, this defense to me, this pass rush, outstanding. Best I’ve seen in a long, long time. And you can’t even forget some of the free agents that we’ve brought in. Talenoa Hofunga can jump in and blitz. Dre Greenlaw can be a pressure player. Same with Alex Singleton. I thought Justin Stronad has been unbelievable this year. Everywhere the Broncos turn, we’ve seen non-stop productivity from every single player. They’ve bought into the system. They’ve bought into their roles and it’s just about maximizing every single play. So, I’m on board with what Vance Joseph has done. I can’t wait to see the back half of the season. I’m going to flip it over to the offensive side of the football now, Ben, because there is one thing that your fans specifically know about you. You are a Bolever. So, I’ll throw it over to you. Let’s talk Bo Knicks really quick. The development since his rookie year. What have you seen specifically that makes you believe Bo Knicks is going to be around mile high for the next eight plus years? Yeah, you just look at at his his fourth quarter production speaks for itself. Like, are you ever actually worried that he’s not going to get it done? And people have this different grading scale when they grade Bo Knicks than when they grade any other quarterback in football. Josh Allen just looked pitiful against the Houston Texans and gets a a pass for that week because they’re like, “Well, it’s a a great pass rush.” It’s like you don’t give that same credit to Bo Nicks and he he has gone up against tough defenses and he and he makes it work despite the fact that the Broncos are one of the most penalized teams and so you were putting him in third and seven third to third and 12 way too often. I think the the Broncos average third down is third and 7.5 there. We saw what Patrick Mahomes does in third and seven against our defense and it didn’t look good. Uh, and then he’s also second most dropped quarterback. So, his his wide receivers have not been helping him out. And I think we have just started to see the floor of what Bonenix could be. And you don’t need to take my word for it. Listen to Dan Orlovski. Listen to Drew Brees when he had Bonix to his house for a whole week uh over the summer. Listen to Shawn Peyton and and what he he calls Diana Rousini this offseason and says, “We found our queue.” Uh, we have our franchise quarterback and it is going to be the funnest decade having Bon Knicks and Shawn Payeyton together. So, I I have been notably a little bit harsher on Bon Knicks than you have. But I will give you one full bit of credit, something that I’ve also been echoing every single week. This kid’s got the clutch, Gene. You can’t take it away from him. He and Caleb Williams only quarterbacks this year with five fourth quarter comebacks this football season. There’s just something about the fortitude, the temperament of Bo Knicks. When that time gets to be crunch time, that time where he needs to perform, he always does when the lights are the brightest. And the numbers, I’m tired of hearing NFL talking heads, ESPN members. I’m tired of hearing them slander this kid’s name saying, “Ah, it doesn’t look like a good product from quarters 1 to three.” Well, I’ll tell you this. If Bo Knicks is what we call in the quote unquote sophomore slump, and I don’t even think that’s an accurate depiction, this is probably the best sophomore slump we’ve ever seen because the kid just continues to win nonstop. The one area that I will say I want Bo to get a little bit better in. He’s got to make sure his feet get set a little bit more in the pocket. That I’ve noticed he gets a little jumpy when that pressure comes and he’s flushed out of the side of the pocket when he doesn’t want to. He kind of dirts that ball away, gets a little bit panicky. It just doesn’t quite look as smooth at times as I would like operationally, but then everything kind of relaxes and then he shuts me up. And I’m like, well, I can’t be too critical on Bo because in the fourth quarter, he just scored four touchdowns against the New York Football Giants, scored 33 points in the fourth and won the game. So, there’s not much that I can criticize about the guy. And remember, he’s still young. What is he now in start 28? If you look at the numbers that he’s got compared to Josh Allen through Josh Allen’s first 30 starts, Bo beats him in every statistical category. And that’s a testament to Shawn Payeyton. That’s a testament to Bo’s brain. That’s a testament to his intangibles. So, we could argue back and forth all day long about what Bo Nicks needs to do. But one thing that he continues to show that he already does is win. And quarterback stats might not include wins. They do to me. So, I’m gonna take the guy that continues to win football games over the likes of a really talented young quarterback that can’t win football games. So, I mean, and believe it or not, Go ahead. Go ahead. Look, look at Taleno Hufanga saying why he chose the Broncos. He said the quarterback position. Look at Evan Ingram who flew to Denver and then also went and watched Justin Herbert tape with Harbaugh and he picked Bo Knicks. Okay, JK Dobbins telling you in English and Spanish, Bull Knicks espeial, you know, like he his teammates love him and Caleb Williams might have more of a cannon or be a better athlete, but like the the affect on a team, you will not find a better culture fit who raises all tides than than Bicks. I’m right there with you. And really quick before we jump into our next uh topic here, which is going to be a little bit more about Shawn Payeyton um and the play calling, here’s that little graphic that I was talking to you about. Take a look at this. This is Bon Knicks’s first 28 starts mystery quarterback since 2024. So this is not Josh Allen, by the way. Ben, I’m going to throw this up to you. Who do you think this mystery quarterback is? Now, this quarterback was drafted well before Bo was. This was going back to the late 201. So like 2017 through 2019. This is since though 2024, the moment that Bon Knicks got drafted. So same amount of games. This quarterback. Who do you think that is? Definitely not Paxton Lynch. I’m going Patrick Mahomes. Wow. Clairvoyance. Look at that. Absolutely correct. 