Luka Doncic on getting heated with Kris Dunn “Cheap shot.. I ain’t afraid of nobody”

Things got a little chippy at the end of the battle of LA. Luca Donuch didn’t appreciate Chris Dunn shoving him in the back. They exchanged a few words and Jackson Hayes had Lucas’s back shove Chris Dunn. Chris Dunn ultimately got ejected after all of this. And here’s what Luca had to say in his postgame interview about it. Do you uh do you volunteer to pay Jackson’s technical fine of the I got it. I told I told him right away. Yeah. But in and that that aside, but did do you appreciate that kind of you guys have obviously had good camaraderie throughout the season? Of course, I appreciate it. I told him right away, thanks for having my back and that that says a lot about him. That says a lot about this team. So, uh, everybody got got each other’s back. Getting back to the play where Jackson kind of had your back. You and Chris Dun have had some, uh, history, I guess you could say. Uh, what do you think sparked the exchange you had today? Well, I was waiting for the rebound. I got a a cheap shot, you know, uh, in my back. So, I’m not going to just stand, you know, I ain’t afraid of nobody. I’m just going to stand and let it go. Uh, the ref was white dirt. Uh, I don’t understand how we couldn’t call a foul on that one. Uh, but, you know, that’s what the game is about. Sometimes going to get physical. There’s a lot of trash talk. I live for that, so I love it. Luca, your averages against the Clippers are like your career high. What is it about the Clippers that brings out, I guess, your best? I don’t know. I think we just met a lot of times in the playoffs. Uh they beat me the first two times, so uh I don’t know what it is. Uh but I guess I like it. Jackson, uh Luca did say that he quickly told you that he’s got the fine covered. Um can you confirm that? Yeah, he said he got me. He He definitely said he got me. Um yeah, I mean I just didn’t like the way he shoved Luca, so I’m going to do something about it. Uh, we didn’t need that moment for for Jackson or for Luca to know that Jackson got his back. I mean, we are very close-knit group. So, um, you know, so um, you know, definitely I know Luca appreciate it and and Jackson is, you know, one of our big guys and, you know, look out for all, you know, all the smaller guys, you know. So, um, it was great that it happened, but it’s not like that was a moment in time where we going to look back and be like, “Oh, that solidified our season.” I thought it was, you know, super duper dope though, you know, and to have our guys stick up for one of our guys. But we are we are really close-knit group. Yeah. I mean, we highlight that stuff to our guys all the time, whether it’s um celebrating a guy making a shot. We had a great clip from Milwaukee. Nick Smith makes a three, Maxi celebrating on the court. Um our bench celebrations, guy falls down after a foul. It happened tonight. Multiple guys running over to pick guys up. Um, again, we’re not we’re not saying you have to do that. We’re not saying those are not requirements, but that’s typically guys show their cards and show their hands whether or not they like each other. And and you know, tonight was another example of
