Will the A’s be just another VEGAS RESORT? #mlb #baseball #sports

So, the Golden Knights and Raiders are two different things. It feels like the A’s being who they are, being who they’ve been, predicted to be how they’ve been, are much more like the Raiders, and that’s not a healthy thing. No home field advantage, no local fan base. You show me a lot of Raider fans in Las Vegas, like Las Vegas residents who are Raider fans and show up for the stadium. They buy tickets and then they turn them around. That’s so different than the Raiders existence in Los Angeles or their existence in Oakland. It was easy to find a Raider fan. I don’t feel like that’s the same way in Las Vegas. How will the A’s fare? How will baseball fare? By having what? A team that’s a vacation spot for clubs in the AL East. Is that what the A’s are bound to be? If you’re asking, again, the main question here, I realize I’ve gone on a long time. If the main question is, are the A’s good for Major League Baseball by being in Las Vegas? Well, what are they? Are they another resort? Are they another hotel that people from Baltimore and New York and Boston and Toronto and Tampa, they come out and and visit visit Las Vegas for the weekend that their team is playing there? Or how about the midweek series? How about the Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday when the Cleveland Guardians are in town in August?

  3. VGK had the supreme advantage of both being first and having a beloved first year team. Their continued success in the face of the raiders mediocrity also has the result that most people see VGK as their team and as Home grown.

    A hockey arena also has fewer seats than a football stadium so filling that place is far easier. VGK does suffer from the same issue that the Raiders suffer from a massive amount of tickets are bought by away fans buts it’s not even remotely to the same degree.
