Chiefs get GOOD NEWS at the perfect time for Cowboys game!
So, the Chiefs got some good news at the perfect time just prior to the Cowboys game. But I also have some questions. For starters, a very key offensive piece that we were worried about should play, although I have no idea if he’ll get a full snap count or not, but that will help exploit a huge weakness of the Cowboys defense. Then, we might have some shuffling along the offensive line, maybe after a pretty surprising elevation happened from the practice squad. So, I’ll talk about that along with some keys to victory, look at the final injury report, give a score prediction, and more. But first, how about those? All right, so tomorrow on Thanksgiving at 3:30 p.m. Central, the Chiefs are going to be taking on the Cowboys in Dallas. A game that I legitimately think might break the record for the most viewed regular season game in NFL history. The viewership record was set three years ago on Thanksgiving when the Giants and Cowboys squared off. That drew 42 million viewers. So, I think the Chiefs and Cowboys could do more than that because you have the Texas native Patrick Mahomes playing for the first time in Dallas against a very highpowered Cowboys offense in a game that’s basically a playoff level of importance for both teams. It is going to break the viewership record in my opinion. And before I get more into this matchup, the last time these two teams played, it’s the only time they’ve played in the Momes era and it was back in 2021 at Arrowhead. It’s two different teams for sure, but it was Dak and Mahomes playing. Mahomes had 260 yards on the day and one pick. Meanwhile, Dak had 216 yards and two picks, but also lost a fumble on a strip sack. In fact, pressure was a big key in that game with Dak getting sacked five times. Kelsey and Hill led the room through the air. Meanwhile, both of Casey’s touchdowns came on the ground in the first half. one from C and the other was from Travis Kelce via basically the same exact play that he had a rushing touchdown on against the Colts. It got called back due to the penalty on Jawan Taylor. I know, but it was still the same exact play out of Wildcat. Faked a handoff, ran up the middle for the touchdown. Legerious Sneeed ended up sealing that game with an INT at the end to give the Chiefs a 19-9 victory. This time it’s in Dallas though against a very explosive offense with one of, if not the current best wide receiver duo in the NFL right now. The Cowboys, they’re 55 and one. The Chiefs are six and five. So both teams need this W and are coming off of awesome wins in which they were trailing against tough opponents. And the vibes are high right now for both of these organizations. We know the Chiefs just had an 11-point fourth quarter comeback and overtime win against the Colts, one of the most high-powered offenses in football and a very talented opponent in their own right. Well, the Cowboys were trailing the defending Super Bowl champs, the Eagles, 21 to nothing and came back to win 24 to 21 in a pretty wild and very entertaining game that went down to the end just like the Chiefs game. So, yeah, with both teams still very much in the playoff hunt, a loss will hurt them. It won’t ruin or eliminate their chances of making the playoffs, but every game matters really from here on out. Both are currently the 10th seed in their respective conferences. And basically, you lose this game, you’re going to have to win out. Things were looking rough for the Cowboys early in November. They were like three and five and one, I think, at the time. They also had two straight losses to Denver. They got whooped. And they also lost to the Arizona Cardinals, but they hit their buy right around the NFL trade deadline. Made some moves. They traded for Bengals linebacker Logan Wilson, but most importantly, Quinnon Williams, defensive tackle Quinnon Williams from the Jets, and that’s been a big boost to that Dline. Since their by-week, they’ve rattled off two straight wins against the Raiders, Woo, and the Eagles. That’s also part of the reason why their defense has looked better as of late, especially against the run. The Raiders are 31st in the NFL in rushing yards per game. And believe it or not, but the Eagles are 21st. So, yes, the addition of Quinnon Williams definitely helps their interior both against the run and getting after the quarterback, but the Raiders help inflate every single team’s recent stats. Quinnon Williams, Kenny Clark, andor Osa Adigi Wooa, those are the key guys for me to watch in this game. Quinnon Williams alone has had 15 pressures in two games and a career-high eight pressures just last week against the Eagles. And that’s not to slight their defensive ends, Donovan Esaku and Javon Clowney, very talented in their own right off the edge. But I feel like those two going up against Jawan Taylor and Josh Simmons. That should be fine. The real battle for me is going to be along the interior because the three defensive tackles are all talented. Meanwhile, Trey Smith is out and it’s most likely Mike Caliendo and at right guard. Cali is by far the weakest link along the line both in run blocking and in pass protection. I’ll talk about this in a minute because the Chiefs made a couple of elevations that has some fans wondering if there will be additional