CONDENSED GAME: Boston Bruins vs. New York Islanders – 11/26/2025
Live from UBS Arena in Elmont, New York. Welcome to Boston Bruins hockey on Nessen. Tonight, the Bruins close out their four game road trip on Long Island facing off against the New York Islanders. Hello again everybody. Along with Andy Brickley, I’m Jud Serat. Thanks for joining us and on behalf of all of us here at Nessen, we hope you and your family have a terrific Thanksgiving holiday. Brick, tonight the Bruins are going to wrap up one of the toughest trips they’re going to have all season long. And with a victory tonight, they can head home 500 and the turkey will be a little bit tastier tomorrow. Yeah, and you can’t say at the end of the night, Jud, that you played a pretty good game, but didn’t get any points out of it. This is a game where they got to take points. They got to cut down on the penalties and finish some scoring chances. Heading into tonight’s action, the Bruins are smack in the middle of the standings in the Atlantic Division. They own the last wildcard spot in the Eastern Conference, but Brickett is so tightly packed that if you go on a run or you have a slide, it makes a dramatic effect. Yeah, just as the New York Island is seven and two in their last nine. They’ve been able to climb in the standings and that’s really with the where the Bruins find themselves. You want a little winning streak here, but you’re right. You know, where are you come Thanksgiving? If you believe in the statistics that you’re going to be a playoff team in all probability, if you’re there this time of year, the Bruins are right there. Lots to play for tonight. You certainly want to bounce back after that loss to San Jose. You were only two points out of first place where Tampa holds for 28 points. Yes, everybody has game in hand, but it’s all about points right now. The Boston Bruins, they want to finish this trip 500. It had to be one of their goals again. Some really nice play at times on this trip, but they need a victory tonight no matter what it looks like for the next six months. That’s a key piece of the back end as Mary shoots and swam the save. There’s a rebound available. Damage against the Bruins in his career and he’s going to get a pretty good opportunity here and almost doesn’t self puck is free. They have three floor checkers in behind the goal line and it pays off this time. Valer’s going to go from the opposite side. That puck gets free. Got it turned over at the blue line with the Bruins changing now. Barcel up top. Dropped to the near side. Lee Schaer swings far side. Swing it over the square off. It’s tucked in. They score. Untangled by Matthew Barcel. One of the you can’t turn the P over in the offensive blue line when you have full possession. He’s trying to get this to establish a check. You turn the puck over there and I know it’s not his intention, but that’s what happens. Now you’re in trouble. The counterattack, the pop possession, D’Angelo self shot. That’s a nice play off his right hip. Barcel gets open. You’re lost in coverage because of the turnover on ice. And here’s Barcel right around right around swinging a t. He was in a skirmish in the last game with Matthew Schaer. Here we go. Let’s go. Alex Ste in front took that rebound and stops it all my response by the Bruins only the game they certainly won. You want to go home 500 on this road trip. You give up the early goal for the turnover the offensive blue line, but then your line is going to go up huge. Islanders mismanage the play. Broken stick out high on the defending Islanders, but that’s not really the reason for the goal. It was a heads up play. He wants to corral. Corell just wants to get into the paint. He’s not trying to score in there. No sneech is there. Just getting somewhere in the table. He’s able to do it again. Horvath was able to intercept. Can’t get it back up top now. Schaffer. Here it comes. Swim with the save. Dropped it and then covered up. Aspect the length of the ice. He’s got a T1 look at it from behind DAngelo. He’ll swing one out to center ice. Holtram will send it back into his own zone. And now wheeling in a Schaffer. He’ll drop and drive and set out on Sweden. Get behind the Bruce. tuck it in under his pads as he lays down in the blue paint. The Islanders are able to beat the 122 in the neutral zone and pretty easily in fact and it leads to a pretty good opportunity off this rush. They gain the blue line. They push the puck wide to the top of the circle coming down the wing. The shot’s going to break through swing, but limo on his fly locates the touch right back. Castler going to work. Sedora turns around to check shoots. Sroken kicks out a big rebound in the slash and oh, he’s scor. Oh no one off the post in Bruins two Islanders one down this line again John doing what they do best and it all started with a turnover back in the neutral zone that the Catholic created and Mitten corral it now you get in