Tonight’s episode, we uh were supposed to start off with talking about the Carolina Hurricanes, Nick Aaylor’s return, how that would have been um quite a a matchup for the Jets, but instead we are starting off with a rather bit of surprising news. Brad Lambert has requested a trade and the Jets are willing to hear out his trade destinations. This has probably been brewing for longer and you know, obviously for many reasons, I think there is an interesting case from both sides to be made here. But the reality is, right, Lambert wasn’t really doing enough in some ways to earn a a dedicated role. And I think he looked at his development trajectory differently than what the Jets maybe thought he was capable of. And so here we are at this impass. He wants out and the Jets are more than willing to acquies. And I think the reason Winnipeg is looking at this uh and saying that they’re okay with making this move, Lambert in a lot of ways took a step step back last year. Um, I don’t know that it was entirely on him and his fault. I think the team itself was struggling and, you know, they weren’t that supportive, uh, you know, with a a high-end offense across the lineup. But by the same token, Lambert also didn’t win every shift of his. It’s not like he was completely dominating every game. And so, you know, he was top three or top four in team scoring, but I don’t know that that necessarily uh lit any hairs on fire to get him called up. in his call-ups this year. I thought the last couple of games looked better. The first few games I didn’t really come away feeling like he was a mustart. And so, you know, I I was willing to be patient with him, right? I think we’ve been a decently bit patient for a while, but there comes a point at which the Jets also have to make up their mind, right? And I think Winnipeg has looked at the situation and has tried to move Lambert more than once. Uh he has been connected to a couple of different trades, including the Brock Nelson one that fell through. So, it’s not like this has been a relationship that I think has been, you know, uh, seamless ever since it started. I think that there’s been probably some rocky moments and there have been rumors about Lambert’s family uh, maybe being a little bit too involved in the process, you know, wanting him to be an NHLer sooner rather than later. And with Brad, you know, I I like him as a prospect and I think he’s, you know, a very fun potential player, but with the Jets kind of needing more immediate help, I think this is a deal that probably works for both parties. I think the biggest question that now comes out of all of this is what do the Jets even get for a player like this? Lambert is a 21-year-old scoring winger with, you know, a recent track record that’s not that impressive, yet he has some serious draft pedigree. um the potential is all still there and his first pro season in North America was very impressive. So, it’s not like there’s no body of evidence for him to maybe get a look somewhere, but the number of teams that could potentially bring him on probably aren’t that interested in giving up players for him. The Jets would, you know, realistically need to find somebody uh with a team that’s got, you know, a player that’s out of favor that has maybe suggested he’s not happy and go from there. And let’s be upfront, right? Anything that the Jets are likely to try and go for is going to be some sort of a roster upgrade from Winnipeg’s perspective. They’re not going to want to go for futures. They want immediate help and they frankly need it. Whether it’s defensive or scoring, but Lambert alone doesn’t get you that. So, it’s going to have to be a heftier package. Now, if the Jets finally do make this move, I think it is actually a fairly good thing. And I want to preface this by saying there is no better GM out there of worming his way out of situations where a player wants out than Chevy. He won in my mind the Mcgory to trade with the Joerger deal. Uh I honestly think Joerger has a higher upside and has started to demonstrate uh potentially a bigger positional awareness and maybe a bigger positional need for the Jets than McCordi would have been. Like Rucker is going to be a very good player in my mind. I think he’ll probably thrive with Pittsburgh, but he also doesn’t play center. And the Jets needed a really, you know, big top six, middle six center to really bolster this lineup, especially since Taves is probably not more than a year or two with Winnipeg. And in terms of like the Dubis trade, right, you know, that first swap with LE and Dubois again addressed a 2C need at the time. Line wasn’t really uh happy with Winnipeg. Dubois wasn’t happy with Columbus. It was a natural swap and both guys exchanged uh you know places, right? And