shifts to the O line. But regardless, if I’m the Cowboys, I’m going to try to exploit that matchup on every single play if it is indeed Mike Caliendo out there. The Cowboys defense is absolutely better now than earlier on in the season because on top of Quinnon Williams now suiting up for them, linebacker DeMarian Overshon is back from injury as is cornerback Siobhan Revel Jr., safeties Malik Hooker and Donovan Wilson. Hooker is one of their better coverage guys that is now back. But honestly, even with the names that I just mentioned, with all due respect, their passing defense is a definite weakness. And coming up next, I’ll explain why I think that will be the key area along with a couple others that the Chiefs will need to exploit. And that’s ultimately going to help them win this game. But first, there’s still time to get out to a game at Arrowhead Stadium to watch the Chiefs play. It is one of the greatest experiences in all the world. And that’s why I got to give the sponsor of today’s video, SeatGeek, a huge shout out because, of course, that’s where I get my tickets. They are the number one rated ticketing app for a reason, after all, with over 35 million downloads and more than 70,000 events listed on their site and app. Honestly, I love their app. It’s super easy to use and prefer it over the site. But regardless, SeatGeek’s going to have everything you need on there. Sports, that’s a big one. Obviously, you’ve got the NFL and college football in full swing, plus the NBA all the way back in action. However, there’s also concerts, comedians, festivals. Basically, you name it, it’s most likely on there for you on SeatGeek. They have your back as well, with each ticket being rated on a scale of 1 to 10, so you know you’re getting a good deal. Just look for the green dots, okay? Green means good, red means bad. It also helps that every ticket is backed by their buyer guarantee. And of course, I got a code for you guys. Just use my code HBTC10 for 10% off your next set of tickets on SeatGeek. That’s 10% off with promo code HBTC10 when you buy tickets on the SeatGeek app. Make sure you click the link in the description to download the app and have the code automatically added to your account so you can use it later. Thanks again, SeatGeek. Okay, so if the Chief’s motto on offense is everybody got to eat, the motto of Dallas’s secondary is definitely everybody’s allowed to eat. They allow the third most passing yards per game, the third most passing yards per play, and as a whole, they give up the second most points per game, 28 and a half, the fourth most yards per game, are dead last on third down, and also 30th in touchdowns allowed in the red zone. So, yeah, the defense is absolutely better with the players that I mentioned a bit ago, but they still aren’t great, even against the run on the season. They are 24th in yards per rush allowed. So, I would love to see the Chiefs establish a bit more of a run game in this one, like last week. I don’t know if you’re going to run 30 times with Kareem Hunt or anything crazy because Isaiah Pacheco will be back for the first time in nearly a month to help with that. I think it is a needed addition in the backfield. They clearly don’t trust Bashard Smith to get a lot of looks. Elijah Mitchell has been a healthy scratch. Not sure what to do with him. And they did not elevate Clyde Edwards Elair for this game. I’ll talk about the elevations in a minute. But considering the fact that again Kareem Hunt just had a career-high 30 carries, Pacheco helping carry the workload a bit in this one is probably for the better. However, my confidence level still isn’t as high in Casey’s run game being ultra effective with Trey Smith out. So, we’ll see what ends up happening there. Maybe they can utilize Bashard Smith a bit more on the outside. Quick passing game is also an extension of the run game. Just if you’re going to run, please limit the RPOS’s. Teams do not care about the RPOS’s anymore. Either way, one of the biggest keys in this game for me is definitely Patrick Mahomes airing it out against their struggling secondary. Now, I said something similar for the Bills game. Hey, Bills are banged up in the secondary. They’re not great. But Patrick Mahomes and the group of pass catchers struggled in that one. They trailed a lot of the game, but barely ran the ball. So, establish the run and let’s build off of that. Plus, their defensive coordinator, Matt Iberluse, he loves zone coverage. He plays zone coverage, third most in the NFL and is 30th in man coverage snaps in the league. And the Chiefs are by far better against zone coverage by a wide margin compared to man. So if Ebloose wants to go ahead and do that, Rashi Rice, Travis Kelce, and Juju Smith are absolutely going to feast. I assume Eberfloose will try to call more man coverage in this one than usual, but probably not enough. And even when Indie ran man coverage on 40.8% 8% of their coverage snaps. Mahomes and those pass catchers eventually started feasting late in the game. Especially speaking of Rice, he’s on the injury report with the hamstring, but has no injury designation. So, he will play as is everybody on the injury report aside from the three that I’m about to mention. But my question is, how is Rice actually going to look out there? And will he get a