Wiggins, Mitchell, Adebayo, Herro, Spoelstra | Postgame Interviews | November 26, 2025

I guess how does it feel to be back and you know kind of a lot of bodies coming back into the rotation. Oh no, it felt great. Uh definitely felt great especially coming back to you know a win. Um feel like this game is just showing how deep our team is. Um and you know it’s only up from here. I would say it’s funny because it’s such a good thing to have guys back but there was also the challenge of working those guys back. What’s that process like not just these two games but moving forward? I mean, you know, just finding your rhythm, you know, again, and um getting that win to, you know, play your minutes and do what you got to do on the court, tightly contested one. How were you guys able to pull it off? Yeah. Um I think that uh we did a good job down the stretch getting creating that lead. I think the the second unit came in and creating the lead for I think we nine or 10 and gave us a little cushion um to get pull out the win. There’s so much talk about all the guys back and I know you guys love that, but how difficult if is to kind of mix and match and work and kind of get that feel with so many guys working together. Yeah, I mean it’s uh I mean it’s a little bit different right now. Obviously you add a lot of guys in just on the team and the guys been missing. So we got to just find that chemistry. I think that over time when we watch film together, actually practice together, go a little bit get get that uh connection, I think we’ll be fine. How much do you think the last couple games has been maybe opposing teams trying to slow your offense or the fact that there’s a lot of just kind of in and out new guys coming in? No, I mean I think a lot of people know how fast we play, so they they kind of try to junk up the game a little bit. Um playing a lot of zone kind of to slow us down a little bit. Um kind of I mean Dallas is a really good defensive team. Um that was a solid defensive team even without Giannis. I think they’re pretty solid. Um they played a lot of zone too so it kind of slowed us down a little bit. Ben, obviously you with getting a lot of guys back here today and second straight game with the offense kind of starting off a little slow and then again winning in the mud towards the end there. Getting a lot of those guys back. How much of a process do you think this is going to be with the everybody kind of jelling together and gaining chemistry? Just got to work through it. Uh that’s the biggest thing about it, man. And but thing I love about this team, we’re we’re willing to go through that. We’re willing to work guys in and, you know, figure out how we can how we can get this thing on a as like a welloiled machine. uh to where it doesn’t matter who’s out there, we still, you know, still picking up the pace. We’re still running. We’re still getting stops and, you know, playing fun basketball. SP was just saying that kind of teamwide the switching wasn’t necessarily on point today, but bigger picture, you guys are switching a lot more this year after two years of kind of going away from it. Are you happy about that? Do you are you glad to be switching again? And how much does the team kind of need to adjust to getting back to those kind of coverages? Uh when we start switching like that, that’s when we really got to overcommunicate. Uh you know, I’m I’m okay with switching, but I’m not okay when we, you know, they dump it down to the big and he scores every time. I’m not okay with that. Uh so from that standpoint, we got to clean that up. And like I said, man, we got so much depth where we we can figure this out. Uh, and you you want a team like this where it’s a problem to have guys that can, you know, walk in and get you 15 every other night because at the end of the day, you never know who you might need to step up. How vital, speaking of that depth, how vital is it that since you’ve come back and Kell’s had to adjust his role slightly, there really hasn’t been a drop off. He if there’s a rebound around him, he’s more more often than not going to get it. just how critical is that that he’s been consistent? No, I don’t know. I snatched a couple today. I snatched a couple from him today. Uh but he he’s fig Like I said, man, it might not be 20 and 18 every night. But you know that 11 and nine that he had tonight was impactful. Like it impacted winning and that’s the biggest thing about it. He was what? He was plus plus 16. Uh, so when people, you know, that’s the thing I hate about stats cuz when they go to, oh, he only had 11 and nine and it, you know, they think it’s unimpactful, but that was a loud 11 and nine that we needed. Uh, you know, he doesn’t get 11 and N, we lose the game. And that’s how I kind of think about it. So, uh, like I said, man, he he’s young. He’s still figuring it out, but you know, he can still impact winning if it’s not loud numbers. Tyler, coach has said how difficult it is to come back when missing some sign so much significant time. How have you managed to make it look easy with these two games you’ve had the last two games? Uh I said it last game, my teammates and my coaches, you know, they’ve allowed me to come back and uh play my game. Uh trying to just be efficient, win games. first game with Norm and first the healthiest this team has been all season really. You guys have a lot of depth. How much of this is going to be a work in progress