it wasn’t likely going to be a long-term thing. Dubois, I’m sure, wasn’t really that thrilled about coming to Winnipeg. Uh he certainly showed it later on. And so here we are. Uh the Dubois trade brought in Gabriel Valardi, who’s been a really great top six winger and one of our most dangerous power play weapons. You got some, you know, uh draft picks and stuff out of it. You got um Al Afalo, who’s been indispensable in the middle six. You brought in Rasmus Kapari who had a solid first year here. Uh didn’t exactly wow anyone, but you know, he ate up some fourthline minutes and was fast. So that’s really all you could ask for. If it was just Valardi alone, I would have been pretty decently pleased with the return, but you know, the Jets got a ton of ancillary stuff. And so when you look at the last few trades of players swinging out, you know, you even go back to the Trouba trade and the return wasn’t bad. The circumstances and context weren’t great. And I think you know the Jets I think what they got back one of their own picks at the time. Uh that was not exactly the best optics but like you know it ended up panning out pretty well and I think the Jets can be pleased with what has progressed out of all of that. So when it comes to these situations Chevy always wins. I really feel like there are very few of these deals where he hasn’t had some sort of uh a you know well-aging uh outlook from the date of the original trade. And of course, we always have to evaluate trades when they happen, you know, because there are context uh moments and uh contextual moments and it’s not like you can see the future immediately. So, you’re never going to be sure 100% what the outlook is going to be like. But as long as you try and salvage the situation and get a decent return, I think most people are usually happy. Chevy has somehow parlayed a lot of these bad uh situations where guys want out into some real positive situations. Now, I want to talk about this being uh maybe a little alarming that it continues to happen, especially with some of the drafted prospects and, you know, really address the bigger question of the pipeline itself and, you know, is it really a pipeline that’s supporting the Jets or not? But in this specific scenario, I guess I’m not too too fussed about it. I think I’m just disappointed that Lambert didn’t work out. I really thought he might be, you know, the Eer’s replacement even if his game was a bit different, but ultimately he wants something different. Uh, I think the Jets are going in a different direction and you know, at this point it’s it’s just best for both parties to walk away while there is still some value to salvage. And for the Jets, you know, maybe you’re looking at an Owen Tippet who has been out of favor in Philadelphia. You’d probably need a decent package and Tippet himself also has some sort of trade protection. So, you know, that’s going to be a little tricky to negotiate, but I don’t think Taket really likes Tippet. And I don’t know that Tocket would really enjoy Brad Lambert either, but Brier as GM hasn’t exactly been that impressive. So maybe you can finangle something to get Tippet here, who would probably be uh one of the biggest recent trades the Jets have made uh really since the Dubois deal. That acquisition of Tippet would be perfect for the Jets timeline. He’d probably be a 50 to 60 point guy uh on the wing here and I think he would be a very big scoring presence for a Jets team that frankly just doesn’t have a lot of wing offense. Otherwise otherwise you could maybe look at like um a Jigor Chinov. I don’t know that Chinoikov is the exact first name I’d target but he is a sensible option if you go to Columbus or you know there are rumors that Pavo Mukov wants out of Anaheim. If that’s the case, the Jets could certainly do with looking at a young defender who has had a little bit of a rocky start uh after a couple of good young years. I I don’t quite know what his game is like at at this point. Uh but there are serious options. So, if the Jets are ready to try and really win now with this core and supplement this offense, then this is really the first step in going that direction. And I hope they take advantage of the opportunity. I I think you know out of these what appear to be moldy lemons you can get some pretty sweet tasting lemonade and I think for the Jets that is exactly the cure for what currently ails this this 5v5 gameplay that we’ve seen from the Jets but there is also the the other side of the coin that you know this isn’t exactly the best look for the organization and I want to chat about why coming right up. Let’s be real making excuses doesn’t solve anything. We’ve all heard them before. It’s just stress. I’m tired. Or it happens to everyone sometimes. Every