Yes, the Chiefs shot themselves in the foot with untimely drops and penalties, but like Alex Smith pointed out, it’s too much “Mahomes save us” and not enough schemed plays that open up players.

He AND our WR coach (who’s a nepo hire btw) need to go. Our WRs have been so bad in man coverage for multiple years at this point. Fuck it, get rid of the OL coach as well because even with the talent we have, Mahomes still doesn’t feel safe in the pocket. Just fucking embarrassing having these guys on the staff still
I don’t want to try to win out all these games just to miss the playoffs. Id rather us be eliminated early then fight for nothing so something drastic can be done with our staff

There’s no coincidence him taking over as OC and Mahomes’ slide in numbers and efficiency. You can literally divide the line between Eric Bieniemy’s tenure and Matt Nagy’s, cause it’s day and night.
Bad drops,bad throws, bad penalties etc etc. Refs were awful too. But honestly we went to sleep after the 2nd td drive and woke up in the 4th q so only ourselves to blame

As frustrating as it’s been and the fact we’re likely going to miss the playoffs, I’m cool with that if it means making some serious changes.
Going to get downvoted but the real problem is that the defense can’t get pressure without blitzing which allows super easy 3rd down conversions. We can’t get a clutch stop to save our lives.
Haven’t gotten a sack in 8+ quarters.
We definitely need someone new in there. We’re too predictable. They need someone who’s not afraid to mix it up with Andy.
Chances of playoffs has now dropped to 38 percent. They beat the best team in the league last week then lose to the 17th worst this week. Time to clean house and then finally draft a 1000 yard running back in 2026
Romo has said the same thing the last two games …. We need to throw outside of the numbers. When we do, we find some success. We can’t keep throwing inside when they plays us on a shell defense. Kelce is not his young self anymore and defenses can see that.

I agree. I don’t understand all the ins and outs of the plays but the eye test looks like the plays suck. I hate the rpo bullshit. The third down defense was horrible too. They left the corners on an island and blitzed every time even though nobody ever got home. At least we will have an easy schedule next year.
