Sounds of the Game: Jaguars Beat Cardinals in Resilient Overtime Win | Jacksonville Jaguars
All right, guys. Let’s get rolling here. What we have earned is the opportunity to play meaningful games in November. And what we also have done is we’ve continued to set and create new standards. Continue to hold each other to that standard. That’s the play. It looks like the old. All right. Hey guys. meaningful games in November, right? That kind of mentality, that mindset, our physical brand of football right now, one play at a time and be you. Be you. Be special. That’s you. And we welcome you here to State Farm Stadium here in Glendale, Arizona. Jeff, huge win last week for the Jaguars and they have a chance to build on that today. Yeah, I thought that was by far their most complete victory against the Chargers and that sets a standard and that standard is playing fast, physical, smart, and eliminating the mistakes. But the challenge now is consistency and meeting that standard and good teams find a way to meet the challenge on a weekly basis. on the do that confidence. Put it on tight again that play out. Back in the lineup is tight end Brentton Strange. Yeah. Acting off of VR this week and he’s going to provide a lift with his presence in the running game. That’s always felt. But he’s going to give Trevor dependable option in the passing game. And I consider Brent one of the best tight ends in the league. play. This is a big game because you have to build on what you did a week ago. That’s the storyline. They played with an edge last week. Liam said afterwards they were ticked off, but you got to keep playing that way even after a big game, not after a disappointing one. They don’t even know, bro. They don’t even know. Brother, what’s up, brother? Good to see you, man. So, uh, here we go. We will kick it off. Come on, it’ll be Dors from the goal line. He brings it out to the five to the 10 yd line, the 20 yd line. He fumbled the ball and then picked it up. Hold on to that ball, George. It’s coming out. Hold on to that ball. So, here come the Arizona Cardinals. Kyler Murray is down. We told you about the 32-year-old on his sixth different team and he’s a veteran that knows how to play. Running play this time. This is Knight. Foyer Luickin makes the tackle. And that is Foyer Lillin’s 1,000th career tackle as an NFL player. One of the best tacklers in the National Football League. Fire. Third down and six from the 45. Set drops. Drops. Scrambling to his right. He’s looking. He’s still looking. He’s going to get sacked. Yeah. Dennis Gard got it back in Cardinals territory around the 47 yd line. Oh, the former fourtime captain for the Arizona Cardinals, Dennis Gard, gets his first sack of the year. Great job, Gard. Let’s go. That’s one. That’s one. We need two more. We need two more. Play fake. Trevor drops into the end zone. Fires it deep downfield. And that ball is going to be caught out of the diving catch. Bron Strange. Welcome back. A terrific catch. He got it to the 35 yd line. They run it with ETN to the right side. Has big running room. 40 35 30 near the right sideline. Broke a tackle. Still on his feet. He got it to the 15 yd line of the Cardinals. An explosive run from Travis ETN. 45 yd. Dropping the throw looking. Swings it out of the back. That’s ETN. 15 yd line. 10 yd line. Five leading toward the goal line. Touchdown. You got to give credit. Now, this offense started out this drive at the minus three and that big play to Brenton Strange really got it going. Kobet in the shotgun play fake. Drop the throw. Fourman rush. He’s going to get hit. He’s going to get sacked. The Jags got there. Josh Hines Allen had the pressure. Then Devon Hamilton actually got the sack back at the 41 yd line. Great work by that Jaguars defense. Three receivers all to the left side here. Quinn Allen in the game as the running back. They’re showing blitz in the Cardinals and they’re coming. Trevor Los fires. He’s hit and they let it go. picked off by the Cardinals and they’re going to run it into the end zone for a touchdown. Behave, but expect it to come up again. So, we’ll be quick to get out. Third down. The Jags have not converted one. They had a third down a moment ago and it was a disaster. See if they can convert this one. Dropping is Trevor. Pump face. Now he’s going to run it. He’s got all kind of running room. 4550 Cardinal territory inside the 45 yd line. That is a terrific run by Trevor Lawrence. 