This is wild as hell, especially when you remember that campaign they tried to run in 2019/20 lol. I've never seen a sports franchise crash and burn as bad as the Clippers all that hype and all that talk just for the Lakers to end up with LeBron and AD which resulted in the championship then Anthony Davis resulted in Luka 😂

  1. Even i began to question if the Goat could play at an all nba level still. I knew he could play.
… Hes ramping up and shown flashes 3 games in. If he can keep it up/ wants to we could have 3 all stars this year. Scary hours.

  2. But did you consider all the good selfies the clippers got? Pics of kawhi and pg gotta be worth something

  3. Im aware.  It’s the reason I’m not a a dual fan.

We’ve got two home teams. We should be able to enjoy the two.  The Clippers just don’t want that.

  4. It was an unforced error too. Like 7 years of out performing us in the regular season and they really thought talking shit around town, a town that we still owned, was a good idea. 🤦🏽‍♂️

  5. The worst thing about that was that every side from sports media to the general NBA fanbase bought into this. Somehow Laker fans were made to look like haters and idiots to simply think that AD and LeBron was a formidable threat to win a title or that we shouldn’t hype up a franchise with no championships because they got Paul fucking George as a 2nd option. This era deserved more hate than the Heatles run or KD joining the Warriors. But it won’t because everyone pretends like they didn’t hype this shit up.

  6. The PG trade was a massive overpay even before all the injuries and fuck the fuzzy logic of “they were also trading for Kawaii”.

Can’t believe they’re still gonna owe 2 FRPs for that failure of a trade 🤣🤣🤣. keep on clippin sons

  7. Guys, we may have won the game, but the Clippers won the street light awards 😔

    I guess they’re the true winners here #StreetLightsOverSpotlights #BlueCollarsOverDollars #AspirationOverCapCircumvention

  8. Ballmer invested billions a decade, and literally cheated trying to make the Clippers better and more appealing than the Lakers just for the Lakers to end up with a championship, a cup championship, a wcf appearance, and fell ass backward into the ultimate Clipper killer 😂

  9. Remember when the plan was to get PG13 and Kawhi as the big 3 with LeBron? Damn what a bullet we dodged.

  10. Summary of 2019-2020 season

    Clippers: Street lights over Spotlights

Lou Williams: Chicken wings over championship rings.

Lakers: Mamba on 3 over Cancun on 3

  11. Could have owned Anaheim or moved up to Seattle. Instead, they chose to build a state of the art arena to be 2nd fiddle in for the next 30 years.

  12. Online discourse would’ve been grinding had the Clippers won it all in 2020. We’d have to hear about how the Clippers were the “ultimate underdogs” despite them adding Kawhi and Paul George to an already deep roster with only Gallinari and a raw Shai being shipped away to acquire them.

  13. Fun times.

Seeing the Clippers blow a 3-1 lead and seeing us win a chip in 2020 was amazing.

  14. If Kawhi and Uncle Dennis weren’t so greedy, Kawhi would have had a bag and forever be an LA legend.

    RDAmbition died for this

  15. As someone who does not live in LA – how are the Clippers streetlights? Don’t they have the richest owner in the league?

  16. And the worst part of this is that they had a hand in building the current monstrosity that is OKC thunder.

  17. Story could’ve been so different had Kawhi never got injured everybody got robbed of a potential top 10 player all time.

  18. The crazy thing is, the clippers don’t get anywhere as much as criticism as the lakers do since Kawhi and paul george got there. They literally didn’t do jack shit and the lakers actually won a title since 2019.

  19. Kawhi’s ‘top 10 player’ case has always been held up by a wafer thin 30-game stretch every season. GTFO and take your crooked uncle with you.

  20. they quit in the bubble and to cope with that crosstown championship, their fans, for the first time in sports history, agreed with their team quitting in the playoffs.

  21. That shit was so cynical. They really believed LA sports fans were gonna suck up the most generic, corporate crafted, Microsoft-esque slop. Not to mention it’s crazy to be that arrogant when you have zero trophies vs. seventeen.

  22. I didn’t mind the campaign tbh. It was good for the game. Those early 2019 games between the Lakers and Clippers were so hyped

  23. Street lights over spot lights while literally having the richest owner in sports history. Can’t make this shit up 😂