as you work through the rotation, different lineup combinations and all that? Yeah, it’s a it’s going to be a work in progress. You know, I didn’t have a training camp or preseason games. I didn’t have any anything with this team. Um, you know, kind of just got thrown right into the fire two days ago. And um you know and then obviously tonight with having a full roster healthy. Um it’s the first game and uh you know I want it to work doing everything I can to make it work and um I’m just excited to see where this goes. Um and another test on Saturday which I’m really looking forward to. You being able to get to your spots pretty much in both games. Do you feel like your approach and your process to get into your spots has been pretty much the same in this offense? Uh, I mean just trying to play more off I mean I don’t play off the catch. Um I did that last year as well and then um you know that’s what I’m what I’m doing right now. Just trying to play off the catch and trying to um create advantages, you know, in transition where I can get downhill or get to my spot before the defense gets set and then in the half court just trying to make the right play. Um, I feel like as I get my legs and my feet under me, I’m gonna be able to playmake more and get into the paint more. Um, I don’t feel like my foot is like it’s it’s healthy, but I still have to, you know, strengthen my foot and feel fully comfortable jumping off my foot and exploding off my foot. So, it’s still a process. Like I said last game, it’s going to be a process for a couple weeks until I can fully feel comfortable. What’s that scene like in there when evidently Spo had no idea this was a milestone win and Yeah. and you guys let him know I guess in a rather violent attack fashion. What what’s that to be be part of those moments? What’s that like? No, it’s huge. Um trying to think of how old I was when Spo probably got his first win and then you know to be where he is now and got 800 of them is insane. Um, so it’s it’s great to be a part of, you know, great organization who’s historically been, you know, at the top. And then for for me just to be um as a player to be coached by one of the best coaches ever, you know, at college level and then obviously now at the NBA level. I soak it all in. you know, it’s just a a great um opportunity and experience for myself to be coached by Spo and then obviously coach Cal before that. Talking about kind of the offense and especially kind of backto-back games of scoring, you know, obviously a little lower than usual. How much of a process do you think it will be in terms of like will it be continuous throughout the season that you guys will get, you know, gel together? Will it be sort of maybe a shortterm type of thing? Yeah, I hope it’s short term. You know, I want to score 150 as well. So, that looked a lot of fun from the bench. Um, you know, so I’m trying to make it work. I’m not here to take over the offense or do anything. I told all the guys to just continue to play the same way and I’ll find my spots and fit in as I can. But, um, you know, I want everyone to continue to play the same way they were playing before me, you know, and, you know, I want to, like I said, I want to score a lot of points as well. One more on the shots you’re getting. I know last year you came in, it was kind of about layups and threes and kind of about specific spots on the floor. This offense, it kind of seems like it’s you could score from anywhere. Like you can kind of take shots from Is that feel like you’re kind of feeding into that style? Maybe you don’t have to go to a certain spot. It’s just about firing from anywhere. Uh yeah. I mean, right now just it’s my second game and I’m trying to just find any spots I can, right? But as the game and I game seasons continue and um I like I get my feet and my legs under me. I’m trying to shoot all threes and layups again. Obviously floaters are cool. Um, but I feel like that’s my best shot. Diet. Thanks, John. All right, Timmy. Look a little damp. How would you know? Is that already out there? I was like very confused. You didn’t know? No, I thought I would I thought maybe we uh I was calculating that maybe we qualified for the cup. Then I’m looking around. I’m like, nobody else is getting water dumped on them. I’m like, wait a minute. What’s going on here? Um, I know you’re going to say it doesn’t it’s a team thing. I get that. But milestones, when you do reach one, what it has to mean a little something for you. Um, you know, it hasn’t uh sunk in yet um because I wasn’t aware of it. Um, yeah. I mean, I guess uh it’s fitting that it comes on the eve of Thanksgiving, right? like uh I just feel incredible gratitude uh for this organization uh and all of these years where the years going by so fast. Um having a hell of a time, you know, I love what I do. I I love coaching. I love this profession. Uh I love working for this organization. And I love working for um and with amazing u players and staff, you know, like we have u too many to count, you know, over the years, but uh I you know, we have an incredible bond, our coaching staff, you know, right now. It’s just so much fun. you know, after that loss and uh or the uh playoff series loss against Cleveland, you know, we all took a bunch of time off and then we got to work and it was one of the more gratifying summers. Um just really, you know, buckling down and trying to figure out, you know, how how