Doc Rivers Postgame Press Conference | 11.26.25
I guess just that final sequence score without held the timeout. Yeah, I loved it. Loved the call. We do it again. Um, you know, I thought we could have moved the ball. You know, we had time. Uh, but other than that, I I loved how we played. Um, uh, I thought, uh, instead of letting them set their defense, we had them on their heels and, you know, I thought if we’ have just kept moving that, we would have got the shot we wanted. Um, I guess just late to for the guys to kind of have the composure to get it to a three-point game. Yeah. Yeah. We just stuck in there. I thought Ryan’s fight, uh, Bobby, all of them, they were just, they wanted to win the game. You could see it. Uh, defensively, I thought we were phenomenal tonight. Uh, you know, Miami’s been scoring 120 or whatever. Um, you know, a lot of long rebounds. They got a lot of fouls still that they got. Um, and then I thought, you know, you could see just needing that extra score, the ball movement. Uh we had stretches in the game where the ball stopped and whenever that happened we struggled scoring. Uh but man I was I would have loved them to make the last shot and win that game. You know GT had a great shot off the offensive rebound. So we had good shots you know that we would take off the defensive end. You mentioned their their scoring but you played now nine of the top 10 teams in pace this year. Yeah. Five and five but but the games have been there. Why why do you think you know that they they were able to slow them down, if that’s the right word, or at least we got back number one, but we we guarded the ball tonight. We stayed in front of the ball. Um all the all that stuff is created by dribble penetration and they couldn’t beat our initial guy off the dribble tonight. And by doing that, we kind of took them out of what they wanted to do, you know. Um Hero made some huge shots for him. bottom line. Um, you know, free throws are be it disparity or even just the make miss numbers. Is that a little dis I know Ryan got the the offensive rebound. Is that a little disappointing in these really tight games? You’re trying to find points that that’s just an area where you know Yeah. Listen, we’re not getting them um and and it’s up to us to earn them and go get them. Um, I thought Miles, you know, it’s so funny how soft they call the away from the ball plays with with hero and they have Bobby and Miles are getting murdered down there and there’s never a call. There’s just no cause. You can’t tell me half of Miles drives uh where we had him posted. There was contact all over the place, you know. But we’re not getting that. We’re not asking for it. We just wanted to be called the same, you know. Um, but I I just loved how we played. um if we play defense like that. That was the first time though, I will say this, in the last three or four games where I thought we had amazing fight defensively and that gave us a chance offensively. Uh when we have, you know, Scoot and and Giannis out, that’s a lot of offense off the floor, a lot of creators off the floor. Um to be able to have that chance on the road against a good team is good. Uh you guys have not posted Miles a lot this season. Yeah. Tonight it was a pretty clear emphasis. What kind of winning? Well, we knew they were switching. We knew they were going to switch all night. Um, and what we told our guys is to be patient, not get stuck. Uh, I can’t wait to watch the tape because there were about five times where we got stuck. I remember Ryan tried to throw a impossible pass over the top. Like, if they’re they’re shading that far, swing it to the other side and attack on the other wing. Uh, but we told him before the game, every time they switch, go punish him and Bobby. uh we knew we felt going in the game our size was our advantage and I thought our guys did a great job of taking advantage of it and I guess just from Miles’s perspective but him taking advantage of it like rising to the moment for this to be one of the first times you guys have really said hey post and yeah well they they were switching everything and we knew it and I loved how we played you know even the last shot I would have loved the ball to move a little more but I I you know that was the aggressive mouth that I’ll take every night and and and live with is you mentioned searching for that score shot creator. Is there I mean I know you’re short-handed, but is there something you can do with Cole or how he’s just kind of Yeah, he’s struggling. He’s struggling right now and and we have to do something to help him. Um you know, he’s he’s turning the ball over uh and taking some really rough shots for us. Um we just got to keep coaching. You know, the kid can play. Uh we got to keep believing in him. um he gets down on himself probably too much which leads to the next error and so we got to find the right happy medium uh to get him to be able to play through mistakes. I think Ryan starts the night one of eight with three points like really struggling. Yeah, he took I thought in the first quarter he forced a lot of shots and then I thought the second, third, and fourth quarter he let the game come to him and he became back to Ryan Rollins. you know, this stretch has been phenomenal for him. He’s uh it’s been a a great teacher for him, you know, and you know, when you add Giannis and scoot back, I can’t imagine the next step he’s about to take. Uh so Giannis going Sorry to ask something, but Giannis going from questionable to did it feel like uh like a step back for No, no, I was not in favor. I was I was very happy we decided what we decided. I was very uncomfortable with it. Um, he really wanted to push, you know. Uh, that’s who Giannis is. Uh, I was very happy with our medical team today. They decided at the end of the day, let’s wait. Um, and I, you know, obviously as a coach, I can’t get involved but so much. Uh, but I told Giannis that this morning that it should be a no tonight. Uh, then the medical team told him as well. What makes Yiannis is great? It was a yes from him. You know, we just thought it was the right thing to do. We got to protect him sometimes.

