Ah-SKAR-ov (and his WEAK GLOVE-SIDE) really got exposed, tonight.
VAN just humbled the first place Anaheim Mighty FUX of Anaheim.
I expect, this Friday, we shall witness a similar result.
'Twas nice to see Mr. Burns (still) registering Quality Minutes.
Colorado looks 'unstoppable'.
That one was rough, but if we were going to lose like that, at least it was to the best team in the league. We'll bounce back on Friday.
1 real loss in 23 games,(AVS are 17-1-5 actually)& on pace for 139 pts.,10 straight wins,& 12-0-2 in last 14. 1st in offense,& defense,& +44 in goal differential. #2 is Dallas at +16. ENTIRE EASTERN CONFERENCE PLAYOFF FIELD RIGHT NOW IS COMBINED+45! Still quasi early but I work at Ball arena,& I cant believe what we are seeing on a nightly basis right now. Nuggets core has won a title, are 13-4,& a true contender-when healthy might be 2nd best NBA team. But comparatively they aren't even in AVS galaxy right now. AVS are arguably dominating the NHL EVEN MORE than OKC is NBA-or at least as much. Long way to go,so much can change (injuries,Olympics & trade deadline) & I don't expect theyll smash the NHL pts record. And playoffs are different animal-but so far they are most dominant Colorado sports team I've seen in my 49 yrs.
But Sharks are coming-I don't think they are a playoff team this yr but starting next yr- look out. You are probably Anaheim last year or so-alot of young teams are good at home,& much worse on the road in every sport. But Celebrini is a future Hart winner, Smith,& Eklund have bright futures,& you have some other talented young skaters. And I truly believe Askarov is a future Vezina finalist type goalie. Your day is coming but like I told a few Sharks fans tonight-NOT SO FAST-NOT YET BOYS! I think the AVS did want to send a message after that earlier game we dominated processwise but Askarov absolutely stole 2 pts -the last game we didn't win actually. But nobody in the NHL could've even hung with the AVS tonight they were so locked in.