100%. Notice something here. This is the media darling, Ben. This is everybody. This is the goat. People are telling me the goat. It’s Pat Mahomes. Three Super Bowls. Well, I I noticed something here. Uh Bon Knicks’s numbers outside of the interceptions pretty much better. I mean, the yards, okay, Patrick’s got 300 more yards. Bo’s got more rushing touchdowns. He got more rushing yards. He’s got more throwing touchdowns. So, tell me again why one of these quarterbacks is everybody’s favorite player and the other one can’t play football through quarters one through three. It just doesn’t look right. It’s crazy to me. And if you’re going to keep the exact same energy about Bo Knicks, that’s fine. But you have to acknowledge that Patrick Mahomes is not nearly as good as everybody makes him out to be because those numbers do not lie. Bo Nicks and Patrick Mahomes very similar statistically speaking, maybe not stylistically speaking, but statistically speaking, you cannot discredit what Bon Knicks has done. A and I think like obviously the NFL has caught up to what Patrick Mahomes is doing and that that sounds like a homer take but turn on the games and you’ll just see he he hasn’t had those league those years where he’s throwing 50 touchdowns and I don’t think you’ll catch up to Bo Nicks because he just runs the scheme that Shawn Payeyton sets up for him like everyone you know Fangio broke Patrick Mahomes and he hasn’t been the same since they’ve developed defenses to stop him. I don’t think you can stop O Knicks. I truly don’t. And I think Patrick Mahomes is a better pure athlete, but Bon Knicks is a supercomputer who will run Shawn Payeyton system. And there have been some slow points, but Shawn Payton’s system is like the entire Harry Potter like books together. And so, yeah, it takes some time to to get into it, but dude, that graphic makes me hyped up. I’m ripping off this shirt. Let’s bow. Let’s bow, baby. All right, so two more talking points that I want to get to before we take on off out of here with you, Ben. And again, I do want to appreciate and say thank you for uh coming on the show. I know the fans have been clamoring for you to get on here. They love you. You’re a voice of the people. And uh hey, may maybe I’m the the guy that gets a little bit too harsh and a little too critical, but maybe a little optimism rubbing off on the old moose man is just what I needed. Uh real quickly, let’s talk Shawn Payeyton. Let’s talk play calling. A lot of fans have been very critical about Shawn Peyton’s play calling. A lot of fans have gone out and said there’s too many passes behind the line of scrimmage. We’ve shied away from the run game at some point only to come back to it in the second half and absolutely dominate it. What do you think Shawn Payeyton does? And and I’ve got a theory on this, but I’m interested to hear what you have to say about it. I I I want to know where do you see Shawn Peyton’s play calling and what has been kind of the reason that you think fans have gotten so up in arms about the lack of down the field throwing? Yeah, I I think Sean truly puts stuff on tape and is is playing the long game. He told us at the start of the season that this is one of the six or seven teams he’s had that can make a Super Bowl. So, I I really think he is setting up things and putting things on tape for teams three weeks from now that we’re going to play to see. And um you know, I think there probably is also a propensity there that he wanted to show off his um the fact that he robbed the NFL and tricked them all to go get JJ McCarthy when he he had the love of his life and Bo Knicks. And so, there’s that that idea that he really wants to take that car for a spin. And so sometimes uh he doesn’t allow the run game to set up the pass where where we’ve seen Bo just absolutely tear it up. Uh but I I think Sean’s best play calling days are are going to happen over these next what is it 13 weeks until we’re in the Super Bowl. No, I’m I’m right there with you and I’m going to briefly touch on this for like I said what I believe to be true. Bill Bellichic back in the Brady days was known for this. He would not take quarters off, but he almost became hypervigilant during the first quarter of football games. He would watch what other teams did. He would watch the schemes that they had and then adjust accordingly. He had trusted his team enough, his defense enough, Tom Brady enough to go out there and keep the game manageable maybe in the first quarter through the second quarter and then the second half, that’s when we turn it on. And that’s something that I’ve seen from Shawn. He might not start the game perfectly, but there is not one singular coach, and this and also includes Andy Reid. There’s not one coach that I believe is a better second half adjustments coach than Shawn Payeyton is in the NFL right now. There’s no doubt about it. So, watching what he does in the first quarter, yes, from an aesthetics point of view, from a fan point of view, it can be very frustrating. But I also look at Shawn Peyton and I say if you keep the game within seven points going into the second half, I got full faith that the Broncos are going to come out and score 141 17 unanswered points, take that lead, and then have that defense shut it down. So, I’m looking at it like play the long game just like you said, but do it sporadically throughout the game. And I think that’s where Shawn Payton’s genius really shines. Totally. All right, let’s get into this last question. And we’re going to talk playoffs because I know everybody’s wondering. Okay, Ben Moose, what do you see down the stretch? We’ve got what how many games left? Seven. Seven. Six games left. Even better. We got the playoff picture right here. We’ll show you real quick. Ben, this is what it looks like currently. If the playoffs started today, you got the Patriots in the one, Broncos in the two, Colts, Ravens, Chargers, Jags, Bills. Which means if the playoffs started tomorrow, we get a rematch. Broncos, Bills. Who do you want to see in the first round? Where do you see the Broncos going? I’ll toss the floor over to you. Uh, I would love a shot at the Indianapolis Colts again. uh especially if that’s playing them uh at home later in the season. I I feel like we’re starting to see the true colors of who Daniel Jones is and the Broncos won that game. I was literally at that game when the Indianapolis Colts scoreboard showed Denver Broncos win and then a leverage call, which you could call every single play, every single field goal block attempt in NFL history. So, I I’d love a shot at the Colts again. Uh truly the only team in the the playoffs that tr that scare me would be playing the Houston Texans again. That defense is absolutely nasty. I want no part of of that defense again. That that actually was a scarier game for me than than playing the Kansas City Chiefs. If we beat the Chiefs on Christmas Day, it is extremely hard in NFL history to pe to beat a team three times in one season. and we’ve experienced that as Broncos team as Broncos fans where we’ve beat a team twice in the regular season and struggled with them in the playoffs. So, uh, if we lose to them on Christmas Day, give me the Chiefs in the playoffs. How about you, man? Who Who do you want? So, notably right now, I would love to play the Steelers. Uh, and that’s because I think we have the best chance to beat the Steelers. I think they’re the weakest team at the top of their division. I don’t even know if they’re at the top of their division anymore. I think we just saw that the Ravens are now at the top of that division. Um, but look, to your point, the ultimate competitor in me wants the Colts. We want the Chiefs. We want the Chargers. And hell, even the Bills as a as a chance to get our revenge. But I’m looking at the number one overall seed right now as the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. I know there’s a lot of