but really though, Matthews’ pass *back* to Nylander was incredible. I didn’t even see it at first.

That’s actually pretty good.
It’s amazing on the winning goal for the last few seconds before Willy shot the puck how everything just seemed to stop.
This score had a completely different vibe compared to the one in Buffalo lol

I think I was mid-jump up from my seat in outrage that Nylander just decided to look off a wide open 1-timer from Matthews with half a net open. . . It ended up working out, though.
You know when he was getting yelled at for not playing right, and the standing still on the blue line on the PP, he was going to score once it got to OT.

Great use of the pass fake to Matthews dragging the goalie out of position. Thats a goal scorers goal.
Ok I hate Chris Cuthbert but that was a good call.
Matthews jumping onto the ice to be a decoy. It worked.
He had the team deked out so hard, he just had to tap it in.
William wakes up in overtime for some reason?
Even Cuthbert pretending and failing to seem excited doesn’t detract from the patience and wiley setup Willy pulled off.
Chef’s kiss wrap on a much needed win.
