Who the Guardians May Be Eyeing This Offseason – Sports4CLE, 11/26/25
Let’s head to the voicemail of Truth and Reason, a baseball call. Hey Dave, love the show. I know we’re in the midst of football season and startup of basketball, but uh have you heard anything on the Guardians? Any moves they’re particularly going to make or that they’ve already made? I’ve been trying to find reading and trying to find some content, but I haven’t heard or found anything. Just want to know if you heard anything. Go Guards. So, they did not offer a contract. They nonendered Will Brennan, he will be gone. Nick Enright didn’t get a contract. He needs Tommy John. Uh they did sign Nolan Jones to a small contract. The the name that continues to be circulated um and he’s attached to the Guardians and a couple of other teams is Brendan Donovan of the Cardinals. Right-handed hitter, plays a number of positions, has a little bit of pop. Um, I would also pay attention to guys that were non-tendered from other teams specifically uh Garcia uh from the Rangers, JJ Bled from the A’s, Christopher Morell from the Rays. Those are all guys with some power. Uh, something to keep in mind though, George Valera, Chase, um, got some run. Delotter in the playoffs, Valera in the playoffs as well late in the year. Uh, Guardians are gave those guys every opportunity to to win jobs in the outfield and at specific times in their journey in the minor leagues, they were ranked in the top 50 um of all of baseball relative to prospects. Um, and they’re going to have to find some more pop in in this lineup. The offense didn’t get it done. And you’ve got Gavin Williams, Tanner Bbeby, and Slates Con. That’s pretty good top of the rotation. Uh, the offense has to be better and it’ll be interesting to see. You know, they’re not going to go out and sign a huge free agent. So, it’ll be small moves where you try to get guys that hit for

50 million more in payroll would put us at 110mill and thats still 15million short of not asking much and Donavan is LH cut jones noel and the "kids " who are always injured should not have open road and its their spot to lose also the 45 middle infielders pick 3 and stick with them juggling them around is a joke