full workload if indeed he is dealing with a hamstring rather than cramping? He was seen with a leg sleeve out at practice yesterday jogging around, but it’s impossible to really know if Rice can’t go. Guju can certainly fill in, especially against zone coverage, though of course he’s not nearly as dynamic as Rashi Rice. The other injuries to note are Trey Smith. He’s out with the ankle. We knew that one already. But also Noah Gray, he’s out with the concussion. And Chris Roland Wallace back. He’s been ruled out as well. Then they also made two practice squad elevations on top of that. Safety Mike Edwards and offensive tackle Essa Polle are both up for this one. You can elevate somebody and not activate them. So it doesn’t mean for sure they are going to play. But both of these are intriguing. Mike Edwards, he’s for safety depth with Roland Wallace out. But Esa Pole, he’s surprising considering Wan Morris, he’s also a tackle and is on the 53man roster. Matt Derek of Chiefs Digest pointed out though that Wany was a healthy scratch last week. So my question is, my thoughts are, do they activate Ple over one? And if so, some think there’s a chance Jaylen Moore could potentially play guard rather than Mike Caliendo, which would then make Essa Ple the swing tackle in case of injury for this game. I don’t know, man. Caliendo, yeah, he hasn’t been playing great, but Jaylen Moore has very little to almost no experience at guard unless it was like high school. He barely played any guard at all in college. And yeah, he practiced as a guard a little bit during training camp, but that’s it. So, I personally think Mike Caliendo is up. Either way, the Essa Pole elevation is one to keep eyes on, and I’m curious to see what they end up doing there. Then, with Noah Gray out, that means we will probably see more work from tight end Robert Tonion. But also could see Jared Wy, their fourth round draft pick from last year, activated for the first time all season. He tore his ACL late in the season, so we’ll see how he looks out there or if he even gets any work in, even if active. I am personally excited to see a little bit more from big Bob Tonion myself. And with Roland Wallace out, I’m not sure what the rotation in the secondary is going to look like because CRW was playing quite a bit out of the slot the last two weeks. Maybe the rookie null Williams sees the field a bit more for the first time in a couple of weeks because of the outside threat that is Sidi Lamb and George Pickkins. Although CD can play in the slot as well. There’s also Christian Fulton. He’s been up and down since recently returning to play and this week will not be an easy task for whoever it is that steps out onto the football field. More on the defense in a moment. But here’s a pretty big key for me in this one. With the red zone defense of Dallas being one of the worst in the NFL, if the Chiefs want to win this game, they must be better than scoring touchdowns only 20% of the time inside the 20. They are two for 10 in the red area over the last two weeks. And with the Cowboys offense averaging the most yards per game and fourth most points per game, touchdowns are a must in this one. A caveat to the two for 10 in the red zone thing over the last two weeks. Denver, they had the best red zone defense in the NFL. So, take that for what it’s worth. But then last week, one of those red zone trips for the Chiefs was actually in overtime, and they intentionally wanted to kick the game-winning field goal. Either way, eliminating the penalties down in that area is going to be a huge factor because you could argue that at least two touchdowns, maybe three were taken off the board over the last two games after either a penalty happened to negate a touchdown entirely or a penalty moved them back from having a potential goal line attempt. Something else to monitor is going to be Patrick Mahomes. He was seen favoring his leg late in the game. Popped up on the injury report this week with a groin injury. He has no injury designation or anything like that, but it’s just something to keep eyes on. Will that affect his mobility? Will he be running around like he normally does? How does that look? Mahomes did say to the media yesterday that he tweaked it a bit on the first run up the right sideline, then ran again near the goal line and was feeling it a little bit after that, but this is football. Injuries, tweaks, they all happen. What you do is you get worked on, you get back out to practice, and you go out there and you play again. So, I’m sure he will be fine, but again, something to keep eyes on and keep note on. Then the Cowboys, they had several other players, including George Pickkins on their injury report, but they only have one person listed as out, which I’ll talk about here in a minute. Everybody else that you can see up here on screen, they’re all good to go. It’s just on these short weeks, will these players actually be 100% out there? The answer is probably not. That includes some of the Chiefs players. So, we’ll have to keep eyes on that as the game itself goes along. Now, the Cowboys offense is certainly problematic regardless of who’s out there for the Chief secondary because Dak Prescott has been playing at a very high level. His stats are very close to the same stats as Patrick Mahomes from