NHL Highlights | Bruins vs. Islanders – November 26, 2025
Seattle have only allowed four goals in their last four games. So solid defensive work of late for the New York Islanders underway. Our puck draw presented by Vanda Pharmaceutical. Shabanov will touch it. Richie will skate it. Richie throws the brakes on. Takes a look. Forced it down the board. Shabana. Little head fake on Tanner Jano in front. Deflected by Castellick. The pass was intended for Richie. The puck still wound up. Donovan Asperone settles it down and plays it to his partner Zadorov. That pass fired down the ice out of the reach of Blume Mel. It’s an icing call against the Bruins had it and lost it after a setup by Matt Barcel. The Bruins playing with it in front of their own net. They turn it over. Barcel to the net and Anders Lee got a stick on that as he was battling with Sedor off in tight. Blue the red line tried to dump it in. It was clubed down by Schaefer and here he goes with Barcel. Schaefer driving. Barcel cruising east west. Now it’s Lee out high. Schaefer takes a look. Beats D’Angelo over Barcel. He’s open. Darks to the inside. He tucked it home. Oh, Matt Barzel on bobblehead night. Burries one. Not even 5 minutes in. An excellent job by everyone in blue coming back. You got five jerseys all stuck together in transition. That’s the name of the game for Matthew Schaefer. We talked about entries in the early going. Brandon, how about that from number 13 as this thing gets worked around. Great vision by Tony D’Angelo and a dance from Barcel on a night that you needed to start things early. A night after he got shut out in regulation. How’s this for a start? Cal, what a This one took a hop right out there for Steve to swat it behind the net. ACman and Mayfield came in, got the puck to the line, not across it. Aspero shot. Snap the stick of Cyclico. They work it to the net and they score. Alex Steves taps it in from the crease and the first shot for the Boston Bruins goes in just a minute and 42 seconds after the Islanders had taken the lead for the New York Islanders. And it starts coming right off the wall. This thing somehow ends up in the middle. But watch the stick of Ciplov breaking in front as Boquist is looking to sort out trying to play with his skate. goes off his skate and ends up going right to Steves who’s got the pedigree Brendan of a goal scorer in the American Hockey League. They’re looking for that from him. Here is a Boston Bruin and that’s about as easy as it gets. And Brillia Sroken the easiest way to start the game on a Jafer hands to Barzel and those two head north. Barcel gain the line right down the middle. Snapped it off the end wall picked up by Lee. Tried it from a tough angle. Lee Drew D’Angelo fires one. caught across the body of Swayman. Handled here by Zaka and a Yokihario a little bit of room. Astronaut hands off for Zaka just on side. Pavle Zaka met there by Schaefer and Lee. Zikas shoved down to the ice by Hampus Lynholm. Duclar and Zikas try to walk off the wall. Boquist slides it to Mayfield. The wrist are gloved and held by Jeremy Swayman. Murray closing in. Paul Murray around the outside. Taking a look. Deon changes. Both fist off the bench for Mayfield. Goes to the goal. That one in and out of the glove of Swayman. What a team coming back from out west. Maybe things start to show here. If Boston’s tiring, the Islanders find themselves. Richie just thrown into the spoke B on the jersey and they have fallen all the way down to last in the NHL in power play percentage. Simplicity might be what you’re calling for here on the entry, which actually hasn’t been the reason for their lack of success so far. But you burn time and you take your team and the crowd out of it with poor entry. See if can fix that here. Barzel to Horvath. Pressure came from Asperoers fighting for the puck again. They got it to Schaefer. Wine shoots. Save made on a low shot. Schaefer no doubt looking for that puck. Exactly halfway through the power play. Islanders get the second unit on the ice and they win the face off and go to work in the slot. Hean a sneaky little backhander turned away by Swayman. pass to the slot taken by Frasier Mitten and the Bruins will carry the puck into the offensive zone as a penalty coming to a close and a shot had to be stopped by Siroken short-handed now back out on the side no goal on two shots during that power play dumped in by Peak and Sroen out to handle shots though are nine to three in the Islanders favor Bruins scored on their very first shot of the Oscar forces this puck in. Elias Lynholm pushed up against the glass there. The puck still in that pile. I like the idea. Mate Blue Mel was on the ice and turned the puck over which led to Matt Barzell’s goal. He went to the bench after that. This puck wound up in a good spot. Then he went down the tunnel. Has not been seen since. And the Bruins have already now seized done for the night. So one forward short, lower body injury for Mate Bluml. And the Boston Bruins will play with 11 forwards the rest of the way. We’re in it. Let’s stay there. Yeah, but still a long way to go. Here’s Schaer. Kicks it to Holstrom. Holstrom shot. Lew was behind him and swept away. Swayman has it somehow underneath him. If the Oers can kill it the rest of the way. Post with the puck. fired it on goal. Big rebound off the pad of Siroken. Always blown away the ability