day, thank you so much for rejoining us in tonight’s episode as we’re just chatting a little bit about uh the the Brad Lambert trade request stuff is is certainly not exactly the happiest news. Um I guess from my perspective, I’m not super shocked by it. I think he’s probably a little pissed off that he’s been toiling in the minors for a couple years when he feels like there are real opportunities for him to make an impact in Winnipeg’s top six. I don’t entirely disagree. I I think, you know, I look at how the Jets are built and one of the things I’ve often mentioned is that Winnipeg’s playoff ceiling is always a little bit handicapped, right? There is a very clear limit to how far this team can go based on the roster construction. Uh the lineup itself isn’t exactly optimized. I know people will fight me tooth and nail on the Connor Shifley Ardi thing saying it’s one of the highest scoring lines out there and it’s like well yes partly because it plays so much together. It plays more than any other line combination in the entire NHL which is actually pretty ridiculous and crazy to think about. Uh but that trio has been together really for what feels like the dawn of time. It hasn’t quite been that long but it’s been long enough to where you know you’re like wow. uh how has that not actually been adjusted outside of like injuries? Um the Jets are really one of the few teams that does this and so to me it’s become even more imperative for them to draft and develop and bring in reinforcements. If you are super dead set on this core being exactly as it is, then you also need to find some young prospects and players who can supplement and and help you at the edges. But for the last five or so years, probably longer at this point, the Jets really haven’t been graduating many prospects, and you know, on the one hand, it’s not like the Jets are drafting in the top rungs of the NHL pool. Uh, you know, we’re getting a lot of mid to later round picks, and that’s not the worst thing, but it also does kind of limit the likelihood of how many, you know, high-end NHLers you’re finding here. I’ll say that Kieran Walton does at least inspire me a bit. He looks like he’s had a really good trajectory. Uh still some work to do to be a procaliber player, but there are early signs that seem positive. Uh Kobe Barlo has kind of been okay. Um I still have some question as to just how high his ceiling is. He might be more in like the middle to bottom six tier, but you know, he has a lot of good leadership qualities. He’s got a pro ready build. And so if he starts to figure out how to adapt his game to the uh AHL hopefully, you know, this year later in the season, maybe we won’t worry too much. But, you know, in terms of guys who have actually gone from um the prospect pool to Winnipeg recently, you really only have a couple of examples. It’s like Samberg and Perfetti. And after that, not really anyone else too recently. We’ve had some stints with, you know, uh, Hanola, uh, and and a few others who have played some games for the Jets, but really not more than like a season’s worth. In general, the Jets have brought in more external talent than anything, and some of the biggest prospects that they’ve drafted have all requested out. Uh, Lion, of course, was one of the first big ones to get traded. Um, Trouba, I I don’t necessarily count because I don’t think he was actually that upset about it. Uh I think with Trouba it was more of a family situation thing and you know at the end of the day he wasn’t really young when he was uh traded right he was towards the end of his prime and I think for all parties involved the deal made sense but you know l a little bit of a different story he was a young developing player and he had a real falling out with Wheeler and Maurice so not great. uh you had McGroy who just didn’t really seem to be that interested in signing with the Jets after what looked to be a very positive uh first public image. I thought he was gonna be a big rock star here in Winnipeg and instead he took it and hightailed it out as soon as things did not go his way and he wasn’t on the Jets lineup. So yeah, little interesting there. uh fascinating turn of events, but now you’re starting to see, you know, uh yet another kid in Lambert want out. And I don’t love that as a trend. Now, the thing with all of this and and you know, you have to take it with a little bit of uh context here. Like Winnipeg is not the sexiest destination for young kids. I get that. And you know, these drafted prospects don’t get to choose where they go, right? You know, the only thing that they could realistically do is hold out, but they really have zero leverage. So, when they exercise the leverage, you know, there’s a part of me that can’t really be mad about