people out there, and I’ll give credit to Boss Man Jay for putting me on this just about two hours ago. There’s a lot of people out there that say that the number one overall seed is incredibly overrated. And I could not disagree more. The Broncos are the best team in the NFL at home. Undefeated. The only other team that’s undefeated at home, the Indianapolis Colts. I think if you got every single game at mile high with the weather, potentially a snow game, there is not a team that could come in there against our defense and put up more than 10 points. Chiefs be damned. Colts be damned. One second. I was trying so hard, Reed. I was trying so hard. Uh, back to my point, though. Um, I I would like to play the Jags. I think they’re an easier opponent. I would like to play the Steelers. I think they’re an easier opponent. The one team I don’t want to play, I’ll echo right alongside of you. It’s the Houston Texans. Denil Hunter, Will Anderson Jr., Reggie Bullock, Derek Stingley Jr., I think that’s a nightmare matchup for anybody. And CJ Stout isn’t even healthy yet. That’s the scary part is that he’s gonna come back. They’re going to continue to win football games. And if you see them as that seven seed, the one seed becomes even more important than it already is. So, right now, I’m right with you. I think I’m not looking at that that Houston Texans team. I want them clearer and far away. But, it should be interesting seeing what the uh Denver Broncos have in store for us down the remainder of the schedule. All right, that is going to do it for us on today’s episode. Ben, one more time, give me a quick plug. Where can they find you? Uh, Sports Talk Denver on YouTube. We got a ton to believe in. I’m sorry. God, one sec. We’ll cut this out. Sorry, Ben. We’ll cut this out. Ben, if you wanna just continue plugging, I know you got you got your Twitter at Sports Talk Denver, correct? Have you got any uh anything you want to show the uh the Broncos breakdown viewers? Anything, you know, behind you? Anything that that you want need to uh let everyone know about? Uh are we uh on YouTube right now live still? Yeah, we’re still live. Sick, dude. I didn’t would have been way more nervous. I think I just kept telling the truth. I got to nail this last shot cuz I always end my videos. I make every shot. I’m like 100% because we have so much to do. but leaving. Ah. Oh, it it just No, it was it was good. It’s the angle. All right, Broncos country. Uh Ben from Sports Talk Denver. Definitely a pleasure to have you on. You’re welcome anytime, my friend. If you wanted to come in and do a watch party with us, see a game or anything, we’d love to have you back on. As always, Broncos country, a mile high salute to you guys. Be cool. All right. Sweet. Ben, thank you so much. We’re Yeah, that was a lot of fun. Say goodbye to uh the fans. We still got 225 people rocking with us in the building wanting to see exactly uh you know, this type of content. We loved it. Reed, thank you so much for making that as fun as it was. Uh fans, any last questions for Ben before he gets on out of here? Moose, you’d said you were going to pop the top and go shirtless. Is that now or in a little bit? Hey man, uh we might be getting a little cray cray here in a little bit. We got a lot of sweet we got a lot of stuff that we got to take care of after this, but uh you might see a shirtless moose pretty soon. All right. Well, hop upstairs and watch. Uh so, Broncos country before he takes off. I’m going to continue on with the show. We’ve got two other cuts that we got to get to, including another Broncos mailbag. So, if you want to continue to get your questions in, whether it’s about Ben, we’ll talk a lot of behind his back. I’m just playing. Uh but if you want to Uh, if you want to get your questions in, we’ll do a mailbag for you guys. We’re also going to talk a little bit about Von Miller potentially coming back next year after what we just heard about him potentially coming back earlier this year. So, uh, yeah. Uh, we’re going to continue on. We’ll have about another 30 minutes of the show. We’ll get on out of here and let you enjoy the rest of your Tuesday night. All right. Much love. See you, Broncos. See you, brother. Take it easy. And thanks again. What a great guy. What a great guy. What do you guys think? Huh? What do you guys think? Awesome. Do you guys enjoy that? You want to see it more? What did you guys think? Let me know in the comments section here as I wipe the sweat from my face. Good god. Moose. I’m like a puddle of sweat over here. You know what? I’m going to turn on the Ah, there’s no there’s nothing over there. Um, it Yeah, it’s Don’t worry about it. It’s fine. I’ll be okay. I’ll just stand the heat. You guys like that? You guys thought that was fun? Dude, I thought that was great stuff. He’s a great dude. He really is. He really is a great guy. Yeah, I know. It’s right here, but I’m saying where do we we plug it in? Do we just Oh, right here. Duh. I’m stupid. Here, just hand that to me. I got it. Thank you. One second. We’re going to get to our next cut here in just a moment. This is only 8:30. 208 people still rocking with us, man. Ben’s a Ben’s a legend, man. I would love to have him in on his watch party. I I would I could think honestly having him in on a watch party would be I don’t know what the logistics look like of it, but I would love to have it. I think it would be awesome. Absolutely outstanding to have that guy on. He loves the Denver Broncos just like we do here. It’s a It’s a lot of fun stuff, man. He really is cool. And what’s funny enough is that he built that show from the ground up. That’s all him. I didn’t even I can’t even claim that. Now we need a Ben Pera and Moose. A three. Watch. God, that would be unbel Do you know the amount of views that that would pull in? Holy cow. for Sunday Night Football. Peyton, I don’t know if that’s a possibility, but maybe maybe that week 18 if the Broncos are resting their starters, maybe we do. You know, I don’t know about a a game that like doesn’t really matter. Yeah, exactly. That’s what I’m And here’s And that’s not a shot at at him. That’s not us. By the way, hi. Hi, everybody. Yeah. Yeah. Reed says hello. Reed was Reed, by the way. Everybody get Reed going his name going in the chat. He was awesome. um made sure that everything graphically speaking looked as good as it did. That was great stuff, man. I I I just had a blast doing that. I thought that was awesome. Um yeah, but yeah, back to the the original point before we start this uh Von Miller almost came back segment. I I think it’s not a shot at Ben to say, “Hey, in a game that doesn’t matter, but I think making sure that like it’s not one of those games where we have to be locked in, right? If the Broncos are 14-2 going into the game against the Chargers and we don’t we’re locked up with the number one seed, then maybe we do it. Maybe we just bring him in and we just say, “Hey, sit around with us for three hours and let’s talk. Let’s talk ball.” Maybe uh depending on what it is. Depending on what it is. Uh I