52 yder from the right hash. He’s 16 out of 20 on the year. Three out of five from north of 50. Cook puts it down. Cam kicks it up. The 52 yd field goal is good. And it hit halfway up the net if you’re wondering. Second and goal from the two yd line. They run it again to the left side with Knight. This time he threw the goal line. Touchdown. We’ve played 30 minutes in the desert. It was really domination by the Cardinals. After the first drive, the Jags got off to a seven nothing lead. They had a lead when they had 10 points on a field goal as well. But in the second quarter, it was all Arizona 134 yds to two. But the good news is you’re only down four points, 14 to 10. The Cardinals lead it and the Jags will have the ball to start the second half. us. It all goes through us. Let’s go. So Ryland will kick it off and he puts his foot to it. Two. This will be Bashel Toots from the four yd line to the 10 15 yd line at the 20 yd line. Cuts it to the middle field. That’s a good return. Still on his feet. He got it out past the 40 yd line. That is a terrific return and that’s great starting field position for the Jaguars offense. Trevor drops on first down. looks, fires middle of the field. That’s caught. That’s Parker Washington. He made the catch. He’s got it into Cardinals territory inside the 45. Dropping again is Trevor looking. Scrambling to his left. Still looking. Now he fires downfield. That ball is caught on the far sideline. Do they call it a catch? Yes, they do. Brenton Strange made the catch. Perfect goal from the six-yd line. Shotgun for Trevor. Play fake. Fires into the end zone. And that ball is going to be intercepted in the end zone. I think it got tipped. Campbell, I think he got his hands on it. I think he’s the one who got the tip. So the Cardinals take over. They turn away the Jags. They start at their own 20 yd line. 1258 to play in the third quarter of a 14-10 game. Let’s get it started. Hey, let’s go get one. Play ball. Play ball. Let’s go get one. Here we go. They run the ball this time. Oh, go sir. And nice work by the Jaguars stuffing the run that time. Go. One more. One more. Yeah, that’s a big one there, right? I mean, that’s the second takeaway that the Cardinals have in this ball game. You don’t give them anything. In fact, they lose five yards. Now, you’re giving the ball back to your offense hopefully with some really good field position after a strong punt return by Parker Washington. Parker’s going to retreat to around the 30 yd line. running to his left now and he’s got some room. 35 yd line, 40, 50 yd line into Cardinal territory. Made a man miss. 35 yd line, 30 yardd line. What a punt returner this guy is. He got it inside the 30 yd line. He is electric at the punt returner. And the Jags will start inside the 30 yd line of the Arizona Cardinal. Third and six. Jags two out of five on third downs. They got to get it to the four yd line. Dropping. It’s an all out blitz. Turn fire. That ball is going to be caught for the touchdown. crazy. And then the play Trevor under duress gets rid of the ball and just kind of throws it to an area. Jacobe Myers boxes out the defender and makes another huge catch. Third down and 10. Jags have again crowded the line. They’re again showing blitz. Will they come again? Yes, they will. It’s a blitz dropping against the blitzes percent. They’re going to get there. He’s going to scramble out to his left. Now he scrambles back to his right. Now he’s going to get sacked and Dennis Garnick got him inside the 15 yd line. And that’s the second sack of the game for Dennis Gard coming back to the place that he called home the first seven years of his NFL career. Shotgun formation. ETN the running back. Dropping his Trevor looking fires middle of the field. That ball’s going to be picked off. They’re tending to Jacobe Brassette. Jacobe did run off the field. He did get up and jog back to the sideline after the big hit. And I think he’s in the blue tent. I think Jacobe Brassette is in the blue tent. So Slovis has to finish this drive out. You know, because Jacobe Brassette looks like his head hit the turf as he landed out of bounds. Dropping the throw. Fourman rush. Fires it out to the left side. It’s caught by Dors, but he is tackled immediately by Jarian Jones at midfield. Great work by the Jaguar defense. And once again, on comes the punt team for Arizona. Third down eight. Jags are three out of eight on third downs. None bigger than this one. 8:45 on the clock. The Jags are clinging to a three-point lead. Trevor in a shotgun. Two on the play clock. He gets it off. He drops. Trevor looks, fires. The ball is intercepted again. Third down and eight. They’re three out of 11 on third down. Shotgun for Brousette from the 39 yd line. The Jags in four. They throw a little crossing route. He broke a tackle. 