The Detroit Pistons WINNING STREAK is Over!!! Instant Reaction

Well, the streak is over, Pistons fans. It’s over. We lose to Boston in Boston for the Cup game. And I’m not going to lose no sleep. That’s just me personally. I mean, it is what it is, man. Can’t win them all. Uh, it was fun while it lasted, man. Hopefully, we can get another streak up and going. I think we definitely can. Um, but yeah, it sucks, man, because this game was very very winnable for them and and you know, like I said, it it’s just certain points of the game where, you know, I just feel like the Detroit Pistons just did not lock down and focus. Um, Kade, amazing performance. Just I don’t know, man. Uh, yeah, but we’ll get back. We’ll get back. Let’s talk some hoops. about Detroit basketball. All right, man. So, amazing performance tonight from K. 40 plus tonight from K. Just gave you everything that he could all the way down to the last free throw that he end up missing. Um, I don’t count that against him because we should have never been in that situation in the first place. We had our opportunities this game and we didn’t take them. Um, you know, like I said, we had stretches in this game where I just felt like defensively we were just not doing what we should be doing out there. Uh, when you look at the way that Boston is structured, when you look at the players that you need to defend, um, it’s it’s not a long list. Obviously, you you have two players that you need to keep an eye on, right? being Jaylen Brown and and White. So, I mean, that’s not really hard to do. And I just felt like we just allow White to continue to get the ball and continue to shoot threes. When you have a team full of three-point shooters, like a Boston team, you have to force them to come off that three-point line. You have to meet them and force them to come off that three-point line. You know where they’re going. You know what they want to do. If he gets past you, blow by you and and get past your center defender down there and scores a two-pointer, fine. I don’t care. But just allowing him to to constantly get the basketball and shoot threes, that was the most annoying part of this game. You got to be smarter than that. And that’s it’s it’s it’s it’s sometimes you have to go with the old school rules, man. Hey, this player does this. We’re taking that away from him. And I don’t for from a lot of teams that’s in the league this this this era, they don’t really do that for some reason. I I don’t understand it, man. Um they only had one player that was giving it to you in the mid-range and that was Jaylen Brown. I mean, everybody else was out there to do one thing. Shoot threes. Shoot threes. That’s it. And then when you look at what we did in the fourth quarter, that stretch where we didn’t even have Duncan Robinson out there. We needed the three-point shooting. We got Assar Thompson out there. Why? It’s not like he was checking Jaylen Brown. Why? You know what I’m saying? So, it’s it’s just like, man, you just got to be a little bit smarter in those situations. You got to take away what the team is doing. And only thing that they were doing to you was shooting shooting trades, bro. They were shooting threes. Take that away. Make them earn it. Make them go and try to get an and one. Make them go to the basket. That’s what time it is. You know what I’m saying? So, I don’t know, man. Um, just got to do better in those situations. You know, like I said, the the schedule is still the schedule. for the Pistons to get back on the streak. Um, but games like this, it sucks. You know what I’m saying? It sucks because when you have a 40 plus point performance from your key guy, you want to come out with a victory. Um, especially playing the amount of minutes that he did compared to everybody else out there. You want to you want a little bit more. I just didn’t like some of the lineups at times out there. I just felt like we could have did a little bit different, a little bit better. So, uh, that’s me personally. Um, but when you look at the situation, I mean, we still have um a opportunity when it comes to the tournament situation, if I’m not mistaken. Um, we just need a little bit of help. But, you know, based on the teams that we got coming up, we got Milwaukee coming up twice. Like I said, I don’t know the situation with Giannis. Um, I don’t know who he’s going to be who we’re going to be facing those games, but you know, those are also going to be some tough contests for us. And this is why I didn’t want to get too too high and mighty because and I kept pointing out the fact that the schedule was a little easy because when we go against these teams that have been there before, you know what I’m saying? that do, you know, have the roster um to to really compete, then you see games like this. You know what I’m saying? And that’s where I don’t want Pistons fans to get too over their heads and say, “Man, we’re on the streak. We’re we’re the best team in the entire world.” Some of the people that you might consider haters out there, they got a valid point. Who have you beat? Like, who have you really beat that’s at full power that who have you really beat? And that’s the serious question. You gota look in the mirror and say, you know, I mean, it’s it’s a little validation to that. Um, but you know, games like this, man, it should motivate you to come out and play even harder the next game. And that’s exactly what I expect the Pistons to do. You just got to be a little bit smarter defensively. I’m not saying they didn’t play defense tonight, but you have to be a little bit smarter defensively. Um whether it’s the coaching staff putting you in a position or as players out there on the floor, you got to be a little bit smarter than that, man. Um you got to take guys out of the game. If you’re going to beat me, it’s going to have to be one of them other dudes. It can’t be two guys out here shredding us. It needs to be somebody else out here that’s going to beat us. Simple and plain. They’re obviously not as deep as you are. They literally are just they they have a bunch of three-point shooters over there. You know what I’m saying? So, a lot of finesse, too. Um, yeah. Somebody else got to beat me. Simple and plain. Somebody else got to beat me. That’s just old school basketball, man. That’s just what it is. So, we’ll recover. We’ll get back. The sky is not falling because we lost a game and the streak is over. But, you need these reset games, man. You need these reset games. You don’t want to go out and play against a team that’s at full power and get embarrassed because things have been a little bit easier than they should have. Um, that Indiana game should have woke you up enough. But, you know, like I said, we just didn’t do enough guarding the perimeter tonight. So, yeah. With that said, leave it in the comments section, man. Um, let me know what you guys thought about this game. You know what I’m saying? where we could have been better, what we could have did better. You know, it shouldn’t have came down to free throws like that. Um, we are a team that’s full and well of depth and, you know, like I said, everybody that we have on this roster is talented enough where the Pistons can go out and and just win games like that. You know what I’m saying? So, you just want to see a little bit more. You know, I don’t want to picking pick apart certain players. is I don’t want to say this player did this and this player did that. The Pistons as a team have to do a little bit better defensively. So, that’s where I’m going leave it. Um, I just want you guys to take the time tomorrow, spend it with your families, whether you celebrate or not. Uh, spend some time with your families, man. Because in this this crazy world and you just don’t know. You just don’t know. Um, the world is very very different today. Hey, let’s just say that. So, spend some time with your family tomorrow. Enjoy yourself. Watch some Lions football if you’re a football fan. And, you know, hopefully we can get a win there. In the meantime, y’all be blessed. Peace.

