But, let’s get to this one between the Detroit Pistons and the Orlando Magic. And you’ve got the Detroit Pistons who are coming off a rare loss. Last time out, they fell to the uh the Boston Celtics as part of the NBA Cup. And they they took the loss in that game by a final score of 115 to 113. While the Orlando Magic, you know, they uh sorry, 11714, pardon me. And the Orlando Magic come into this one 11-6. They just knocked off the Philadelphia 76ers 144 to 103. They’re 10-9 against the spread this season, while Detroit is 12-6 against the number this year. Now, Detroit, like I said, had that long win streak snapped. And it’s not often that we have seen Detroit take an L this season. I mean, they’re 15-3, but you got to give Detroit some credit. I mean, this is a Detroit team that has really come out of the gate strong, you know, and kind of give me Cleveland Cavaliers vibes from last season. a team that, you know, we knew had some talent on it and was taking steps in the right direction, but I didn’t I didn’t anticipate them going 15 and three through their first 18 games. But, you know, it’s just the progression of this Detroit Pistons team and, you know, where they’ve where they’ve gotten themselves to and just sort of how they’ve grown over, you know, the last couple years and the and the talent that they’ve brought in. So, you got to give the Detroit Pistons the credit where it’s due. Now Orlando, they’ve done a good job of starting to turn things around after a bit of a slower start to the season, but they’re still just four and five on the road. They have split their first two games of this three-game road trip. So, we’re going to see how this last one goes. But, you know, Orlando doing really well, seven-2 against the spread and straight up in their last nine games overall. Like I said, starting to heat up, but some of the wins have been coming against, you know, lesser teams. And the wins have also been coming at home where Orlando is 7 and3 this season and they’ve been just a better team going back the last couple of years since we’ve seen the Orlando Magic sort of have that surge into the top tier of the Eastern Conference and you know they picked up a win over the Knicks which was not an easy thing to do. They handed the Knicks their first home loss of the season but also you know lost on the road at Houston failed to cover there. Um lost at Boston, didn’t cover in that one. and then like I said, blew out the Philadelphia 76ers in their last game. But the problem for me in this game is that I just think it’s a nice bounceback spot for the the Detroit Pistons. We have yet to see the Detroit Pistons lose back-to-back games so far this season. And I think if I was going to consider the Orlando Magic in this spot, I would just need a few more points with Orlando in this one. I I mean, I think just getting, you know, the uh the Pistons at 2 and 1/2, three and a half, whatever you see the line at here, I I would need to probably get closer to five, five and a half, six if I was going to consider Orlando in this spot. I just think Detroit is the better team. When you look at the injury report, you know, the Magic are still missing Paulo Bancero. And I’ve I’ve seen a lot of the comments in our morning shows and in the videos, you know, the comments for the videos, a lot of folks think that Pal that Orlando is a better team without Paulo Bancerero. And you know, it’s it’s difficult to argue with some of the numbers that we’ve seen from Orlando without Ban Carro, but you know, it’s still an injury that’s missing. You know, the Pistons, they’re missing uh you know, they’re missing Marcus Sasser for this game. Bobby Clintman, um Jaden Ivy is listed as questionable, but Detroit’s still got the majority of their key their key guys in there. And I just think that, like I said, I need more points to consider the Magic in this spot. So, give me Detroit here laying the points. That’s going to be my free pick for this game.