we could be better. Um but, you know, it really is like a a brotherhood, our coaching staff and the the players. It’s just a fun locker room, a very ambitious uh locker room. you know, our coaching staff, we want to be our best uh to be able to u meet that ambition and and hopefully exceed their ambitions. Uh but uh I’m I’m grateful. Um you know, I say it uh I’ve said it a few times, but when I when Pat told me that I was going to be the head coach, he said I I was going to blink and it’ll be 10 years would go by. And now there’s quite a few more years that have gone by. Um but yeah, that’s that’s what I’m feeling. I’m feeling great gratitude, you know, um heading into Thanksgiving. When Tyler Hero came back, could you have envisioned 29 and 24, not just the numbers, but also being a leading man in clutch situations like he was the last two? Your thoughts on Tyler’s return? Yeah, I just wanted to be open to all the possibilities. Um, and open, you know, to whatever he could bring that would add uh to our team. Uh, you know, I’m we’re so familiar with him. His skill level is just amazing. Um, and he works so hard. So, you know, he has the skill level, he has the ambition, he has the work ethic, and and they all work uh, you know, together to be able to to produce, you know, in in moments, you know, like this. U, it’s not easy, you know, to be out a significant amount of time and then come back and look like you haven’t missed a day. Uh, but that’s a credit to his work. He does everything full speed. uh every le rep is like a live rep whether he’s going oneon-one or whether he has a coach, you know, working against him, you know, so it gets him in rhythm, you know, much quicker, but he he’s certainly going to add it’ll take a little bit of time. The last two games, uh it’s it’s not because of uh Tyler coming back. Uh it’s because, you know, teams, you know, will try to scheme against what we’re trying to do. teams will try to slow us down and we just need to uh be better at what we do uh on I’m looking forward to a practice session on Friday um just so we can fine-tune some things. Late in the first quarter, you s out the five starters and you had all the bench the bench lineup out there. Was that the plan? And how much of this continue to be kind of a work in progress as you work through the different combinations and lineups? I I don’t feel stressed out about it. I feel for guys, you know, that um one either might not be playing or that have less minutes and a little bit of a change role than, you know, what it’s been. Uh but, you know, that’s what happens if you have uh depth. Uh and then everybody will get their opportunities. It might not be every single night. It might not be exactly what they want, but uh I think we have a mature locker room. They understand that. Uh, and this will get a lot better, uh, you know, quickly. Um, you know, we’ll just figure out what what works, uh, the best and and we’ll get to get to those lineups more often. Speaking of different roles, obviously, Ka going to the bench, but being very crucial when especially when Turner was switching off and trying to get advantage of that size. Can you just kind of talk about what you saw from him tonight? uh he was very good and uh I don’t take that for granted you know that for a young player it’s not easy you know to uh go from coming off the bench and then starting and then playing well uh and then going back to the bench um but he he handles it uh well and I think that’s important you know that’s part of his development is you control what you can control you continue to have an approach every day to get better uh and then to understand that It it’s about a team concept, you know, and and there will be a level of sacrifice that that will be required, you know, for our team to reach its potential. That’s what all great teams, you know, have. Uh and um I think our our team, you know, is mature enough to, you know, to be able to wrap their minds around that. It might not be easy, but um you know, we’ll get there. Milwaukee didn’t have an efficient night, but this might have been the most obvious the switching was all season, but you guys have been switching more, especially with Bama. Yeah. Why is why has that been more appropriate for this group to go back to it a little bit more this year? Well, tonight I I I think we just did a really poor job of making multiple efforts against the post up. I think we could have made those a lot more uh difficult. Um, you know, defensively I I just we had a lot of mistakes in the first half either on the pick and rolls or the handoffs or the postups. Uh, and you know, if if we would have been better, I think that could have gotten us out in the open court, you know, a little bit more. Um we we whatever the scheme you know is we we adjusted after that and went back to more tra traditional but you know this league is so dynamic offensively now and all all the skill level and spacing uh all that you you have to have a bunch of not a bunch you have to have two or three things that you can get to that you’re very good at um and then another adjustment uh on top of that um if you need it. Uh you know, the zone I thought we were okay with it. Um think I thought there were some possessions we could have been better. Um but you know, we’ll get there. I I do like that our guys understand how important it is to defend and and there is a commitment there. All right. Thank you.