20 15 10 5 touchdown. Hey guys, this such a great opportunity for Trevor Lawrence. We have four turnovers. Look, the natural tendency is to get conservative and timid. Let’s see if he lets it rip like they going. encouraged him to do last week before the shorts. Trevor Lauren GTN the running back two tight end set play fake they throw it to strain he’s wide open all the right sideline 45 50 in Arizona territory that is a great play called by Liam Cohen now they have trips to the left after motion dropping is Trevor looking fires middle field that one’s caught my he made a miss got it inside the 30 yd line Trevor stuck it in there first and goal from the 9 yd line you trail 2117 play fake Trevor steps up fires to the back of the end zone diving attempt the Oh, caught for the touchdown in the back of the end zone. Parker Washington a 9 yd touchdown and Jack Deville has retaken the lead. What a throw. I’m talking what a throw. Parker Washington is being covered and man by Garrett Williams. And I’m sitting there looking at it going, “No, don’t throw.” Trevor throws it in the only spot that I think Parker Washington could have made a catch on that play. Outstanding job by Trevor and might have been even better by Parker Washington. I know. We need one more, boys. Decking down to three now. 320 to play in the ball game. Dropping against a blitz. Scrambling to his right. Looking. He is sacked. The Jags got him at the 29 yd line. Are you kidding me? Antonio Johnson blitzed from his safety spot and made a huge sack around the 30 yd line. Never lose. Here we go. Convert the fourth down and you win the ball game. Play fake rolling to the right. Trevor looking. Look looking. Fires it toward the end zone and it’s incomplete. So now the Cardinals have the ball trailing 24-21 with 138 to play in the game at their own 20 yd line. Dropping at the fourman rushes fires deep downfield. He’s got a man open. That ball’s going to be caught at the 8 yd line. This is a 29 y from the left hash to send the game into overtime. High snap gets it down. Ryland kicks it up. The field goal is good. And with 3 seconds to play, we have a tie ball game. 24- 24. Trevor takes the knee. And we are headed to overtime. Each team will have an opportunity to possess the ball unless the defense has a score of their own while the offense has the ball first. Two timeouts each team. Fourth quarter timing rules. No challenges. Everything is upstairs. Same coin. Heads, tails, heads, and a tail. Your choice. Tails. Choice is tails. You want to check that one? Sounds good. So that’s the situation again. Two weeks ago, they had the same thing on the road in Las Vegas. The Jags scored, took the extra point. The Raiders came down and also scored, but went for two. The Jags knocked it down. Devon Hamilton knocked it away and the Jags are 1 and0 this year in overtime. Can they get to 2 and 0 and get to seven and four on the year? Let’s go. Let’s go finish whatever it takes. Doesn’t matter. Let’s go. Will kick it off again. 2424 at the end of regulation. Jags will be on offense first in the overtime period. Here’s the kickoff. Yeah. Let’s go. Let’s go. This where we prove ourselves. Let’s go. Let’s go. Let’s go. I’m surprised that they kicked that into the end zone, giving the Jaguars the ball great field position out of 35. They’re not very trusting of their kickoff coverage unit. Shotgun formation for Trevor Lawrence. Jags go right to left. This is the same direction they’ve been going in the last quarter. Shotgun for Trevor looking fires along the right sideline. That ball is going to be caught. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. That’s an excellent job by Trevor of identifying a mismatch because that’s Denzel Burke, the rookie that’s in coverage there and Parker Washington takes him to school. 52 y from the right hash. Cook puts it down. Cam Little kicks it up and the 52 yd field goal is good. And the Jags have taken a 2724 lead in overtime with 746 remaining in the overtime period. We got we got it. We got it. Do I want to slam or I want to option to run the face. Feel like Julio Jones. All right, here’s the opportunity for the defense to finish this game. They had an opportunity at the end of regulation. Couldn’t get it done. Now you get another opportunity. Another driver up. Another driver opportunity. Let’s go. Another driver opportunity. Let’s go. Nice call game. So they start at the 28 yd line. Can the Jags get one more stop here? Can you stuff him one more time here? Fourman rush for the Jags as he drops the throw. tries to square lack. The Jags got him as Josh Hines Allen got him. The career sack leader in Jaguar history and had a big one right there back at the 24 yd line. Third down and four from the 42 of Jacksonville. They send four. He drops. Fires in the field and that ball’s going to be incomplete. It was knocked away. It’s fourth down. Come on. We got to get him, boys. Come on. Talk to me. Let’s go. Here we go. You get a stop here, you win the ball game. If the Cardinals make the first down, the overtime period continues. Fourth down. Fourth and four from the Jaguars 42 yd line. Jags have four men up front. They’re not showing blitz. They send four. Here we go. Drops a throw. Looking. Looking. fires it deep downfield. That ball is going to be knocked away. Knocked away. Knocked away. The Jags winning it in overtime with another terrific defensive play. All these cardiac cats, they win it again. A huge win on the road for the Jacksonville Jaguars. This game once again shows that this Jaguars football team is resilient. You know, they talked about the challenge of the standard that was set against the Chargers. Well, the reality is games aren’t going to happen very often like they did