it. Uh, but I am slightly concerned that the Jets have fallen into a bit of a cycle here where, you know, it’s hard to say that they’ve really had a ton of prospects who are out and out ready for the NHL and really could be difference makers, but they also keep, you know, signing a lot of guys more in the Pearson and Keepy tier of player where they could play a role for you, but they don’t really move the needle. And the guys who probably do have to move that needle are players that you would want to have coming from inside your organization. Uh, you know, you’re you’re going to have to start relying more on that drafting and developing tool to try and find ways to raise your playoff ceiling and uh your profile and standing. So, you know, it’s a weird spot that the Jets are in. Uh, the pool is not exactly, you know, top end. I think it’s better for where they drafted. like I don’t think it’s as bad as some have suggested, but I also don’t think it ranks very highly when stacked against other top end teams. Uh well, top end being top- end prospect pool. They might not be top end right now because they spent years being terrible and that’s why they have so many good picks. Um you know, unfortunately, if you tank a lot, you you kind of have a pretty pretty uh well stocked pool and the Jets have been anything but tanking the last several years. So, uh, where the Jets go from here is a very interesting question. You know, I don’t know what the leaguewide view of Winnipeg’s prospect pool is. The Jets are going to have to probably package up some bigger assets if they want to take swings. And at this stage, I I don’t really know if the Jets even have a real keen sense of where they sit in the NHL landscape. the Lambert thing and the fact that they are open to uh acquiescing to his trade request does feel like an acknowledgement that they know the team needs to get better and if that’s the case I think that’s probably one of the most positive developments you could have out of the situation. I’m just not really sure what they consider improving the roster. And if they do like a a deal with, you know, New York for like Brennan Otman, at this point, you just might as well not even bother, right? Um that would not be an improvement. And, you know, I worry that that could be the sort of outcome that, you know, unfortunately is a very possible thing. The Jets and Rangers have had relationships before. Uh but all of this to say that Winnipeg’s pipeline just isn’t really serving the Jets very well. And if Lambert is the first sign of things to come, you know, this is a chance for the Jets to maybe start to move some names out. Trade some of these young players for assets that can help you in the immediate present. Kevin Heath, Kieran Walton, guys like that. They’re not next year players. They’re probably two to three years away. And the Jets have this window that they’ve now forced themselves into where they kind of need help now. I love Kevin. I think he’s going to be a really fun player in the future. I’m a big fan of Wolton’s game and the development track he’s on, but the Jets may need to find other ways uh to improve this roster more immediately than hoping that, you know, one of them as soon as they hit the pros next season, you know, lights it up. It may not be that easy to do. Uh, and so the Jets are in this very tenuous spot this season and it’s why I’ve sort of been wondering, you know, whether they should just wait it out and see what happens at the end of the season or try try and get aggressive with this current group and make the most of this year while you still can. Um, I will say in favor of the idea of going aggressively and trying to make something happen with this roster. You know, the rest of the league is not that impressive across the board. A lot of teams taking points off one another, a lot of league parody. This might be an opportunity for the Jets to try and, you know, salvage something here and find a way to maybe sneak through some of these playoff rounds in the future with a roster that maybe in previous years wouldn’t have gotten the job done. Will you eventually have to go up against a team like Colorado or maybe Anaheim or something perhaps? But, you know, at the uh end of the day, you still have to try and buy your ticket to the dance and maybe that is Winnipeg’s best play at the end of it. Uh but you know at the present you know the one thing that I can say is that the pipeline is not really doing what it’s supposed to at the moment. Um and so the Jets really need to look look a little bit harder at that figure out why and try and diagnose before it becomes a routine trend. Winnipeg really needs this pool to service the roster because they don’t make big blockbuster deals. They don’t sign