the offensive zone they play the low high game it’s a nice little self pass down the wall by Zidora and then ps to the net bodies to the net ps to the net you got castic there you got Jano there the puck finds M who just kind of shovels in the direction comes. Give and go. Marcel now Schaer gets it through. Swing the save and swing with the second stop and this puck is ried around and out. They needed that clear a long time in their own zone one. Here’s Joan tracel to the ruins close and down goes that chance. Barcel Druan Pull dripped one that hit his own guy in front set out front swing with the stop and then he got the rebound chance on Lee and covers up for the and they will get a change. Oh, what a check out spun around and down. Headman pass scooped up by Steves. He’ll drive it in. Sroken stops at eight shots from Ginski. Nearly a tuck by Ael in front. This puck is trickling around and finally coraled by Sro. Nice job getting that puck made by Steve. He made the play on the wall in order to maintain possession. And then a good force by both ACL. They turn the puck over and AC wraparound. Good pressure. It looked like uh Steve got a second chance opportunity as he’s the third forward cruising in get away Marcel far circle shoot it off a huge shot and over the glass it goes and Pete was disgusted but Swayman able to bail him out and the slot picked off twoon one here Steve McMitten Mitten left circle pull track to the score. How about the pull track and then the finish by Eric Ste. He’s got two tonight and the Bruins first shortanded goal of the year. Bruins three first of the year and it is a beauty. What a great play all the way around. It looked like the Wolves might be in trouble when Mido committed the defense and zone trying to get to the puck, but then they disrupt Schaer’s pass and it’s a steal by Steve and Steve moves the puck at the right time in the allows to set the play. They attack Schaper little toe ground. Now he’s got nothing but ice. He slides across a perfect one. on Schaefer. Corvette Schaer fires swing to the glass save and he holds making this a little bit hotter than you’d like. They had two opportunities to clear the defensive zone. Both failed forcing have to defend the entire ship deep in their own zone. Couple of close plays in around the blue paint. Swing was able to handle bat away and he’s going to get the last one from long distance shot able to get with the glove. Now Horvat shoots swing the save rebound Lee denied and Sway covers this up and we got a pile up in front of the blue painting real strong all the way to the end here. You know, the roads are doing a nice job. You know, digging deep. It’s a long road trip. Time zones. Takes a lot out of a lot of the boys and it’s a nice day to recover here on long island. They had a lot of play tonight, which they’ve been able to do. Just 25 seconds left. The two goal lead. So, they’ve been digging deep. You can you can see the fatigue, but Sway has been strong right from the very end. Looks start saying this morning he’s been so good he’s been hard to take out that’s why I wanted him back in tonight off the draw the Bruins bump it ahead it’s wristed off a glove all the way down 15 seconds remaining against Steve the head chopped over to the near side here’s Paul Mary brought in by Dru flipped out in front off that bouncer with five back of the net Paul Mary his centering Pete ever gets the ball or back. Oh, the turkey is going to taste even better tomorrow. And Jeremy Swimman, he’s going to deserve seconds for the way he played tonight. Absolutely brilliant. He stopped 39 of 40. Alex Steves with his first career two-goal game, which included a key short-handed goal in the third period. And the Bruins are heading home after a long trip at 500.

Nice win by the B's to end a long road trip. Swayman is a rock between the pipes.
O Bruinzão venceu de novo o Isles ⚫🟠🐻🏒 LET'S GO BRUINS
Why does it sound like they play in a tunnel?
Always trade with the Leafs! Always trade with the Leafs!
Swayman is the man so glad we kept him!!!😊
Great win and great job by goalie, but the rest of the team being out shot at some point 3:1, constant penalties, just one power play, more than 4 minutes of empty net but zero goals – empty netters draught continuing. Short handed goal was good – at least 1 this season!
Just 14 shots, 40:14 out shot. Draught of empty netters! Just first short handed goal!
The play by play guy is better off unseen.
Nice to get 2 points without getting anything from the first two lines. Swayman was fantastic. Go Bruins!
Steeves is rocking! Great shot block at Kings and now this!
B U L L D A W G !
14 shots on goal in 60 minutes is not good. The Btuins must generate more offensive chances. You are going to lose a lot more games than you will win with only 14 SOG.
Wow! The Bs actually scored a shortie instead of giving one up! Finally!
14 to 40 shots on goal and left with the victory!!!!
The audio is awful
