I wouldn’t piss on Bud Selig’s grave if it was on fire, but Manfred’s way worse than Selig, and he’s gonna be in one day, right next to Pete Rose.

selig enabled the steroid era and profited from it with his election to the hall of fame while riding tv viewership to the bottom. fuck selig.
just a reminder for some young heads: ARod was on roids all through the early 2000s, while on the Rangers when he was earning the MVP award. He failed a test, and later confessed his guilt and said he made some mistakes but was always clean on the Yankees. About a decade later it came to light he had been on several other performance enhancing drugs, including HGH, while on the Yankees. He was suspended for 211 games, reduced to a full season because while the appeal process occurred he was allowed to play. He made a pledge to fight the ruling- saying he was innocent- but in fact did not and was sued by his lawyers because he wasn’t paying them. It came to light a year later that he was questioned by the DEA and admitted to them he was in fact taking everything that he was accused of taking
Hard to take baseball HOF seriously without Sosa, Bonds, McGuire, Clemens, A-Rod, Ramirez, etc in there. Let them in and call it a day.

Bud was a snake oil salesman in Milwaukee. Bought the team so his daughter and son in law had a toy to play with. Competitive play was few and far between.

I’m of the belief that commissioners should not be allowed in the Hall of Fame period.

– Selig who let it all happen is in the hall.
– managers who knowingly managed users and let it happen are in the hall.
– Ortiz failed a drug test and is in the hall
– Piazza admitted to taking andro (same thing Mcgwire took) before it was illegal and is widely rumored and likely to have used otherwise and is in the hall
– multiple other players who cheated in some way is in the hall (corked bats, doctoring baseballs, sign stealing once Beltran gets in next year)
– multiple players who took federally illegal drugs (amphetamines) to gain an advantage is in the hall.

The writers who covered baseball then also made money and didn’t care or question the use of steroids. One of them wrote a book about the 98 HR chase I don’t see him giving that money back.

At this point, the Baseball Hall of Fame should let A-Rod, Barry Bonds, Rodger Clemens and the dozen others that deserve to be in the Hall of fame! Fuck Bud Selig!

Arod didn’t just use steroids though. He used and got caught – while not just denying it, but threatening to sue MLB. Then later got caught again for a second time.
He also sold the A’s into slavery.
I wonder if all these roid users have health issues as they are getting older. I remember Bonds girlfriend Bell at the time testifying that Bonds testicles shrunk substantialy and developed ED after taking roids. Pretty sad considering Bonds would have been a HOF’er anyway. Greed for more $
Aroid should have not used roids. Then maybe he could be on the ballot.