huge free agents. they need internal help and if the internal help is not coming then you’d better use that internal uh resource pool to figure out if there’s anyone outside the organization who can move the needle for you. It is a longer term challenge and one that the Jets are not going to figure out in a day. But certainly you hope that at some point they resolve this sooner than later. But curious to know your thoughts on this. Do you think the Jets prospect pipeline really is working the way it’s intended to be or do you feel like us that it’s not really doing its job? Let me know in the comments below or at my social medias atyou living lococo and at l winnipeg Jets on Twitter. Hey friends and welcome back to this episode of Locked On Winnipeg Jets, part of the Locked On podcast network, your team every day and now the number one sports podcasting network. Thanks for rejoining us as we are chatting a little bit about the Jets uh versus Canes. I’m going to call this game a bit of a must-win. Uh Winnipeg for the past couple weeks has not been playing very good hockey really since the start of the season. You can probably count on one hand the number of games that the Jets have actually won convincingly and not just because they were riding like a 30 or 40% shooting percentage, but because they were actually outplaying opponents. You know, I think there have maybe been three or four games uh this year where they were actually out and out better than another team. And you know, the Columbus game this week, I I don’t know how much I’m reading into that. I don’t know if I want to necessarily pin a lot of the Jets performance on that game. Um, so I’m gonna for now kind of exclude it. I I know that’s maybe a little unfair. Uh, but you know, I I think games against Pittsburgh, against Chicago and Philadelphia where, you know, it wasn’t on the second half of a back-to-back, that might be a little more illuminating. Um, and for the Jets, you know, it’s been uh it’s been a so- so start to the year, right? The record is okay. They’re five games over 500, so it’s not terrible. Uh, but this team doesn’t feel as inspiring as last year’s team. You know, last year’s team obviously had the most insane start we’ve ever seen for a Jets team and really a modern NHL team in some time. Uh but at the end of the day, right, you know, what happens uh in the regular season ends up getting uh washed out by whatever happens in the playoffs. And you know, the playoff stuff has not been great for the Jets. I think last year was a big improvement. This year’s team doesn’t really feel like we’re kind of on track to do that. Um, so I I want to see this team against Carolina really be aggressive. I want to see them show, you know, some real fight and gumption. And if you can’t outskate the Canes, then outwork them. Find ways to win the battles below the boards. Uh, you know, get those those half-wall battles going. Try and be aggressive on the forche. Don’t give up space and opportunities to your opponent. And, you know, put out whatever you can out there with all the effort that you have. And just, you know, do the Jets fans proud. I think that’s the biggest thing. you’re going against one of the top ranked teams in the NHL with an offense that has been lighting up goalies left and right. It is time for the Jets to show that they can skate with the big dogs. They haven’t done it well this year. And in the few teams that they’ve played that have been at at this caliber of opponent, uh the Jets really did not look more than second rate. So, this is your chance to reset the narrative. Up front they’ll have Zvet, Aaho and Jarvis on the first line. Eer Stangovven and Blake on the second. Kerier Stall and Martin Nuke on the third and then Hall Jankowski and Robinson on the fourth. Taylor Hall is still playing hockey if you can believe it. And uh he is still putting up pretty decent results. On the back end, you’ve got a very mobile blue line and one that has been uh quietly impressive in many ways. Gostaspar and Walker on your first pairing. Uh Keandre Miller and Nestrom on the second. Uh, and then Nikeshan, the young rookie, and Riley on the third pairing. In net, this is probably the only place where I think the Jets really have a clear out-and-out advantage. You have Kachkov and Anderson in goal. Anderson has had some solid moments. Coachov occasionally. Uh, but this really feels like, you know, where the hell buck advantage could be the big mover. You know, this team doesn’t have Slavven, so that’s already one big loss for this Kane’s team. Uh, but the Jets are going to have to try and win these matchups wherever they can. You know, you look at the forward grouping and Carolina is deeper pretty much across the board than the Jets are. They are