  1. I know itโ€™s the first time everyone is healthy so they have to figure out which lineups work together and find a rhythm as a unit cause it felt like our last year playstyle.

  2. Somethingโ€™s telling me that even if the coach knew that it was gonna be a milestone when he still wouldโ€™ve went with testing the teams rotation out there tonight the way he did because heโ€™s just crazy like that. You probably would even feel better getting his 800th when without his best lineup even on the court, heโ€™s just that crazy you know by now. I think he is at the point where heโ€™s just rubbing it in peoples faces due to the personnel on the team and under the conditions.

  3. Spo is crazy.. He wants to go home and say to himself I got my eighth hundred win without my best lineup out there๐Ÿ˜‚.. I donโ€™t think he had to say that he loves working for the organization or coaching the team because I think we can all see that he loves it a little bit too much lol heโ€™s a nut๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ he definitely better get coach of this year award

  5. Kalel Ware is slowly and quietly becoming the best player on this team. Heโ€™s so efficient, gets every board, so good from 3 as a 7 footer. What a steal we got and we STILL got Kasparas whose going to break out at some point

  6. Tyler you not fitting in the offense bra stop trying to hold the ball like James harden most of all Hero defense he has to work on that and passing the ball. Stop slowing the offense down catch and shoot

  7. Spo stop changing the lineup up in the front court bra you playing with your physicality and rebounding Ware is a starter you have to bring Wiggins off the bench ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚Davion and Kasperious is your only 2 true point guards

  8. The games before Tyler was pretty, after Tyler, UGLY! SPO is going back to his old ways. Although they won the game which should have been a blowout is not going to fly against the better teams.

  9. All the fans crying for Ware to start and play 32 minutes has flipped a switch in the coach's brain, he pouts and benches Ware. Unleash Ware, give him a minimum of 12 shots a game. Ware's current season stats. 12.4pts, 10.9rbs, 1.4bks and 1.1 stls. Shooting 52.9%, 41.7% at threes and 80.5% at the line. Who gets benched for that that kind of great play????? NOBODY IN THE NBA GETS BENCHED LIKE KELEL, NOBODY PEROID. Spo complements Ware for taking it when benched but we all know inside Ware is fuming. Free Ware from the clutches of Coach Spo, play him 32 min a game; best player on team

  10. Kalel looking fresh everytime he is on the court has something to do with Him comming of the bench. He can run fast more cuase of that.

Also Those easy undefended ally-oop, have also something to do with him switching of the bench. Defenders cant adjust quickly when a big switch in all of a sudden when they have been dealing with small threats for the past 6 min.
but of course all fans think they are smarter.

  11. Weโ€™ve won both games in Tyler Heroโ€™s return to the starting lineup but weโ€™re also back to the slowed down low scoring games, if he canโ€™t keep up with the pace they had if his absence then he needs to be spoken to because him getting 25+ points a game and we losing ainโ€™t going to cut it
