Kyle Hamilton: ‘We Aren’t Pointing the Finger at Anybody’ | Baltimore Ravens

Kyle, after after you guys made so many stops in the red zone in the first half, how frustrating was it to not be able to get on off the field on third down, you know, those first couple touchdown drives in the third quarter? Yeah, it’s um you know, is it’s 60 minutes of s sustained success in this league. Um, you know, we played a great first half. I think we were put in some tough positions and, you know, we held them three points and that’s what our offense counts on us to do and that’s what we’re out there to do. But, um, second half, you know, it’s a 60-minute game and, um, we know that, we understand that and we got to execute better. But, all in all, I think guys are out there fighting and, um, had some guys go down, some guys step up today. Obviously losing Nate mid games is tough, but how dramatic were the schematic changes that you guys had to make it look like they’re moving you and Marlin around a little bit to compensate for that? I don’t think it was too much schematic changes going on. Honestly, um you know, we trust everybody to go out there and perform to the best of their abilities and to the standard that we have and um Zo’s going to call it how Zo is going to call it and everybody steps on that field should be able to do their job. Um, I think it may have just been the flow of the game. You know, they had a lead, so they’re going bigger people and we might have been switching people around because of that. I’m not really sure. Um, just trying to answer your question, but yeah, it’s, you know, we’re confident everybody that’s out there. Kyle, how good was B throwing the ball tonight? Yeah, I mean, he made some great throws. Um, you know, that’s who he is and that’s why, you know, he’s regarded as one of the best in our league and, um, you know, he’s got the stats, got the been to the Super Bowl, all this other stuff. And it’s not by accident. Um, made a couple great throws on critical plays, made a great throw against me on third down. And, um, Hudson, I think, made a great catch. And, you know, that’s just part of this league. It’s NFL, and, you know, you’re going to win some, you’re going to lose some, and, you know, next play mentality. But, yeah, he puts the ball where it needs to be, and um, that’s kind of his forte. Kyle Lamar just said that he’s not make he’s not missing these throws in practice. So, how surprising is it for you to see, you know, what normally are layups for him not get completed? Yeah, I mean it’s it’s one of those days, you know, that you have and defense had a lot of those days early in the year and, you know, we we aren’t pointing the finger at anybody. Um, not pointing the finger at Lamar, not pointing the finger at whoever it may be, skilled guys, O line, whatever it may be. We’re we’re all uh we’re one family, you know. we got to roll with the punches and get through the lows and the highs at the same time. So, um not surprised at all. Uh or not really think of it as like a surprise that he’s throwing the ball wherever he may have been throwing it today. Like, you know, he’s on point on time in practice and you know, it just doesn’t go that way sometimes in the game, but you know, he’s a competitor and he’s one of the best two-time MVP for for a reason. So, um even LeBron has an off night. Kyle, I mean, sort of to that I mean, you’re one of the team’s leaders and tomorrow’s maybe the most important team leader. When he kind of comes and says, you know, week after week, I I expect more of myself and he hasn’t been able to reach that standard. Have you kind of seen him carry himself through this challenging stretch of his own play? Yeah, I mean, he’s the he’s the same Lamar. I think that’s a good thing. You know, I mean, obviously on offensive side of the ball, we’re getting stuff fixed on our side just like they’re getting stuff fixed on their side. And um you know there’s the narrative I think could switch very easily just because he’s high-profile player and like I said two-time MVP so people are quick to criticize and jump to conclusions but I mean you have a tough two three game stretch and um you don’t really get any leeway there if you’re Lamar Jackson. So he uh he he doesn’t care about any of that. He’s just trying to do what’s best for this team so we can win football games. I know that I see it on a daily basis and I know he’ll get it right. Not worried about that at all. Um, I know everybody on the offensive side and defensive side, we’re we’re uh we’re coming up on week 14 now, but you know, we uh we’ve got a lot of stuff to get better at, but I think we’ve made a lot of progress at the same time. Kyle Kyle, does it does it feel like a huge amount swings on this next game against Pittsburgh and then you guys could be right back on top of the division or you could be back up against the wall again? Yeah, I think objectively a lot rides on this game coming up. you know, we pretty much every game, including this one, from here on out. Um, you know, it’s they remember what you do in December. So, December’s coming up. We got a big December and, uh, yeah, I think we got the guys to do it and got the mentality to do it. It’s just a matter of doing it. I think, you know, since you guys got to lo, you’ve been one of the best defenses on third down, but two of those final bro touchdowns were third and nine completions. Um, just how surprising was it? Was was it that you guys kind of dropped the ball in those high leverage spots? Yeah, I mean it’s it’s it’s it’s football. Like at the end of the day, this National Football League, best players in the world. You know, we hold ourselves to a standard, but you know, they’re going to make plays, we’re going to make plays. Um, we just got to make more plays than they do. Um, I thought we did a good job. Just tough situations, sudden change, bowing up in the red zone. Um, game could have got out of hand early, um, if we weren’t doing that. And you know, we set ourselves up to be in position in the second half. Just didn’t finish the right way on defense. And um you know, it’s not like we’re doing the wrong stuff. It’s just one of your one-on- ones. Um that’s part of the game, man. You know, we watch the film whenever we watch it. Um digest it, correct it, and flush it. So, um on to Pittsburgh after that. Okay. Thank you. Thank you, Kyle.