It's cade fault for not making those free throws I don't understand why these players can't make free throws but they can make three-pointers we're never going to be on another long winning streak like that for another 30 to 40 years to get another shot of breaking the franchise record how disappointing again it all came down to 3 free throws

  2. Ivey was horrible today! I know he is rusty, but he is taking shots away from duren, and jenkins. As well as not playing no defense. He also is not running the pick and roll with duren. I think he might be the odd man out. U cant keep everyone.

Too many 3's for me..few of those possessions where we jacked up 3's,If we drove to the rack which is our strength…we win this game.JB could of simply told them boys.."Stop shooting..drive to the hole."That's the difference in the game..JB be so caught up on letting them figure it out on there own🤷

  23. I agree with everything you said, King! There were slight lapses in defense down the stretch, but we can beat them. Nine times out of 10, I think we got them and I believe they know it. You win some, you lose some, now let's get another streak going!!

  25. I'm not mad at the L. I'm mad at JB's rotations and leaving Duren out there too long at the end. Clearing Ivey didn't have it tonight so Jenkins should have had those minutes. JB has to be more situationally aware

  26. I think Duncan had more than three opportunities to get three-point shots and Cade didn't see them. However, it was a good game and an excellent opportunity to correct the mistakes that were evident. Greetings from Mexico City.

That's why I said we may lost this game and lost the streak but we be back to winning games again but we have to do better job than what we had done and learn from it after losing 3rd game of the season now at 15-3 we still number 1 in the east just have to get things back on track and learn from it we be ok even tho this lost hurts it is what it is back to the drawing board we go start a new streak on Friday against the Orlando after Thanksgiving let's get it Detroit!! Again back during the bad boys era Pistons win with defense defense defense and a tenacious defense that nobody had ever seen before a 94 ft keeping teams from scoring 100 points keeping teams at 80 to 90 points that's what we need to get back to that hardcore smothering defense preach defense and throw offense out of the window defense wins championships

  36. Bad coaching on this game ,this one is on JB. No double teaming on Brown, no zone defense. I don't undersrand why Levert played in the end ,and Stew was on the bench.We had advantage in the paint and we we were shooting and missing 3 pointers.Wtf!!!

  38. 40 percent shooting, assists were down as a team which reflects box score. Boston should have blown out the game. Jenkins needs more touches as a playmaker. Your second star only shot 4-10 40 percent. Malik Beasley would have been needed for the spacing.

Im waiting for Ivey to get back in there and find the confidence he had last year defensively you know getting steals and clogging the passing lanes. Ivey returning kind of extended they rotation a bit which really ain't bad if JB knows how to timely get everyone in.

  48. The coaching made me mad. He had Asuar guarding Pritchard instead of brown or white. Why??? Makes no sense and ivy was 2-14 shouldn’t have played him at all. 0-5 from 3pt land omg