attempts, completions, yards, touchdowns, and interceptions, except Prescott has five or six more touchdowns than Mahomes. So, he’s playing at a very high level. George Pickkins has been going nuclear. And Javvante Williams, their running back, he’s top five on the year in rushing yards. Pickkins is arguably the team’s greatest weapon though. He’s second in receiving yards in the NFL, only behind Jackson Smith and Jigba. And then he’s third in receiving touchdowns, only behind Almanra St. Brown and Devonte Adams. CD Lamb is surprisingly is kind of their wide receiver too from a production standpoint, but he missed a few games this season earlier on with an ankle injury and then he is tied first in the league with eight drops. That has hindered his production a little bit as well. Either way, Cid Lamb is a dog and I kind of look at Pickkins and Sidi as wide receiver 1A and wide receiver 1B. I don’t really care who you think it is. They are both absolutely fantastic. And that’s something I’m hoping for with CD Lamb is going to take place in this game. Some drops. The Chiefs take away Pickkins as much as they can with McDuffy or by double teaming or bracketing him. And that will of course give CD more opportunities, but I need him to drop a couple key passes that are thrown his way. Please. Either way, you can’t double both of these guys. And then, of course, tight end Jake Ferguson. He’s no slouch either and is very effective in his own right. Something the Chief’s defense has struggled with all year long is play action against offenses that can run the ball. Well, even Indie had success there when they ran play action. They completed nine of 13 attempts for 117 yards and three first downs. And the thing is, Dallas runs play action at the fifth highest rate of any offense. And Dak, well, he has the highest completion rate in the league off of play action at 81.4%. He’s also fifth in yards off of play action and second in touchdowns. 13 touchdowns, two zero interceptions. Yeah, that’s a little concerning to say the least. And I know that the Chiefs did a good job of stifling the Colts offense. And while Javvante Williams isn’t Jonathan Taylor, he’s still very solid. And then Daniel Jones is no Dak Prescott. Prescott is playing the quarterback position at a much higher level than Daniel Jones right now. One potential area of concern for Dallas is their left tackle. He’s the only one that was ruled out. It’s with an ankle injury kind of like Trey Smith. So, both the Chiefs and the Cowboys are down a starter along their line. And I hope that means the Chiefs defensive front. So, Chris Jones, maybe he lines up on the edge on some passing downs. I don’t really care. Minue, Mike Dana, Car Loftess, just somebody show up and show out in some of these key situations on the backup left tackle and let’s get Dak Prescott down onto the ground like they did in their matchup back in 2021. That’s obviously easier said than done though because Dak has the fourth best pressure to sack percentage in the league, only being brought down 16 times compared to Mahomes’s 24. All in all, this game is not going to be easy. But I think it’ll be won or lost on the shoulder of Patrick Mahomes and their group of pass catchers. They need points in this game to win because like it or not, Dallas is probably going to score more than we would be comfortable with. That’s why if the Chiefs can go up early, keeping these long drives successful, eat the time of possession, clock, all that, and then get seven instead of three in the red zone, then that in turn will limit the opportunities Dak and company will have out there on the field for themselves. And I do like the Chiefs odds of winning this one. and actually have them pulling off the muchneeded W 31 to27. Of course, the O line needs to hold up for Mahomes, especially whoever is filling in for Trey Smith. And then they need to win the turnover battle. Dallas has 14 giveaways on offense compared to the Chiefs eight. So, can you get a takeaway on Dak? He almost threw three or four interceptions last week alone. And as a result, the Cowboys have a neg4 turnover differential. So, that needs to fall in the Chiefs favor tomorrow. and that will definitely help them in this game. Kareem Hunt hadn’t lost a fumble since his rookie year. So, that was a fluke thing in my eyes. Protect the football on the ground. Don’t force a costly int zone through the air like Mahomes has done recently. And then let Patrick Cook inside the domed stadium. He’s 14-1 in his career when playing in domes, racking up 34 touchdowns to only seven interceptions. So, my hope is that continues and he’s actually 15-1 after tomorrow. Regardless, it’s much respect to the Cowboys. They’re a good opponent. It’s not going to be easy here. Even though their record is 55 and one, and Jerry Jones is kind of a guy that we laugh at. Dak’s great. That wide receiver duo great. Javvante Williams is great. And then that Dline is probably going to be a problem. My hope is both teams stay healthy and then the better team ends up being the Chiefs and they get the W. But hey, make sure to let me know your thoughts on this game in the comments down below. Give me your three biggest keys to victory as well as your score prediction. And until next time, let’s go. Let’s freaking go. How about those Z?