also, you know, in some ways a little finishing limited compared to some other top end teams like uh Colorado. So, you know, maybe this is a chance for the Jets uh, you know, back end and goending to really shine. Uh, you’re going to have to try and contain this team at 5v5 because they do skate fast. They can create a lot off the rush and they also in many ways compensate for maybe the lack of elite uh finishing up and down the lineup with hardworking players who are very skilled and who tend to throw a ton of stuff at the net. Rod Brendeore loves himself a team that shoots first and asks questions later. So, you know, if this is one of those games where the Jets might get lit up, uh Hella might be a little bit busy. I think this game is a real benchmark setter for the Jets. You want to go into American Thanksgiving with some confidence. You want to feel like the last few weeks were more of an aberration. Go out and show Carolina who’s boss and come out on the end of it stronger. I still think at the end of the day, I hate to say it, uh, but I do think the Jets probably lose this game. However, I would love to be pleasantly surprised and see Winnipeg really route Carolina. They have not beaten a good team like this in a long time and done it in a way that’s really, really impressive. Smack down the Canes. go into American Thanksgiving with some confidence. You’ve got some tough road games coming up later this week. Uh next week we’ve got, you know, Winnipeg versus Washington in my neck of the woods, which will be fascinating. Um but yeah, you know, this is this is your chance to really show why Winnipeg backed this course specifically and why they feel the Jets are primed for playoff success. Let me know your score predictions below in the comments or at my social medias at hliving Loco and at l Winnipeg Jets. for tonight’s episode. That’s going to be all the time that we have. We’ll see you tomorrow with a recap of Winnipeg versus Carolina. So, have a great night and as always, go Jets go.
In disappointing but unsurprising news, Brad Lambert has requested a trade from the Winnipeg Jets. The team has agreed to allow him to work with external groups to facilitate the deal. Is it time for Chevy to once again work his trading wizardry? Will this trade finally force the Jets to get aggressive and find help for this core? What might a return look like? Should we be concerned about the number of Jets players who’ve asked for trades? How will the Canes line up against the Jets, and why might this be a minor must-win for Winnipeg?

Exactly bye bye 😅
Why doesn’t he actually score more than seven goals in the minors before thinking he’s not getting a fair shot? Geez.
Bustbert , Bustlow and Chad Bustiuz. First round has not been good to us lately. Oh and Bustaleinen too
Maybe you pckg him, along with a roster player on an expiring deal and a first for a Jordan Kyrou or an Owen tippet. Not sure if that would be enough to get one of those guys but I feel if we could add some secondary scoring with some term that would be great!
Jets they goota get a guy like Brady Tachuck get rid of five players Perfetti in the package Shen to win a cup you need a wow player ? If not your golfing again may 1st our Geriatric players not cutting it.
Basically, another reactive trade will be made by Chevy. Had Lambo not asked for a trade, Chevy wouldn't have been proactive in trying to get him moved.
And I do think Lambo needs a breath of fresh air, and go to a team that will actually give him the room to learn and play through his mistakes.
Wow then trade him for a First round draft pick
Samberg and Perfetti have been the only 2 draft picks to become regulars on this team since 2017. So either the Jets aren't drafting well, or they're not doing a good job at developing their prospects. Or even hindering the development of prospects with the constant need to give deference to older vets over the prospects.
Laine wanted to leave. McGroarty wanted out. We also lost two blueliners in Chisholm & Kovacevic for nothing, who both have gone on to be regulars on other teams. We lost Michael Eyssimont for nothing on waivers, and he's become solid middle 6-type player. And Leon Gawanke was a RHD with a hard, heavy shot, that tied for the most defensemen goals in the AHL in his last year. He signed in Germany because he wasn't getting his chance.
It's not a good trend for the draft & development model of this team. They're drafting a lot, but not developing them well enough to actually play and contribute.
Who cares hes terrible.
🤔 Well if Lamby wants out, find a way to move him and get someone good back like.. another "Party" type player…cue the Macarena music. lol
I've confident that Chevy can get something reasonable for Lambert if it goes that way.
