1. ​​i hate to be the bearer of bad news… the mets arent winning the WS in 26… you dont punt.. you resign pete, diaz, tyler rogers.. trade for durran and call it good… i personally would also sign framber valdez.. but what cease just got..he might not be worth the cost.. we also need 2 more consistent relievers

2. I value Baty higher than you guys apparently. Bregman who everyone wants made 40mm last year and had a 3.6 war. baty made under 1mm and had a 3.1 war. in the second half he hit 291 with 9 hr and 30 runs scored, 353 on base and 829 ops and played solid defense.

3. Bellingers stats were HUGELY inflated playing as a lefty power hitter at yankee stadium last year. He had a 365 on base and 909 ops at home and only a 300 on base and 715 ops on the road. he had a 5.1 war which was mostly due to yankee stadium bloated stats. He is a perfect fit for the yankees and a big mistake for the mets. People are talking about giving bellinger a 6 year 200mm contract to play for the mets and think that wouldl be a good idea. thats 34mm a year for solid defensive flexibilty and inconsistant offense. Bellingers 5 year war is -1.6, 1.3, 4.8, 2.2 and 5.1. thats an average war of 2.36… For comparison jeff mcneils 5 year war is 1.4, 5.9, 2.4, 1.6 and 2.0… thats a 2.7 5 year ave war… if jeff mcneil was 30 would you sign him to a 6yr 200mm contract? everone in the media thinks mcneil has to go.. that hes overpaid at 16mm and that he cant hit… he has an over 1.4 war every year and we hate him. Tucker on the other hand won a gold glove in 22(although his speed and range isnt good), will be 29, has a 5 year average war of 5.0 and his low war of 4.6. Two completely different players. Tucker is a huge fit for NY… bellinger is a huge mistake for mets.

4. Trading for Jarren Duran is the top move to make. his war is higher than tucker for the last 2 years, can play CF and is under control for 3 years with under 8mm salary in arb.

5. juan soto at yankee stadium vs bellinger at yankee stadium is not a good comparison. Soto has raked consistently where ever he has played.bellinger was unplayable for 2 years in LA and his 2nd year in chi was only a 2.2 war player. if bellinger played all his games on the road he would be a 2 war player again…for 25-35mm and 6 years