know we have the couch in a but yeah, that would mean borrowing a different studio. What if we did this? What if we could we invite him to the studio and just have him sit in with us at that couch and just watch the game together? Is that what you were saying? That’s That’s literally word for word what I was saying. But we’d have to borrow studio. Yeah. No, you’re right. Which is not our studio. Yeah, he’s an awesome dude. I I’m I’m really happy about uh about watching um and doing this this entire thing by take two. Good lord. What was that? Words didn’t come out of my throat there. I know. It’s okay. I I was trying so hard to fight it. I know. I know. Um I was going to say something. Um what is it? What was I saying? I I lost my train of thought. Uh what I was Yeah, I I don’t know. I don’t know what I was thinking. No, it wasn’t about Studio A. I was going to No. Either way, I all I have to say is Oh, that’s what I was going to say. If Yeah, I did a a preview, not a preview, an interview with Ben um on his channel as well. So, you will see Moose’s face on Sports Talk Denver here. I don’t know when. He didn’t tell me when that was going to go out, but I’m certainly certain it’s coming out in the next couple of days. So, make sure you check out Sports Talk Denver uh for a Moose uh appearance as well. So, it’s not just the Broncos breakdown that he came on. He definitely is uh getting his his cuts as well. So, make sure you subscribe to Sports Talk Denver. Hit subscribe for the Broncos breakdown. Had a lot of fun doing this. It’s going to be great. Let’s jump into a couple more super chats. We’ll start our next segment and then uh we’ll get into our mailbag and we’ll get on out of here. Nutrino, what up, brother? Keep the offensive line intact. I’m with you. The Luke Watenberg signature uh the inked p the inked deal. What is it? 4 years. Um, I don’t know what it is. Four years. What? I thought it was 48 million. Did I see four years? 48 million. Anybody know what that is? Let me know in the comments section or the the live chat if what that deal was. Maybe I can uh What’s up on what? Oh, yeah. Yeah. Um, how about this? Yeah, I know. I’m going to have to get that out. Okay. Yeah, let’s do that after. Let’s get our cuts done. We’ll do a quick fast track of that and then we’ll that’ll be something I push out quicker. All right. Let’s do this. Yeah, I’m with you though. Keep the offensive line intact. Watenberg’s extension. Awesome. Awesome. Broncos always number one. Shout out to you, my friend. Absolutely. Couldn’t agree more. Cool. All right. Thanks for your super chats. I greatly appreciate it. Let’s talk Von Miller who almost came back. We’ll jump into our mailbag and we’ll let you get on with your night. Thank you guys so much for joining us. I do realize that it’s getting later. It’s almost 9:00 here in Dallas, but uh Broncos content never sleeps. Never sleeps. All right, let’s talk Vonnie Boy. He almost came back, had a conversation with George Payeyton and said, uh, essentially, what’s it going to take to get me back? And George said, I don’t know if there’s room for you right now on this roster, but that doesn’t mean that Von Miller won’t retire a Denver Bronco. I do believe that there is a chance that he does. All right, Reed, I’m ready whenever you are, my friend. Let’s rock and roll. Oh, that’s cool. That’s fine. Yep. Broncos country on this episode of the Broncos breakdown by Chat Sports. Welcome in by the way. My name is Moose. We’re going to talk Von Miller and how he almost came back to Mile High. At the very back end of this episode, we’re going to talk about the team that we face this coming Sunday, who he happens to play for, the Washington Commanders. Give you a little preview about what they look like offensively and defensively speaking. But let’s focus on Vaughan really quick. Mile High was his home when he got drafted. And then he reached back out to George Payton and he said, “What’s it going to take to get this back together?” And George Payton essentially told him, “Look, we’ve got players that are younger that are playing special teams. I just don’t know if this is the right fit right now considering what we’re building here with Vance Joseph and this unbelievable defense.” I want to start off by saying this. I understand why George Payton didn’t say yes. We don’t have to look at this as a shot at Vaughn. We don’t have to look at this as they don’t want Van to come back and retire as a Bronco. This is strictly a decision for business. The Broncos have Nick Bonito. They have Jonathan Cooper, Jonah Ellis, Dandre Tilman, and a bunch of other defensive linemen that can also get after the quarterback at a furious rate. But Von Miller was in an interview. He was asked specifically about the offseason plan and here’s specifically what he had to say. I did reach out to the Denver Broncos. I tried to be uh on the Denver Broncos as well, but it was just a short conversation with me and George Payton. Peyton explained to Miller that Denver had Jonah Ellis, Dandre Tilman behind starters Nick Bonito, and Jonathan Cooper on the edge. Ellis and Tilman both totaled five sacks as rotational pass rushers in 2024, and they both contribute on special teams. Miller acknowledged that he’s not going to contribute in the kicking game at this stage of his career. Okay, so again, like I was saying, Von Miller is one of those players that would I love to have him back and retire as a Denver Bronco? Of course I would. Was it the right fit at this time? Of course it wasn’t. And that’s okay. We can have two things coexisting at the exact same time. I also believe that Von Miller can retire as a Denver Bronco, but like George Payton said, you’ve got two players that are great rotational players right this moment and they play special teams. And that’s something that Von Miller can’t do at this stage of his career. He admitted it. So, if you were to bring Vaughn on, it would strictly be as a pass rusher, as a rotational pass rusher, and more of a player coach style. He’s got incredible wisdom. He’s a Broncos legend and the numbers kind of back that up. 511 tackles, 142 tackles for loss, 110 sacks with 25 force fumbles as a Denver Br. You’re right. 