If he plays enough games to qualify I think he’s gotta be the front runner. (Just looked it up and odds makers agree).

Once JDub returns Chet will get more time at the 5 which should improve his rim protection stats. He was the most efficient rim protector in the league last season. Provided that happens and Wemby misses the games played threshold then Chet is the favorite for DPOY.
If Wemby plays 65 games he wins. If not, Chet should be the choice.
Chet has a great chance at winning the award. But Cason Wallace might actually be the DPOY. Seriously. He’s like the Iron Claw on defense. He just clamps people down.

Clearly Wemby if he qualifies. Wemby has sort of a reverse gravity (like the anti Steph Curry) where people don’t even attempt a lot of shots near him

for all-defensive team it’s probably Chet first, then Cason, then IHart (based on consistency/minutes played) or Caruso (based on lore) and probably Shai at fourth