  1. John HB man it’s time bro you got to go bro frfr no jokes you got to go bro it’s time please just retire for the fan base frfr we want you gone like seriously

  2. Love Lamar but he is suck a choker in the biggest moments. RG/LG play has been abysmal, just not good enough for the NFL. This team being built backwards with CBs and Safeties being valued over real DL

  3. I'm so glad they lost! This team definitely is not him. The good part is we got some talent That'll carry us through for a few years. But as of now this year, even if they make it to playoffs, they ain't winning nothing. Still bleed purple. Truth hurts and it's ok. Better days ahead.

  4. “Even LeBron has an off night” KHam is a true teammate, people we just went a month without a loss in the NFL that is extremely hard to do, we gotta keep our heads up and look to the next game.

  5. Isaiah Likely fumbling at the goaline changed the game, the energy just wasn't right after that. Likely got greedy, what are you reaching out for? Secure the ball right there and its first and goal. Players been here too long to be this immature in critical situations

  6. Does NOT LOOK and feel like it on the Surface ,,TooKS another Step cleanED up,identified solidified Kcorrected key technical positive solutioNS,,,Refs ,America Teams League leadershipS, ,five in row ,Don't be greedy,DHop COULD'VE been called 4 offensive inference several times game b4 I Dallas Dow Jones, still TopSSS US Super S&P much improvED ,and closing, BOTH ,week 2 week ,and 32 team collective in the division adjustments continuous etc. Fairness 2 DHOP ,old school physicality shoves, push offs hand Fight battling, taught EVERY LEVEL, ,,NEXT TIME just call RAVENS PROACTIVELY office with the concern,,less obvious hands, VERY SUBTLE but effective and mostly hidden from view ,,,,,DH,MA,got better recovered from early struggles, LJ ,IL, do the same , Learned MORE FROM LOSSES and than Wins ,and want win every game , learn apply from this loss everything needed going forward , When coach says WHO GOT IT BETTER THAN ravens Nobody , and every team and player should feel that way ,, BUT it cuts ✂️ both ways top OPPONENTS LIKE KC,Patriots, and PresidentialS,lauged and say U keep thinking 🤔 so

  7. Turnovers, bad calls and Lamar not on point at all! Please guys stop the bone head mistakes! Have a clean game win or lose just don’t give the ball away so easily please!!!!!

  8. When Lamar get blitzed instead of making a quick read and getting the ball out, he runs backwards 20 yards trying to make a miracle play. We've seen him do this for years. Thats not gonna win a superbowl brother.

  9. Lamar turnovers likely trying be to cute line trash went away from the run bad call on Zay 3 and outs not even mad at the d the o did not show up tonight u can only hold on for so long this was on the captain Lamar needs to own this was bad performance d held up as long as they could offensive side did not help out the d Todd mo ken calls are stale now teams no what to expect slants quick game where is it smh

  10. Focusing on continuous improvement learning opportunity infinite within on infinite externals cannot beat self with turnovers, and penalties, And majority of
🇱🇷♾️🌎 substance ,INFINITE within appliED, especially great grand 🇺🇸 B Experiment

  11. Painful to watch. Something is wrong with Lamar. He’s definitely not himself.

Humble pie served up for Thanksgiving. Still reeling and not sure what I even watched tonight. Feeling angry, sad and confused. What just happened?

I will die on the RAVEN’S Hill, but tonight was just baffling

  12. My conclusion these games are rigged the offensive coordinator and several officials totally skewed the direction of this game. the best running back in league doesn’t get 80 yards. Icing on the cake the refs. I guess everyone has to get paid the Italians, setting up the corruption. The people trying to build their temple in Jerusalem with their television networks and the athletes.

  13. That is an embarrassment on your own home field losing to the 3-8 bengals. Their was no offense to score but love to turnover the ball and didn't even lead on time of possession. You guys don't deserve to be conference leader and I can see you getting beat by the Steelers the way you guys are playing and the play calling is horrible by the coaches. It is time for a change in players, coaches and leadership where you're just an average team and not ELITE. Every year you guys beat yourself with stupid plays and turnovers which why you can't win a CHAMPIONSHIP.

  14. If I was Lamar big brother I will tell him that I won’t say anything about how bad he played tonight but. I would say if it cold outside don’t show it. You look cold ,you play cold. The Colder it get the warmer Im going to light that scoreboard up. Mentally is everything

  15. Disappointed in the owner for letting this S show to go on for so long….. how can you watch this and not see this team didn’t address any issues we had during the trade deadline the coach decisions have been beyond unacceptable. Ravens are done this year and have been when they play a real opponent our mistakes just shine for the world to see……this whole team needs to be rebuild from the ground up including the QB… we clearly seen his prime how many years will it take to show you he is not the one that will get this team over the hump…. Two times we had home field in the playoffs with one time the number one defense and the 5th best defense and yet the offense side including the QB play have been below standard play more ints then tds. It has never matched his seasonal play. We’re approaching what year 8 or so how long does this team have to wait for something that isn’t going to happen? 10years 😂 come on….. Go Ravens win or lose.

  16. Y'all need to point all the fingers. There are enough fingers to go around… single coverage on Chase, Derrick Henry goes MIA??? Make it make sense. Not hard to run that offense, run it until they stop it. Keaton and DH can get 80 yards apiece easily. They should've went after Micah Parsons. Pass rush is horrendous

  17. The League is scheming LJ differently now with his decreased running ability, he needs to either get his wheels back, or get much better at throwing to receivers outside the hash's.
Wouldn't hurt for the offensive line to do better also.

  18. I Don’t Know Why I Continue To Watch These Interviews… It Just Gone Be The Same Ol Disingenuous, Potentially Correct Talk As Always… Todd Monken Need To Go, He’s A ABC Play Caller… We’ll Never Win A Super Bowl Like This