Scooter is hilarious
"O-digi-wuza" 😂😂😂 it's zuwa, "o-digi-zoo-wa"
To win we need to burn clock and score touchdowns pressure dak and force turnover on defense. If all that happens chiefs win 37 30
😂. I don’t know why you all suddenly think you’re going to beat the top offense in the league on the road after barely beating the colts at home…
I'll say it again. Who is the better RB Henry or whoever Allas has. That's right Allas.
Chiefs lose 😊
LFG CHIEFS 🫲🏻🪓🫲🏻🪓🫲🏻🪓🫲🏻
Cut Mike Caliando???
Ok, not good enough?
Howz 34-17 chiefs
Let's Go Chiefs Defense Offense Special Team 🏈👍
We just need to stop shooting ourselves in the foot everyone of these game we coulda won if it wasn’t for boneheaded plays so it’s not like we’re trash just tighten up a lil bit and this seasons a different story
It's all written into the script behind closed doors (so to speak)
OVER/UNDER Is 52.5
Spags
1. Minimize the mistakes and execute
2. Score touchdowns on red zone opportunities
3. Make Dak uncomfortable
I'm having trouble getting betting information for this game 🤔
Everything on the line I’m putting money on pat every time
@hbtchiefs what are your underdog pics?
Pacheco is back
Also, our return guys need to stop with the stupid penalties. Our offense would probably do better if they weren't starting from the 10 or 5 yard line every drive.
According to Brugler, Pole has never played any position on the O-line other than LT. Doesn't sound very likely the Coaches would throw him into a situation where he has to learn new tricks under fire.
I think the Chiefs will be competitive if they eliminate the most of the penalties and get some better blocking and coverage on both sides of special teams. We need to stop starting within our own 5 yard line, and ensure Turpin doesn't get any good returns.
Sorry but the chiefs are about to lose
Wow, it's a short week. I hope you guys are up to the task. Go Chiefs!!!!!
God, you're of no importance.
The chiefs need the special teams to block and not get penalized and get great field position
We have to have this one!!! One more step towards making it to the playoffs!
Happy Thanksgiving HBTC gang!!! Hope for good food and good football!!!
Please please please score in the redzone!!!!!
Nohl looked better than Fulton so far. The rookie seems built to play outside in Spags system
It’s going to be another heart attack game but we will pull it out
Let's go chiefs let's get another win 💪🫡
I have a good feeling Chris Jones is going to great game.
Hol up what happened to Jake Bringstool
Isn't Pole bigger than Caliendo? We'll need the size
Need the offense & defense to get started before the 4th quarter! If so we should be good! ♥️
Tell jwann talyor no flags tell everyone no flags tell the refs no yellow laundry
Mcduffie probably not a good match up against Pickens as their height difference is a big deal. Mcduffie probably lines up better on CD than Pickens.
The good news: referee injured in-game expected to be back in time to get the KC Swifties into the playoffs
3 biggest keys: 1. Balance on Offense 2. Creating pressure on Defense 3. Not leaving points on the table (TD's)
Pacheco always looks bad after an injury. All the money they gave Mitchell makes no sense to sit him. Smith is better out of the backfield catching.
The Cowgirls think they're America's team. Not.
Chiefs have that title now.
Let's get that Turkey Trophy!!!
Hbtc!!!
24-17 chiefs
How Bout Those Chiefs??? You stole what Jimmy Johnson created with the Boys….. Wow….
26-23 Chiefs. Gonna be a banger for sure.
Both these teams have high powered offenses, so people assume this is gonna be a high scoring game. This game is going to be won in the trenches!!!! Andy can't get away from the run game. Their defethss been playing better since they made some moves at the trade deadline.. Chiefs need this one! Gotta prove to ourselves we can win on the road!
I think the only thing I would add as something to watch is special teams. Errors in that phase of the ga.e have been incredibly costly for us. In the Indy game our average starting position was something like the 15 yard line. That can't be the case again. Let's freaking go. HBTC
starting to catch on to how bad the refs rig our games, glad to see it. That made up face mask to negate the travis touchdown (when he hand never touched the front of the head at any point, let alone the face mask) was some of the most blatant rigging of this decade, and even tony romo was flabbergasted who loves to defend the refs calls against us.
Score is gonna be 35-17 chiefs
