I have been under the impression he had been playing really well, and is one of the best young players in the whole SHL. Why in the world would they demote him to the 4th line and significantly cut his ice time? It really makes me wonder if he should have just come to training camp and played in North America this year.

  1. Probably out playing their stars and they dont want that. If I was the hawks I’d be pulling him over here

  2. Because they’re more interested in winning games than developing a player who’s going to leave them soon anyways. Time to get him to Rockford

  3. Hope they can convince him to stay after WJC. Rather him play minutes in Rockford than watch games in Sweden.

  4. It’s a good plan, he has some really hot games where he is on the ice a lot. This gives him a little break and allows him to “see” the game. It’s an excellent development tactic, more talking to the coaches and learning to see his teammates. I wouldn’t want to rush him over here at all and I believe in the process. We as fans just have to trust this process and he will come over next year, probably near NHL ready.
