There’s a myriad of reasons, but the simplest is that DNVR gets their postgame pods out the same night they record it, meaning I can listen to it on my morning commute. Guerilla Sports take days to upload

  1. It’s obviously personal preference but I prefer the personnel at DNVR. Thats not to say the other is bad, just differnt.

  2. DNVR is just better full stop. AJ is the man, Rudo is awesome. Jesse on Guerilla I find to be sort of egotistical or something, can’t exactly put my finger on it but he can rub me the wrong way sometimes.

  3. AJ and Rudo are really the best. I also enjoy the Hockey PDOCast and Puck Soup. If anyone has any other recommendations I’d love to hear them.

  4. I find myself trending the other way these days. I do like that DNVR comes out the same night but prefer the flow of Guerilla more often

  5. I’ve got a mental ranking of the different individuals, and it doesn’t split cleanly between the two outlets. Fact is, there’s a little something for everyone, and I basically listen to every episode and find enough to enjoy from both channels to keep tuning in.

  6. I listen to both frequently. DNVR for the post game commentary, and anytime AJ is on. Guerilla Sports for the more analytical discussion. Although I truly miss when they were all together on DNVR. AJ and Jesse together were so high energy, rudo steering the conversation, Meghan would pop in with some knowledge bombs, and then blaze would just blaze it up. Best pod crew ever when they were all together

  7. When AJ talks, or even better rants, I listen. Dude is incredible and meshes so well with Rudo. Rudo is also fantastic. The 2022 season was awesome when they were all together. Hasn’t been the same since

  8. I listen to both quite frequently. AJ is single handedly my favorite person to listen talk about hockey. Rudo is a great balance.

I like guerilla becuase they talk a lot about player personalities and who they are off the ice and they have more eagles content.

DNVR is my preferred selection. I think in general Guerrilla has a few more takes and conversations that I just don’t care to listen to. That’s not even every show necessarily but overall just slightly more frequent. DNVR can definitely be more negative at times. But I think realistic and negative can be a fine line at times as well.

  9. The 2022 Cup post-game pods with Rudo and AJ will always be a core Avs memory for me. I still listen to pods when I see AJ is back, but man… that 2022 run was super fun, and DNVR was a big reason why.

  10. I have my preference. But generally really like both. The “competition” is great for fans. Those of us that remember when the only source of Avs news was from Dater circa 2009-2015 was brutal. And that’s coming from someone who believes Dater was great at his job… pre 05 lockout. Coverage has come a hell of a long way and we’re all winners cause of it

  11. I came to BSN/DNVR because as someone from Nova Scotia I appreciated the inside info I could hear from Dater. AJ quickly became the reason I tuned in, and I miss him being around full time.

Rudo has become the rock of the pod. Jesse and Meghan have a good thing going at Guerrilla, and i love when Evan pops up. So I’m happy for all of them.

But man do wish we could have AJ, Rudo, Jesse, Meghan and Evan all in one place on a consistent basis.
