Chicago Bulls Physicality To Be Tested Vs Heat?
The Chicago Bulls face off versus the Miami Heat later today. And I got a big question. Are y’all ready to go out there and compete tonight? Y’all know the Bulls physicality will be tested versus this Miami Heat team. We’re going to talk about it. And then to end the show, we got to talk about Montas Boozel being second in betting favorites to go ahead and win the most improved player. Where he’s at, where can he potentially go? We gonna talk about it, break it all down, but you know, you gotta hear the music first. [Music] [Music] Shy Boys podcast with the Conac Boys. I’m Conac Boy Bobby and I’m holding it down on today’s daily episode. So, if you’re tuned in, locked in and seeing red, make sure you go ahead and hit that like button and subscribe, man. But hey, Chicago Bulls, we got a match up versus the Miami Heat. And I’m here to say the physicality that the Chicago Bulls wanted to implement and inject into this team this off season, it’s going to be tested tonight versus the Miami Heat. If we all remember correctly, remember over the off season the front office, Bentley Donovan, and the players all went back and viewed that playin matchup versus the Miami Heat in and the Chicago Bulls did not look like they was ready to play with them boys. If we remember, DaVon Mitchell gave Kobe White hail. We seen Josh Giddy go out there and line up and get guarded by Bam Adabio and was pretty much neutralized. They competed but not to the level of what they should have competed in my honest opinion. So I think that when we look at tonight the Bulls physicality and all the the talks this off season, this is one of those games to where you need to lace them up and get ready and go play good basketball because all off season we heard that we want to be physical. We want to be more, you know, we want to be able to compete with some of those teams and they even reference the Miami Heat. But the crazy thing is is that when I looked at it, I said, “What are the Bulls record versus the Miami Heat in the last five games?” One and four. One and four for the Chicago Bulls in the last five games versus the Miami Heat. And they did get a win at the end of the uh regular season, but when it was time to push the chips in the center of the table and give yourself an opportunity to make the playoffs, history repeated itself. The Chicago Bulls was not ready to play, not completely. And they got their ass sent home. And now we looking at this matchup tonight to where that physicality will be challenged, the offense will be challenged, and they’re going to have to step up defensively. The number one thing that I’m looking at tonight though is the head coaching battle. Every single time Billy Donovan matches up versus Eric Spolra, Eric Spoler say, “Yeah, good.” He treat him like a a kid that coming that’s coming to ask you, “Do you got games on your phone? You sell him no.” And the kid be like, “Yes, you do.” And then Billy Donovan be like, I mean, then Eric Sper be like, “Boy, go over get your ass on. Get your ass on.” And that’s how that I feel like that’s how Eric Sper treat Billy Donovan every single time they match up and versus the when these two teams match up. I feel like Eric’s supposed to treat Billy Donovan like that little ass kid that keep asking you do you have games on your phone and then you just got to hey come get your kid or if it’s your own kid you got to go tell them to sit they ass down. So that’s the number one thing I’m I’m ready to see. I’m going to see if Billy Donovan is going to lean on guys like Josh Giddy, Kobe White, but then also make them adjustments. Again, if Bam Adabio is sticking Josh Giddy, how do you create some opportunities for Josh Giddy to not only playmate for others, but be able to take advantage and get some points himself. And then we seen Kobe White pretty much get neutralized by DaVon Mitchell. And we He’s here tonight. He’s here tonight. So, Kobe White, hey, I’m just saying. We know you’re coming back off injury. We know you’re still working up and all that, but how do you take another step in the right direction? Again, one game does not determine how the entire season is going to map out. But I think that if you constantly talked about this specific matchup versus this specific team all off season, you got to show up. That’s just how I look at it. They are they are the reason why you said this off seasonason we have to improve on our defense and physicality. So you have to show up and I’m interested to see Billy Donovan if Nico Levous is getting worked by Khalil Wear and Bam Adabay and you’re seeing good minutes out of Jaylen Smith do you lean on Nicovich because he hit a couple game winners? That’s all I want to know. or do you do the right thing and say that hey Stixs is giving us better minutes, giving us better effort def uh defensively and offensively and is helping the team a little bit more. Let me lean on this guy versus leaning on Nikolovich depending on how the game is