110 and a half. That’s my bad. I got to give credit where credit is due. The half a sack definitely counts. But Vaughn is always going to be beloved by Broncos country. He’s always going to have a spot in the Ring of Fame when he fully retires. There is no doubt in my mind that he is one of the greatest Denver Broncos to ever lace him up. And get this, he’s still kind of playing at a pretty decent level. Like I I was shocked to see these numbers so far in 2025. Dude’s got 13 tackles, three for loss, five sacks, nine quarterback hits with a PFF grade of 59.2. For what they call a quote unquote old man, he’s still rocking and rolling and putting up solid numbers, respectable numbers. So, here’s my take. I think you should sign Von Miller to the vet minimum next year. Bring him home. He wants to retire a Bronco. Broncos fans want him to retire a Bronco. And you know what? You don’t even have to play him as much as you want or as much as he would want. Put him on as a player coach role. Bring him in on specific packages. He can be a locker room voice, a mentor to Nick Bonito, a mentor to Jonathan Cooper and these young rotational pass rushers. I think it would be exceptional to bring him on next year considering the Broncos currently have $50 million in available cap space and that might go up. So, I’ll throw it over to you. Would you sign Von Miller next season? Type S for sign. Type your P for pass. We’re going to get into that here in just a moment. The back half of this episode talking about the Washington Commanders. But first, a word from our sponsor. Dude, I I Oh, God. Sorry. I know. I know. I gota I also got to open up my uh Oh my goodness. I don’t know if this is my little peek behind the curtain. Um, whenever, uh, Moose has to cough, uh, we just kind of take a pause in the in the in the show and, uh, so you kind of get to see what happens. He he he needed a little bit of a break. I know. Sorry. Yeah. Uh, we’re going to get into the sponsor read here in just a second, guys. I apologize. Um, I I I’m still kind of a little sick. Uh, funny enough, I said that in my episode yesterday. I’m still kind of getting over it. I’ve been really good without the coughs today until Ben comes on and then I start coughing. Of course it is. Of course it is. It was funny. Uh BI goes, “We don’t see the sponsor.” All right, that should be good. All right, here we go. Today’s show is sponsored by a brand new sponsor. We here have Take two. Take two. Take two. Today’s show is sponsored by a brand new sponsor that we’ve got here on the Broncos Breakdown, and that’s our friends over at Cash App. Look, I’ve currently been dealing with this unbelievable scam during the holiday season. Uh, Vaughn is now a part of the Washington Commander defense and the Denver Broncos travel to the nation’s capital to take them on in week 13. I think on paper every single Broncos fan would agree the Broncos are better. Period. Point blank. Does that mean you could take this week off? No. Does that mean you can take Marcus Mariota for granted because it doesn’t look like Jaden Daniels is going to play? No. You got to have your strong game plan offensively and defensively. The weather is also causing calling for like winter vortex like weather. So, you’re going to get winds swirling. You’re going to get freezing rain. It’s going to be really, really tough. So, do yourself a favor, Shawn Peyton. Do yourself a favor, Boon Knicks. Get ready to run the football. And that’s where I think we have to acknowledge that RJ Harvey, Jal Mclofflin, Tyler Bedet are going to be called upon in a big way this coming Sunday Night Football game. Ian Raport also kind of echoed that Jane Daniels was evaluated by the Washington Commander staff. Sources are saying that it’s a long shot for him to play, so they’re not going to rule it out. But I think everybody knows that doubtful means most likely not going to play. In fact, I if I had to put a percentage on it, I’d say 95% likely that Jaden Daniels will not play. And let’s be completely honest, Jaden Daniels is kind of the heart and soul. He’s the pump and blood of that offense because without him, yikes, there’s a lot of bad stuff here. points per game, 23rd. Yards per game, 17th. Yards per play, they’re actually not terrible. They’re 10th. EPA per play is 13th. So, they do some things really well, but they’re not good on third down. They turn the ball over way too much, and they just don’t find the end zone nearly as much as they should. The Broncos have the opportunity here to really make a statement against Marcus Mariota. Limit him to less than 13 points, I think you win this football game pretty handedly. And believe it or not, they’ve been testing out some new defenses. They’re going with this new dime defense that uh Dan Quinn’s been rolling out over there. This isn’t scary. It’s not a scary defense. Vaughn is probably your best pass rusher and everybody else is just kind of eh, you know what I mean? Like there’s nothing absolutely, you know, groundbreaking about this defense. In fact, you’ve seen a lot of teams get after him a little bit. So, I think if the weather kind of does favor you at the very end of the football game, you can start to air it out a little bit more. The Broncos should have no problem taking on this Washington Commanders team. They’re a better team through and through. Offensively, they’re better. Defensively, they’re better. It just has to come all together on Sunday Night Football for the Broncos to come through and absolutely destroy this team. No, Jaden Daniels means Marcus Mariota. Yikes. His passer rating isn’t that bad, but everything else is kind of 65% completion percentage, okay? Yards, not great. Touchdown interception ratio is bad. So, nobody’s scared about Marcus Mariota. I’ve only really highlighted three keys to victory, too, by the way, because there’s not so much to break down in this football game. The first step is don’t come out sluggish. You’ve been off now. You had your bye-week. You’re playing on Sunday Night Football. You’ve had a lot of rest. You have to come out on the right foot. You cannot take anybody for granted. If you come out sleepwalking through the first quarter and a half and they get out to a 10 to 13 to nothing lead, it might be too hard to get back into the game considering what the weather conditions are going to look like. So, you have to come out aggressive, punch him in the mouth offensively and defensively. Step two, speaking of punching in the mouth, punish Marcus Mariota with the blitz. You go blitz heavy against Marcus Mariota, he’s not nearly as mobile as he was when he came out. He’s a little bit older, a little bit heavier, a little bit more heavy-footed. You can absolutely attack him inside of the pocket. Now, that being said, he can still out and make plays with his legs any given Sunday, but I think if you blitz him well enough, if you pinch those edges, you keep a quarterback spy on him, you’ll be just fine. Step number three and the final step, if you are going to throw the ball, move the pocket consistently with Bo. I think this is something that the Broncos did really well against the Chiefs. Get Bo rolling. Get him out on play action. Let him move the pocket. Don’t just let him sit there and try to go through each one of his progressions. You will get crushed. So, let him move outside. Let him roll a little bit. Let him plant his foot. Survey the field. Make an accurate over the middle field uh or over the middle of the field throw, excuse me, uh like we saw against the Chiefs. That’s why I’m typing my deen’s final score prediction for Moose. 