Indianapolis Colts’ Daniel Jones Explains Fibula Injury
Daniel, I know you pride yourself so much on preparation, the amount of time you put in each week going into this week coming off of the loss at Kansas City. What are the areas of emphasis in particular when you have the opportunity Wednesday, Thursday, Friday to get out there and prepare for a divisional games, critical game at home against Texas? Uh yeah, I think um you know, a lot of the same stuff. I think, you know, looking back at the game from last week, I think, you know, uh we just didn’t didn’t make the plays down the stretch that we needed to that we have and and uh you know, so just got to clean that up. I don’t think that’s one area necessarily. I think kind of across the board we all have to we all have to do better. So, um yeah, but looking forward to this week. It’s a good defense. It’s aggressive. They do a good job rushing the passer. They got good players uh in the secondary and at linebacker. So, um it’ll be a good challenge. Daniel, it’s a fibula injury. We talk about the game report last week, I guess. How did it happen and how you handled it so far? Uh, yeah, it was just something that uh kind of was hanging over and and realized it last week and um yeah, just been trying to to get treatment and and uh make sure I’m in the best spot I can be. Does it seem like it’s something that popped up from the Atlanta game or something? You don’t really know what the um or origination of it was. Yeah, I think it’s just something I felt uh last week and um tough to say exactly when, but uh yeah, something I felt last week I looked at and um been been really good working with the trainers here and and making sure we’re we’re ready to go. Got a good plan. Everyone’s asking, is Daniel Jones okay? Is he okay? Can you assure some of these Colts fans that you’re good to go and you’re fine ready to go? Yeah, I’m good. I’m I’m all good. I’ll be be ready to go on on Sunday. Uh obviously was out there last week. I’m I’m good to go. Daniel, when you every team gives you different issues, problems when you’ve got a team with two really quality pass structures, where’s your attention with game planning? Yeah, I think it’s certainly something you got to uh you got to consider and factor into everything you’re doing and u certainly in the pass game. I think um you know, we have a lot of confidence and trust in our guys up front and our our tackles. Um but you know, I think you watch teams play them regardless of who you got. You know, you try to chip them. You try to help when you can and and um you know, we’ll have a plan on, you know, it’s my job to get the ball on time and make sure I’m going through my progressions. I’m I’m understanding where the ball needs to go and it’s it’s uh out on

Looks like he craps the bed again
He's shitting away a big contract and he's clueless
8-3 y’all are dumb
Starting to not look like a good clutch time player. Prove me wrong
Daniel it’s ok to not look petrified 24/7 dude
Come on Danny u got this bro 🤛 p.s why ur eyes always soo open!? Lol
Best team we've had in a decade for sure. He's got it.
If there’s one thing I learned about DJ is that he thinks a lot. Lol
Downs is open…hit him please!
The O-line needs to hold up. If 4 guys go out – Jones can burn them. If it's 2 guys go out and it's Mo Allie-Cox and Ogletree for protection (and if Jones can't move b/c of injury) – it's going to be tough.
Teams have figured the Colts out. Coach should have a backup plan on a backup plan.
Why’s everyone so quick to give up on qbs! It ain’t all on the qb receivers were dropping balls, running game was no where to be found! He don’t call the plays! If anything this loss is on Steichen he was to scared to go for it on 4th when we absolutely needed to go for it on 4th! Then you have all the bad call penalties against us! Odds were stacked against in the beginning!
i like dj but he really doesnt have that clutch in him and thats perfectly fine, shane just needs to call better down the stretch and get it to JT
Just relax and Win
So that’s it huh? The blueprint to beat us is just to shut down Taylor and blitz. Pathetic bro. STEP IT JONES or you out of here.