going. Now, if Nicolus wakes up like he wakes up when it’s time to go hit a gamewinner or hit a cut shot in the fourth quarter, then we can rock with it. But if he’s not playing well, how do you adjust to say, “Hey, maybe we got to trim some minutes off of Nicolus, give more minutes to Jaylen Smith, and maybe we can revisit the thought process of having Nicolvous out there, but then also, how do you go out there and contain Norman Pal?” Yes, Norman Pal was averaging 25 points this season, and I told people he co. He co. So, I’m interested to see that matchup. I’m interested to see the chess match between Billy Donovan and Eric Sper because hey, what Russell Westbrook used to do? Rock the baby. Because that’s what Eric Sper is treating Billy Donovan like for the last whatever. It don’t matter. Hey, it it ain’t been it ain’t been that close these last few games. You know what I’m saying? Versus the Miami Heat. So, Billy Donovan, you’re on the clock. No, let me stop. Let me stop. But then another thing I’m interested in while we’re talking about adjustments and players, I’m looking at my two guys in my back court, Josh Giddy and Kobe White. I understand, again, I want to go out there and just put it out there on wax again. I understand that Kobe White is still working himself back from injury, but if there is any game that you want to have circled at the beginning of the season, why is it not this one? on Kobe White and Josh Kitty. Why is it not this one? Why not? I need 20 plus points from both of these guys. That’s just me. Call me being greedy saying Bobby, I don’t know. No, I need 20 plus points for both of these guys. Kobe White coming off the bench has been on a heater, but that has been, you know, coming off the bench versus some second unit players. He has had some minutes versus some starters, but now you see a guy that pretty much held you in clamps. Are you seeing red? I’m seeing red, but that’s only as a fan. Are you seeing red as the player that got to go out there and put points up? We have to see how it look. And I need Hey, Kobe White, I gotta give you some kudos, my boy. You’ve been sliding them feet, boy. You’ve been sliding them feet on defense. Hold on now. Step up. Bring that physicality. That’s all we want to see. That’s all we want to see. And then Josh Giddy. Bam out of bio. Bam out of bayou gives you space. Take the three. You’ve been knocking them down. Knock them down with confidence. Knock them down with conviction. And help the Chicago Bulls the best way that you can. Those my two guys. Those my two guys that I’m looking at. There’s other players I could throw in there, but I think that these two guys right here were the difference maker, the difference makers, you know, or are the difference makers for the Chicago Bulls. And part of the reason why they didn’t advance, you know, while they was going through the playin is because these two guys, I will say that Josh Giddy did have a better game. I will be fair in that. But at the same damn time, like Future Z, we need both of these guys good at the same damn time. And lastly, I’m looking at the defense for the Chicago Bulls. Again, the physicality. We talked about it. If Nicolola is going to be out there for extensive in an extended period of time, I need him on lock. If Montealis is out there, I need you to go out there and be consistent. If if Billy Donovan has a wild card in his pocket that he can lean on, and we seen Dalon Terry get extra minutes. But if we remember correctly in that Denver game, the lineup that included guys like Pee Will, Jaylen Jay, uh Julian Phillips, and Dalen Terry, they was out there wreaking havoc on the Denver Nuggets. Can you wreak havoc on the Miami Heat? Now, everybody in there has felt heartbreak from the Miami Heat for the past few seasons. This is a game you have to have circle on your calendar. I don’t care what nobody say. Yes, it’s early in the season, but it’s time to win basketball games. You get You got a solid record. You got a solid record. You know what I’m saying? These guys have a solid record, too. Mano Emano. Let’s go. I’m fired up for it. Even though I won’t be there for the live call, I’m fired up for it. I got to see it, guys. I gotta see it. I got to see my guys go out there and perform and not play down to the competition. not just play up to the competition, but try to go out there and make a statement. I think that as a season goes on, there are certain wins that you can put in your win column or your loss column. Preferably the win column is what we want, right? Tonight, we want the win that can go out there and start letting teams know that you are for real and that you are very, very capable. That win versus Denver Nuggets. That was a check. You know what I’m saying? In the win column to say, “Hey, we gonna make a statement.” Especially the way that it was played. Depending on how you play tonight, you get a little bit more kudos if you are able to pull out the dub. Now, let’s go out there and see what’s to it, man. Let’s