I think Jets Management are terrible at Draft and Development. They made one move to move up at the draft and we’ve had to hold onto that player for a decade to prove to themselves they were right. They have a skeleton crew to scout talent compared to other teams. They keep picking players who “ fall to them” without analyzing why they are falling. Lambert and Kupari are similar players in that they are all tools and no tool kit. They both could have been flipped early on but now are worth nothing. We are currently seeing the Moose destroy Barlow who had a great Camp. Now he’s bottom of the roster and limited minutes. Genius.
Still, is dumping Lambert or Chibrikov to maintain Tanner Pearson wise in the long run?
Rutger 2.0… send him to Pittsburgh?🤣
Sadly it's nothing new
I don't blame Brad or if other prospects like Chibrikov want out it's best trade them get value instead of waste value like Heinola til worthless.
Jets USED to be a draft and develop team. Now they block paths with 30+ year olds. I hope they learn when Yager/Salmonsson are ready they need to change.
What's #1 issue the teams old and slow Lowry deserves contract but he will be 37 when done same with Scheifele,Hellebuyck,Connor even guys like Toews,Nyquist,Nino,Iafallo,Namestnikov,Pearson arnt young most are signed there's no where for prospects to make team. Morrissey will be next get 7yr deal til late 30s.
Because Chipman believes in loyalty and family things are attractive to players to sign. Is also a detriment to unwilling trade guys or move them out to make room prospects.
JetsHub mentioned Kyrou,Tippett,Tuch as possible Jets trad partners but Jets would need add more.
And we can guess names all we want
But it is an issue with organization.
I'd even be open if you are going do this with prospects move them for a younger prospect like Mcgroarty for Yager push back development.
Like a Lambert for Lindstrom,Parascak,Lakovic,Mcqueen guys taking longer road in NCAA or 18/19 instead 21/22yrs old.
I don't want Salmonsson,Yager,Barlow,Bomediene,Freijs feel same way Brad does. If you don't value youth move them for an established youth or give them a chance elsewhere.
Example a Lambert+3rd for Benson or a few prospects/picks for Byram. Your not sacrificing age.
Example
Lambert+Chibrikov+3rd for Tippett
Even Salmonsson ik team likes him but if you D*ck him around trade him + 1st or package for Byram it's not like 20yrs to 24 is huge gap and ones more established.
It bothers me when in past Sbisa,Bitetto,Beaulieu,Stanley were given chances over Heinola.
Or Toninato,Pearson,Koepke over Chibrikov/Lambert.
-Ik you like Gus he and Vesalainen were pushed behind Harkens,Bourque,Shaw,Luoto,Lewis,Thompson,Sanford,Eyssimont,Kuhlman, meanalainen,AJF,Toninato which I feel is wrong.
Harrison: The only way for the Jets to get good draft picks is if they start tanking. Doing well in regular season and getting a high 20s draft pick, only to get bounced in the playoffs right away gets you no where in any direction. Either trade to win now, or if you can't or won't then start tanking to get top 10 picks.
Look at the Moose roster and the scoring these guys have done…unless these young players are getting limited ice time….the offensive numbers of these future NHL'ers are not very good.
Heinola was hoping to be scooped up on waivers and is not putting up the kind of numbers that would scream "he should be in the NHL." He's got 1 goal and 4 assists in 16 games and is a team worse -14. Those are not strong numbers and he would likely pass through waivers again unless he came up and managed to impress.
If Lambert wants to impress anyone he needs to be clipping close to a point per game in the AHL if he's hoping to get some NHL looks.
I applaud Chevy for being willing to say something like…'We like you, we want you to have success and if that means somewhere else, have a look around and we'll do our best to help.'
Pavel mintukov from the ducks since he is not happy bc he is not playing
Let him go not he’s done anything lol