against the Chargers to where you dominate from beginning to end. Adversity always happens. And this team is special and the way we pick each other up and have each other back take us a long way. Let’s get Liam talk about adversity. My goodness. This has been a whole this has been a semester worth of adversity, not just a day or two. And they found out that they don’t collapse and they don’t buckle in moments like this. Look at me in my eye. That’s how you finish though, German. How you don’t talk about us. We got this. We’ll handle our biz. See you next week. Tennessee. Come on. Don’t get that on too. Come on. Come on. Way to end it. Is that a way to end it? You said you can’t believe that. Come on. Let’s go. Come on. Way to win. Way to win. Oh yeah, I know. That’s how you make a play, man. Come on. Let’s go. Hey, you make a play, man. Game on the line. Make Let’s go. Hell no. You feel me? I’m really liking it. I’m actually like this is not a game. Like it’s not a game by any means, man. Y not pretty. Quarter zip’s coming. You’re greedy, not pretty. Quarter zip’s coming, man. You’re greedy, not pretty. Quarter zip’s coming for the team, for the players. Quarter zip’s coming. 1K tackles. 1K tackles. 1K tackles. Yes, sir. Yeah, the 1K 1K guys real quick. We’re noting apologizing foring wins around here, guys. How’d that go? Three and 0 on the West Coast. Three on the West Coast. That’s about resilience. That’s about staying the course and staying together and making plays when we need it most. How about our quarterback of Parker Washington at the end of that? How about our defense with a Hey, the guy just keeps coming up camp. Let’s go, guys. That’s a That’s a road win in the NFL. That’s what that is. That’s a road win in the league. And they ain’t easy to come by. They’re not. That’s seven wins, boys. Seven wins. And this guy right here. Holy. Get in here. Get in here. Guys, that’s a culture win, guys. That’s you guys. That’s you. Y’all made the plays when it mattered most. Wasn’t any great call, man. It was you guys. And that’s what this is all about. It’s about you. It’s about us together doing this thing. And that’s a big win on the road, guys. I’m very proud of you. Very proud we stuck together. could have easily folded multiple times. We stuck with it. We played our off and I’m proud of you, man. Very proud of you. Hey, win. Way to keep grinding, bro. Everybody stay together. We going to keep standing, bro. We going to take this by storm, man. Let’s go, man. 1 2 3.
Despite four turnovers, the Jaguars rebounded with clutch playmaking down the stretch to set up a 27-24 overtime victory over the Arizona Cardinals. Watch the cinematic recap on Sounds of the Game, presented by Your Southern Ford Dealers.

Wake up, fans. We are witnessing one of the best teams in franchise history.
To everyone complaining about this season: you need a reality check. I just ran the numbers on every single start through Week 12 since 1996, and the data is undeniable.
We aren't just "okay." We are witnessing a historically great Jaguars season.
The Historical Hierarchy (Thru Week 12):
Tier 1 (The 1999 Anomaly): 10-1
Tier 2 (Elite): 8-3 (Happened 5 times)
Tier 3 (Current Status): 7-4 (Happened only twice: 2017 & 2025)
Tier 4 (The Dark Ages): The other 22 seasons where we were usually 3-8 or 4-7.
Think about that. In 30 years of football, we have only been 7-4 or better 8 times. That means 73% of the time, we are significantly worse than we are right now.
We are currently sitting in the top 27% of all seasons in franchise history. This is the 3rd best start we have ever had.
Stop looking for things to complain about and appreciate what we have. We aren't fighting for a draft pick; we are fighting for a legacy. This is what a winning culture looks like—start enjoying it. They need us, time to step up just like they have! Duuuuvaaaallll!!!!!
That shake by Washington at 9:26 was NASTY
TREVOR HAS TO BE BETTER, OR HES NOT OUR GUY —->
Calais come home. -Jacksonville
Gardeck becoming a favorite lol
Parker Washington is worth signing. He's a reliable weapon for Trev and value add with the punt returns.
Hope im wrong and this comment gets clowned on but dont think Trev will ever be good enough to take us to a super bowl. So many bad decisions for a guy in his 5th year making 35+ million. Been his biggest defender but this season has been a massive step backwards.
Our production team is FANTASTIC!! DUUUUUUUUVAL FOREVER!!! 🤙
We not fuckin apologizing for win over here 🐆
Thanks now i can enjoy Thanksgiving
Liam is the guy man
I like how all our plays up close and Cardinals we fading in the background with Nick Mullens lol…
Trevor was out there killing our fan base one pick at a time however he made the play that matter in the clutch 2-0 in OT. When in years past we would've got smoked and blown them OT situations
It's crunch time we in the weeds that 7 to 10 win stretch we can make it out division champions keep stacking DUUUUVVVAAAAALLLLLL
DTWD OMM DUUUUVVVAAAAALLLLLL
