  4. The O-line was a question, GEQBUS had flamed out at the end of the season with the Vikings. People were legitimately high on the D being good. JSN was thought of as just a very talented slot. The Seahawks have gotten the best outcome from a lot of the parts of the team that were seen as questions. Usually you don’t get better when you let go of your #1 WR and starting QB. I’m thrilled with how well everything has gone, but the national media not being that high on the team to start the season is understandable.

  8. Cowherd picked the Hawks as a playoff team in the preseason. He was one of the only ones who did.

  11. The pleasure of this schadenfreude comes not just from the Seahawks being good, but from them succeeding in the exact areas they were written off. lol

  12. I have a decent amount of money on hawks winning nfc west. Made the bet prior to preseason. Just need the rams to (please for the love of god) fall on their face

  13. Cha-ching! The national narrative was that the losses of Geno, DK, and Lockette would be disastrous.

  16. Maybe we should just celebrate the fact that this is one of the only areas where ordinary people are just as smart as the experts. That doesn’t work in science, medicine, engineering and math. But dammit, we know more about our team than Nick Wright!

  19. It usually takes a team to turn around and go to the SB, and no matter what’s going to happen this season, I cant wait until next year. Barring any serious injuries, tge Hawks should be s serious SB contender.

  28. Proud to say this is the first year I have made it out to put some bets on the Hawks down. The day before the season started, the over/under had moved to 8.5 so I am at the precipice now, a win over the Vikings or anyone will secure me my first and largest of four bets. Then we just need to win the division, the NFC championship game, and the Super Bowl!