to come in not just do your job, but fit in with a new group of guys nearly every year, every two years. He’s got the personality for it. Neil Heinman steps out onto the ice and the back at full strength after having kill one second of a penalty to start this period. And Bo Horvat, Kyle, Paul Murray, and Heinman are on the ice with him as Pelick and Castle were after that puck. Just a hint about our trivia question. I wonder if Cal Clutterbuck knows the answer. He played in the game. Okay, so there’s a little hint. I I I’m leaning towards one goalender, but I I really have to make sure here. Zorov with a knuckle puck that was tipped on the way and went off the glass. Mark Castellic plays it to Zidorov again. Dorov works away from Bo Horvac on goal save made. Rebound kicked around. Found its way on the stick of Jano and he scores. That one just pinalled around in the slot and Tanner Jano makes no mistake. Top corner 2-1 Boston. The Islanders were in good shape to have this thing started, but you get a lot of guys skating by going in the wrong direction. Not really stopping and starting. You can see Boston gets this thing going. It’s a point shot. A nice move at the point to get that thing on net. And okay, you got Heineman trying to kick at it and got a couple guys going the other way and it’s Jano that ends up finding it right here and makes no mistake. I mean that’s a a nice relief. Druan slowed it up. Ryan Pock will take the puck. Barcel’s pass. Druan out high. Takes a look. Takes a shot. Rebound there. Lee battling puck underneath him. Penalty upcoming here. Barcel towards Paul Murray. That one was tipped away from him. He recovers to hold it in. Paul Murray driving it. kicks off for Barcel looking, shooting, rebound, saved by Swayman on the drive from Paul Murray and the Bruins clear it. Power play for the Islanders who scored five power play goals in the first six games of the season. They have five power play goals in their last 17 plus. Swaming around the boards lid home for Yoki Haru, the one who came out of the penalty box. And Yoki Haru gets right on in. for a long range shot off the blocker of Siroken as the Bruins go for a change and Jano finishes check on Heinman Pel for Pock has Shavongh going on the left side didn’t get it to him pull the tow drag the shot and blocked away by Swayman there’s Pel coming down the wall he got dumped by Pete Richie for D’Angelo loads it up wrist that sticks on the pads of Swayman and he covers flipped down to Horvak lot of zone time here for the Islanders Everyone a minute and a half for more on Boston. Corvette Pel backhand kicked down by Swayman. The Bruins clear. Turn this thing up if you’re D’Angelo right away. That’s three Bruins off for a change. You still got a tired deep pair. Fresh group for the Islanders. See if he can take momentum back in this hockey game. Not looking like it’ll be just glanced off of Swaming on the way through. Richie now for Boowquist. Boquist a snap shot from long range with no traffic game and the Islanders 0 for three on the power play which is becoming a problem for this team that has sunk down in the bottom of the power play rankings. Well, that’s going to be a storyline Brandon if if things don’t pick up in the form of uh some nice speed and intention here from the Islanders, but you got a minute left here. This is big. Oh, Mary to Schaefer. Schaefer didn’t get a lot of that pass and now it’s a twoon-one for Boston. Short-handed Steves and Mitten. Frasier Mitten drags made the pass across and they score. Alex Steves second of the game. Comes short-handed on a twoon-one break with Frasier Mitten. Still a minute on this power play, but up top we have hardly set this all here. A little mistake by Matthew Schaefer. And the twoon-one goes. I I thought he was going to get the slide just with the stick, but what a play from Fraser Mitten. I mean, this is a guy that the Toronto Maple Leafs reluctantly gave up. He was part of a big hall and skill on full display in Steve. He’s a smart hockey player and what a big night for him. You talk about the opportunity he has and Siroken who’s pretty much only seen a point shot since again here on the day before Thanksgiving. The final score 3 to one behind 39 saves from Jeremy Swayman. Well, Britain, if you looked at the box score,
Alex Steeves scored his second and third goals of the season, Jeremy Swayman turned away 40 shots on the night, and the Boston Bruins took a 3-1 win over the NewYork Islanders.

Thank you Leafs for Steeves and especially Minten
The “Lunchpail” Bruins Are Back! Watch Out NHL.
That shorthanded goal was nice.
I'd like to thank the maples leafs for this one. This ones for Steve Dangle!
Great game by Swayman
Bruins fans better highlights videos are available from Bruins and NESN YouTube channels!
barzal is one of my favourite players he should be on team canada
You should also show replays of great goaltending saves! That was the reason the Bruins won.
The Bruins manage a win thanks to goaltending and a little luck
9:10 #14 for NYI doggin on the 2 on 1 goal.
Hate that I can't see any of my New England teams on a regular basis 😤 😢
Islander suck, especially on the power play, they even gave up a short-handed goal, Barzal isn't a smart player, he tries to act like a quarterback who throws a lot of interceptions.
Zadorov is having a solid season, he does many things well. Leader.