24-10. I’ll say I think it’s lower scoring considering the weather. I’m typing my deen’s every single day. Let me know in the comments section or in the live chat right now down below. That’s going to do it for us on this episode of the Broncos Breakdown. A mile high salute to you, my friends. Subscribe to the channel, like the video, and as always, be cool. Bingo, bango, bango. Is my Am I not like updated on our live stream? Oh, there we go. Okay, we’re good. All right. Well, I’ll answer some questions here. Let’s uh get get uh let’s talk a little bit more about Ben. What do you guys think? Um would you like to see more content like that in the future? Would you like to see us do some watch parties? Maybe a little bit more live show stuff with Ben. I’ll try to get a hold of Pera. Uh he’s a little bit harder to reach considering he’s 811,000 subscriber guy now. Um but Ben has been an excellent uh friend of the show. Great Broncos content creator. I’m loving what I see from him, man. It’s really good stuff. What do you guys think? Where did I get the shirt moose from? Irish 88. This is from Broncos Unchained, Mr. Boss Man Jay. He has uh very kindly hooked me up with some cool Moose merch for the Broncos. But uh I’m super excited to uh to wear this type of stuff, man. He’s a really good friend and big supporter of me and that and that’s always great and I love to see that. It’s really I’m really really appreciative of it. Awesome show tonight, says Mark. Mark, I’m so glad that you enjoyed it, man. I I I thought this was going to be one of the more fun shows that we’ve done here in uh on the uh the channel because man, it’s just great to have like great minds that think alike, you know what I mean? Still signing a wide receiver. Sticky gloves. I’m going to say no. Brandon Cooks would have been the guy that I would have signed. He signed with the Bills. I’m not I’m not in I think we’ve got a good group right now. I think we got a good group. 2716 Brona Kakas Bronco Coca-C Yeah. Yeah, that’s fine. Well, hold on. Well, can we uh I’m thinking I’m thinking about maybe we just make this the cut and the second half mailbag. Yeah. Yeah. All right, that sounds good. Pivot. We’re pivoting here. Watching Ben’s channel is like watching one of us at an Everyday Fan Net Studio type of channel, if that makes any sense. Yeah. No, I get it. Um he’s got the at home setup down to a tea. This is a little bit more studio type of setup, but uh I I I think Ben had a lot of fun on here tonight, man. He’s so complimentary of the show, and I I greatly appreciate that. I’m very complimentary of his work. I think he’s got a bright future in this business, man. I really do. Fireball says, “I missed your interaction with Ben.” We have a cut. So, we have an episode that we’re going to put out. Uh, I’ll most likely put that out either tomorrow. Yeah, he could rewind. This is during our live show. Um, I’ll probably put it out tomorrow or on Friday. I have not decided yet, but uh, you’ll be you guys will be the first to know. Moose, will you be covering the NFL draft in 2026? Hell yes, dude. Hell yes. That’s one of our favorite things to do here on the Broncos breakdown. Uh and our chat sports was founded upon uh the NFL draft. That is our Super Bowl. That is what we on the line indeed. On the line indeed. Yeah, Irish. We’re gonna we’re gonna absolutely go nuts with it. Thank you for saying that, though. I greatly appreciate it. God, I love doing that type of stuff. Maybe we’ll have people I hope I can get Pera on for the the draft. I think that’d be awesome instead of him and Gracie. Graci is a Packers fan. Get him on the Broncos breakdown. Come on, man. I need it. I need it. I need it 100%. Sticky gloves. RB power uh power running back options for the remainder of the season. Jamal Williams, I don’t want to hear another word about it. That dude’s a beast. Yeah, I know. He’s going to go with Pera. Yeah, if we got Graci and Pera, oh my god, this channel would blow up. Literally agree. You guys have been awesome tonight. Thanks for sticking around, man. You guys are great. Goodness gracious, Trace. Like I told you guys, I’m still getting over being sick a little bit. Uh I woke up um Sunday morning to the the week 12 Broncos by week and I was not feeling well. I had a sore throat. I had a stuffy nose and I’m like, “Oh boy.” And I lost my um I lost my taste and smell for like I want to say like six hours and then it came back. So thank god it isn’t co but uh yeah Jamal Williams for sure. But I’m feeling better now. I still got this lingering cough though which you saw today. Go get Gracie and Pera during Broncos versus Packers, dude. Dude, that would be so cool. That’d have a lot of fun. All right, so here’s what we’re going to do. We’re pivoting here. We’re going to do this cut’s going to go out tonight. First half, we’re going to talk the Luke Watenberg extension. Second half, we’re going to take some questions in the mailbag. And that’s perfect, Reed, because we can lead right in with that question. Uh, we can go from the Luke Watenberg extension to who are the other guys that you would want to extend? Yeah. So, we go from the question about so like the hashtag Broncos Luke Watenberg signed Who were some other other Broncos? Yes, exactly. And then I’ll start on when we’re done with that, I’ll start on copy and thumbnail for that and we’ll uh push that video out um pretty much ASAP. Wow, what a fun night. What a fun night, guys. I I had a blast with him. He’s great. He’s a great dude. Where’s my phone? Did I put my phone down? I did. Let’s see what we got people saying here. Lamar Jackson. Lamar. Lamar Jackson. Yeah, it was a really fun really fun show. We’re going to do one more cut here in just a moment and then we’ll get you guys out with your uh the rest of your night. Great stuff. Let’s take a look at some stuff here while we wait. Thanks for sticking around by the way, guys. Appreciate it. Do you believe the Broncos can break the all-time sack record? Yes, absolutely. They should. What are they at? 49 right now. 49. The all-time record is 72. So, they’ve got to get 23 more sacks to break it. 23 in six games. You got to average basically four sacks a game. They can absolutely do it. Yeah, I’m ready. Um, let me read real quick about the uh the Luke Watenberg extension real fast. Let me grab some basic notes here. That’s I need to know. Can we do we know what the the numbers on this are? $12 million on his new extension. Luke Watenberg is the sixth highest paid center in the NFL. So 4 years 12 million. No, 4 years 40 48 million with 27 million guaranteed. So he’s 12 million a year. Oh my god. Hell yeah. Okay. Yeah. Oh my god. This is the best tweet that you could find all night. Take a listen to this. The Broncos starting offensive line is all under contract through at least next year. That’s what I’m freaking talking about, man. Holy cow. I love it. I absolutely love it. All right, I’m ready to rock and roll. Let’s go, man. I love this football team, dude. They’re making me happy. Very happy. Breaking news. Phoenix, don’t even get me started, man. I’m getting chills thinking about it. Getting chills. All right. You ready to rock and roll? Let’s do this. All right. Here we go. Final cut. We’ll get you guys on out of here afterwards. 