see what’s to it. I don’t know. They got to show me. Put it on wax. But hey, before we get up out of here, we got to talk about Montas Bzelis being second in in the batting favorite odds to win most improved player. That’s DraftKings, FanDuel, and a couple other uh uh people out there that has been uh tracking this stuff for the most improved player so far on the season. Montealis is averaging 14 and five uh rebounds. For me, I hold Montubelis to a high standard because I gotta go off what you tell me. depending on what you tell me. That is how I’m going to weigh all of the uh the ways that I feel about said player. Mat Buzzellis said I want to win most approved player. My biggest thing with Mont Booze it is consistency. That’s it. I need a consistently aggressive Montas Boozel and Billy Donovan. Let the kid learn sometime. sometime sitting his ass on the bench. It could be a good option to allow Montas Boozellis to learn. But then on other occasions, bark at him from the sideline and see if he can get his head straight. I I don’t think that it always had to go to yeah, sit on the bench. I don’t think that’s the only option to help help a young player get his stuff together. I don’t necessarily think that’s the case. But right now with him being second in these betting odds to be most improved player that tells me that people are paying attention, people are putting money on him. It may be only Chicago, but it may be some other avid NBA watchers. Could be whatever. I know they don’t really matter. You know what I’m saying? When it comes to actual actually watching the game and seeing how a player performs, but it is letting me know that people have eyes on Montealis being good this season. It has been a little it’s been it’s been solid for me. I’mma say it’s been solid, but I have high expectations for Montas Bzelis. So that’s why I could be a little biased and grade him a little harder than say you. That’s just how it is. But I think that this is one of them games for Mont Boozelis too. Again, I got Kobe White and Josh Giddy at the top. But I’m interested to see what’s the mentality of Montes Buzellis. What’s the mentality of the basketball team? Montes Buzeellis, if you go out there and you continue to average what you’re averaging, but then suddenly start to have a uptick in point totals and rebounds and effectiveness and blocks and defense because you’re going to be challenged tonight. There’s going to be some times to where Mas Bales has to sit in front of Bam out of Bayou. How are you going to hold yourself? How are you going to hold that? you going to be able to sit in that chest, slide them puppies, and block a shot. We going to see. We going to see. And I think he’s very, very capable. He’s very, very talented. It’s just about being consistent. And I I always tell people, I stand on one standard. I grade people off the whole entire season. I don’t Just because you have a good 10 games, I’m not going to jump off the porch. Just because you have a bad 10 games, I’m not going to jump off the porch. I like to grade it. either in sections, so like first first half of the season and then second half of the season, then give you a full evaluation at the end of the season. That’s my way of doing it. You have your way. That’s just my way. But I believe in Montzelis. I’m holding him to a high standard. So some of the criticisms may be a little bit crazy sometime. I can admit that. But solid solid so far. Now let’s let’s let’s strive for being consistently good. Let’s do that. But hey, and that’s not to say that’s not to say that he can’t have a bad game because that happens for every single NBA player of all time. They always every player has a bad game. It’s just that when the pu the chips are pushed into the center of the table, can we count on you? Same thing goes to uh Kobe White and Josh Giddy tonight. I need good performances out of those guys. I really do. But hey, that is it for me today, y’all. I appreciate y’all for tuning in to another episode of Shoos Podcast. It still wont be tested for real even if we win because this isnt the playoffs. We SWEPT THEM last season and they Blitzed us in the Playin. They coach called it before the game.
So yeah… a win is definitely needed and will be nice, i would consider this as practice or a warm up. A test in a since to gage.
But they play possum against us.
More like Billy's coaching will be tested again once more, his rotation will be key against a banged up Miami team and a pissed off Coach Spo😅
I wanna see DT, let that man make some mistakes and get better out there
A healthy backcourt of Coby white and Josh Giddey have a small chance of getting to the playoffs and making it out of the first round
Man I’m tired of losing to the Heat I couldn’t even tell you where 80% of their players came from after Jimmy Butler. Spoelstra has been giving belt to ass to Donovan in terms of coaching too. The Bulls need to learn how to maintain a lead and win without Vooch
Bullsnation fingers crossed as usual