Mr Excuses
How is this dude still employed ?
WHY WOULD YOU TAKE OUT MYLES WHEN HE IS HOT, WHAT ARE YOU DOING DOC?
We're reaching the point where even casual fans can see Doc's coaching malpractice. If GA requests a trade, might as well start the team's relocation because the average MKE fan will completely tune out.
Yall……… wtf is going on
Doc, our defense and rebounds are getting better .. but our set play offense was not good enough, kuz should play with the bench unit, rollins back to g league form, aj should get more shot, play DHO more often
Doc if you want teams switching, why don't you have players setting more screens and forcing opponents to switch? Defenses do it to use all the time. Our players are constantly forced to switch.
Doc, only posting Myles up vs a team you know organically switches a lot is asinine, you should be able to apply schematics to force switches and get Myles to that spot
We have TWO timeouts and this low IQ coach decided he wasn’t going to use any of them. Seriously, why is Doc Rivers still employed? He’s making 10 million a year to absolutely do nothing but waste our time.
Que treinador é esse que não consegue um dos princípios básicos que é a defesa, Heart, colocou nosso time na roda, não conseguimos contestar um arremesso
What was the record of Doc's predecessor?? … it was better than the current position.
Should Doc Rivers now be sacked and removed and undercut like he did ??
He blames everyone else, and if this is his continuing suggestion of playing well and doing well and yet consistently losing… you need a new director and definition of being good….
Bum. Please stop calling him Doc. Call him Glenn
Get this bum off my team
Give us any other coach and we win a lot of these games. Erik Spoelstra is a phenomenal coach and when there was a rumour they were gonna ditch him I hoped that the Bucks would be there to grab him. Could you imagine Giannis with a great coach? GOAT material.
they must've had some kind of a team meeting cause they actually passed the ball and fed the post at least some of the time, why did it take till now to actually run some offense some of the time?
This guy is the destruction of bucks.
Man was HOPING they would move the ball to find the best shot, but didn't want to use one of his TWO time outs to draw something up to GET someone open. Make it make sense
I'm done with this garbage team
A.J. Green was the Milwaukee Bucks' best player against Miami. His statistics were: 4/6 3PA 67%-REB 5- AST 8-STL 2-TO 0–12PTS MINUTES 36.
These have actually been close games. Keep it up Milwaukee
You need to be fired
The most useless coach in the nba
Griffin got fired for much less. Doc has had enough chances, time to set him free
Why is everyone blaming Doc and not Horst? This team is trash without Giannis, what did you expect? It's amazing this game was close
That's a great lottery pick coach. Give him any team, he ll win them a good lottery pick.
And remember it's never Doc "Excuses" River's fault. If they fail he ll blame his players, the climate change, the ball etc
ROLLINS 11/24 46%–TURNER 9/15 60%–TREND 5/14 36%–PORTIS 4/14 29%–KUZMA 4/11 36%–ANTHONY 0/7 AND GREEN 4/6 67%
Poor team due to poor contracts and losing draft capital. Even with GA return they just average In weak eastern conference! Both Horst and doc need to go