128 of you. Thank you so much. If you haven’t already, hit that sub button for me. Let’s do it. [Music] Quite literally during the live show with Ben from Sports Talk Denver, we get breaking news from Mile High. And isn’t it so appropriate that it’s another contract extension? Broncos country. Welcome into the Broncos breakdown by Chad Sports. My name is Moose. The Broncos are extending Luke Watenberg to a 4-year, $48 million contract extension per Mike Cliss and Ari Myrov, who is an NFL insider, a former fifth round pick. Watenberg was scheduled to be a free agent in March, and he has started 24 games since last season. We could go back and forth about if Luke Watenberg deserved this extension. There’s been times this year where I’m going to be completely honest with you against the Bengals he had five penalties just by himself, but since then he’s cleaned it up. I think this is a bigger message that Shawn and George Payton are kind of showing us really, really quickly. And that message is they want the continuity to remain the same. Did you know the Broncos starting offensive line is all under contract through at least the end of the 2026 season? That’s what this is about. George Payton, Shawn Payton, they want this team to remain intact. and Luke Watenberg with all of the problems that he’s had at times during the season. And granted, it’s been a lot better since that Cincinnati Bengals game, he’s a part of this offensive line. He is your starting center. He’s been good, very good. And I’m happy that he got his money. I’m glad he got his contract extension. I’m glad he got his bag. I mean, that’s exactly what the name of the game is for players. It’s still a business. They want to get paid. But like I went back to saying, George Payton is building something here that he knows is special. BS when Powers comes back, Watenberg, Miners, McGllinchi. This is the most continuity friendly offensive line. They’ve played together for so long. They understand what Shawn Payeyton wants. They want They understand what Shawn Payton desires. They understand what works and what doesn’t work for the run game and more importantly for Bo Knicks. So when I look at this signing, I don’t view it as one individual player. I view it as the culture building, the culture growing in mile high because that’s what this is about. Luke Watenberg is now the sixth highest paid center in the league. That’s great for him, great for his family. I’m very, very happy for him. But this is bigger picture. We’ve got to start thinking bigger picture. And the bigger picture is George Payton, Shawn Payeyton, they’ve told you through the moves that they’ve made. They’ve told you through their interviews. They’ve told you through their record this year, this team Super Bowl window is open and it’s not closing anytime soon. So, if you had to grade the Luke Watenberg contract extension based off of those reasons alone, what would you give it? A, B, C, D, or F? I’m giving it an A because of the continuity. For the player, I think it’s a B or a B+. Let me know in the comments section down below. I’m very jovial tonight. It’s been a great night for Moose. It’s been a great night for Ben that joined us. And on the back half of this episode, we’re going to take some questions from Broncos fans that were to me, to Ben, and just about the team in 2025. But first, like I said, make sure you get down to the comment section and grade the Luke Watenberg Contract Extension. Now, coming up, like I said, we’re going to get into some questions, but first, got to tell you about our brand new sponsor, and that’s our friends over at Cash App. Holiday season is here. I know we just saw it. We just broke it down a little bit. I appreciate that though. Trying to keep me in the know, keep me in the loop. That’s why I rely on Broncos country. Luke Watenberg signing that four-year extension. Uh 12 million a year. Four years, 48 million. sixth highest paid center in the National Football League. It’s a great great contract for the Denver Broncos, keeping that continuity in for the team. Now, who are the other Broncos that we need to resign because Shawn Payeyton made it very clear. They’ve already reached out to some players. They’ve already gone out and said, “We need to resign someone or some people, I should say. Excuse me.” Well, Luke Watenberg just got the extension. That leaves seven other players. John Franklin Meyers, by the way, the Broncos have already said we’re not interested in discussing a contract with him at this time. So, that really just leaves six. Roach, Singleton, Sternad, Dobbins, Lock, and Troutman. Well, out of those six, I’ve got four must resigns. Four must-h have resigned players. Malcolm Roach, JK Dobbins, Singleton, and I did put Franklin Meyers on that list, but I’m willing to part ways with him if the Broncos are saying it’s going to cost too much. They could always put Seavon Jones in there. That’s the reason you drafted him. He’s the JFM replacement. So, those three, Roach, Dobbins, Singleton. I will also say this, there is a player out there that I truly believe deserves all of the money right now because he’s been playing outstanding. And I was notably hard on this guy. Jaquan McMillan deserves that contract extension. He absolutely does. The dude’s been electric this year. And his best game ca came against the Kansas City Chiefs. And if I look at the Broncos quarterback depth chart, I don’t want to part with anybody right now. They’re all playing good. I don’t want to part with Chris Abrams drain. He’s been playing excellent as a rotational player play player and like a plug-andplay player. Jaquan McMillan’s been excellent. Johnny Baron’s been covering the tight end amazingly. And Riley Moss with the given plays uh the big plays that he gives up and the penalties has still been an excellent fill in as CB1 with the injured Pat Certan. So if you had to pick that you needed to resign, a player that you had to resign, who would it be? Let me know in the comments section down below. If I had to pick two players based off of this question, JK Diamonds, Jaquan McMillan, those are my two that I’m resigning immediately. De Jesus Broncos odds that we sweep the rest of the season. Do you want like actual odds, like gambling odds? I don’t know, like six to one, seven to one probably. It’s very very hard to go the rest of the season undefeated considering you play the Packers, you play the Chiefs, you play the Chargers again, you play the Jaguars in there, but uh I don’t think 13-4 or 14-3 is out of the realm of possibilities. I think the Broncos will most likely lose one more game, but that’s about it. And remember, it’s hard to win all of these football games in the NFL. These are the best football players in the world before you see me go. Cool name, by the way. What are the Broncos going to do at the running back position? Uh, nothing. At least right now. They could go out and sign a guy like Jamal Williams. Um, led the league in 2022 in rushing touchdowns. 17 of them to be exact. But, uh, I don’t think the Broncos are going to do anything outside of what they’ve got right now. It’s going to be the trio, the three-headed monster of RJ Harvey, Jill Mclofflin, and Tyler Bedet. Obviously, if you can find an issue with the what do you want to call it? If you find an issue with the power running scheme, okay, then maybe you have something else to talk about. Three guys that you could absolutely go out and get that fit the power running scheme. Jamal Williams, that’s who I want. Dante Foreman or Deontay Foreman, excuse me, at number two. And then Gus Edwards, somebody that we faced off with last year uh for the Los Angeles Chargers. All three of these guys are just kind of sitting on their couch right now waiting to be called. Anybody want to chase a ring? Anybody want to make a couple of paychecks? Come on over to Mile High. We’ll take good care of you. Yeah, that’s probably what I would say. Not anything going to happen right at this moment. But I think if you see that there’s a major issue in the power running scheme, maybe there’s a different conversation to be had. Andy Best, do you think that the Commanders will be a trap game and how can we win? Great question. I actually highlighted a three-step plan on how you could beat the Washington Commanders. I do think it is the definition of a trap game. I don’t think they’re going to fall into the trap. The keys to victory, don’t come out sluggish. You’ve had a lot of time to uh get ready for this game. You’ve had the by-week Sunday Night Football. Don’t come out come out punching people in the mouth. That’s what you need to do. Step two, punish Mariota with the blitz. If you keep the pinch on both sides and you flood him up in the pocket and you keep a quarterback spy on him so that he doesn’t take off and run, he can’t do anything to beat you. There’s a reason this guy’s a backup. Been a career backup basically since he was drafted by the Tennessee Titans. Step three, move the pocket consistently with Bo. Get Bo rolling out to the right. We do know that there’s some winter vortex type of weather going on in Washington DC for this game. So maybe running or throwing the football isn’t exactly what uh Shawn Peyton’s plan is going to be. And that’s why I said you’re going to have to really see what this three-headed monster at the running back position can do. But for the most part, I’m very okay with uh the game plan that I just laid out there. I think the Broncos win that game 24 to10. Couple more questions here and we’ll take off. What do you think the amount of wins that we’re going to get this year and how far do you think we go in the playoffs? 13-4 is my actual prognostication. I said 12 and five at the beginning of this year. I think the Broncos make the AFC Championship game at this point based off of what I’ve seen. I I can’t say the Super Bowl, guys. And the reason I say that is because every single team says, “We want to make the Super Bowl, man.” Well, of course we do. But let’s talk realistically. Last year, the Denver Broncos lost first round. You have to win a playoff game this year to take the next step. But I do think it’s one step beyond that based off of what we’ve seen from this team so far. You’ve got to make it to the AFC Championship game at least. And if that game’s at mile high, then you have a real conversation to be had about making it to the Super Bowl. All right. Thank you so much, Avenger. Uh I think that was that the last question. Oh, let’s do one more here from our guy Mike Pacheco. Hopefully not related to Isaiah Pacheco. Did Von Miller sign a year contract with the Broncos? He wanted to. He definitely wanted to. He had a call with George Payton, believe it or not. Called up Jordan, said what it’s going to take to get on this team. And that was going into this football season. And George Peyton essentially said, “Look, we’ve got two guys that are rotational pieces behind Bonito and Cooper. They’re Jonah Ellis. They’re Dandre Tilman. And they play special teams. Von Miller doesn’t play special teams at this point in his career. But I will say this, and I think this is the ultimate take before we end today’s show. If you wanted to go out and sign Von Miller, I think you have to let him retire a Denver Bronco. Sign him to the vet minimum next season. Bring him on as more of a player coached style role. He can be a locker room voice and he can retire a Denver Bronco. That’s going to do it for us on today’s episode. A reminder to hit that subscribe button, like today’s video. A mile high salute to you. Be cool. We’re good. Sorry. All right, Broncos country, that’s the end of our show. Hopefully, I’m no longer coughing as we get into the uh next coming days here. I’m sorry about that. I I don’t know what’s going on with me. I don’t know what’s going on with me. All right, everybody, have a great rest of your night. Shout out to everybody that showed up. Shout out to Ben. Shout out to Reed. Shout out to everybody that made this possible. Jack, Sam, James, Brett, everybody over there at the chat sports offices. We definitely appreciate you uh allowing me to do this cool stuff here. I I’ll try to get well, James. I appreciate that, my friend. Thank you so much. Until next time, Broncos country mile high salute. Be cool. [Music]

Go BRONCOS
I wasn't sure about Wattenberg…but recently Baldy (a former NFL lineman) had nothing but praise and positives for Luke. So, we should be celebrating.

Ben (Dover) How do you see the Broncos record and position in the playoffs?
That show you just did with Ben was awesome! I watch you both everyday! Much appreciated you guys did that together! You guys are definitely gonna have to do that again a few times a season at least!
Ben (Dover) flexes his ass cheeks….
I watch both of you and love listening to you both. I wanted to mention that a few years back, I flew out to watch the Titans and the Broncos play. We sacked Mariotta so bad that he lost his starting position from that moment. He's been a backup ever since and I can almost guarantee that he remembers that day.

You gotta remember there’s a difference between criticism and what you do you bash you don’t criticize you bash. You’ve been doing a lot better here lately, but you bash whoever you think is the problem now you finally realized to stand with Bo when you count in the drops that should’ve been catches you finally realize that and you haven’t been so hard on Bo lately, but you was bashing him left and right being critical is different than bashing and then you talk like you’re a better coach than Sean that stuff gets annoying because like yesterday for example you felt like PS2 could’ve played and what risk everything risk PS2 that’s a good thing you’re not the coach you act like you know better than everybody that’s the way you come off Ben he’s completely opposite. I could take criticism, but you just do it too much. You bash way too much. I wanna tune in to these shows after a win or loss and not hear someone bashing the team. I wanna hear someone talking about their thoughts of what went wrong or what went good without the bash.
Love the collab with my guy Ben!! Im his moderator for his channel, and this was such a good collab and idea!! Ben is so much fun to work with! Great job, Moose!!
