Breaking down the WILD ending between the Dallas Cowboys and the Kansas City Chiefs

All right, we ended up having quite the ending to the Chiefs Cowboys game. So, the underdog Cowboys, let’s pause it right here. There were underdogs entering the game, but they’re in a great position right now. Up seven points and already in field goal range on a second down and eight. You know, only a little bit more than 6 minutes left to go. Perfect situation, right? Just simply protect the football. You can go up three scores. You can go a little bit more clock like you’re in a great situation. Well, Prescott, he wants he wants two touchdowns to be up two touchdowns, not just a touchdown and a field goal. Watch as Prescott is going to kind of force it through a window. That was nearly intercepted. Also, Prescott nearly caught it on the rebound, which would have been something. Um, ultimately, it falls harmlessly incomplete. So, you’re thinking, “Okay, everyone, let’s let that be a warning. Protect the football, right?” Well, on the very next play, so Prescott’s going to flip this one to George Pickkins. You know, he wants to score a touchdown. He only has one hand on the ball. It gets knocked out because he was trying to stiff arm a guy. And you see, I paused it right here. You look at how close these two Kansas City players are compared to uh to Turpin, who is, you know, Turpin number nine all the way on the top of the screen. He’s just running because that’s what you’re supposed to do. Run towards the the football because hey, who knows? Maybe there will be a fumble you have to hop on. Watch as good hustle play from from him. He dives. He gets the the ball. Allows them to go up the uh you know, get the extra field goal. go up a clean 10 points. Otherwise, it would have just been a one-sore game. So, okay, now Kansas City has the ball. Only four minutes left on the clock. There’s, you know, already about a minute has been killed here. Third down and six. So, again, for the Dallas defense, you assume Kansas City will go for it on any fourth down, but like, you know, real opportunity here, especially when this play begins. Quinnon Williams does a great job of getting through. You know, remember, uh, backup right guard in for Kansas City. Well, you have Quinnon Williams right into the back field. But this is just what Mahomes does, right? Watch as he’s going to make not just one guy miss, but multiple guys miss. Fires while going down and somehow someway Xavier Worthy is completely wide open. Dallas not ideal defense right here down the field. It was good pass rush, not great uh not great tackling and not great coverage, but again, Mahomes made it work. Makes the throw. They get the big completion right there. Are able to get to the 20. they ultimately convert and get the touchdown. And just like that, in a game that felt kind of over, all of a sudden, now it’s just a three-point game again with still plenty of time. They they went so quickly down the field. The drive the drive only took about a minute and a half, a little bit over, but only around there. But the Cowboys get one drive to try and kill the clock. They get a couple of uh penalties. Actually, one was a a catch and then a penalty on top. But ultimately, they work it to this situation. Chiefs out of timeouts. Two minutes and 14 seconds left, but it’s a third down three. If Kansas City can get a stop here, well then Dallas has a decision to make. Do you punt? Do you try and go for it? You probably don’t just try and kick the field goal right here. So, it’s probably one of those two options. Maybe you kick the field goal. I don’t know. I mean, they certainly could with Aubrey, but ultimately, if you’re Dallas, you want to just convert here. If you convert, you win the game. And as you see, Prescott’s going to flip this one to Pickkins, who makes a great play on that one. He was uncoverable. He kind of took his helmet off at the end, but it was knocked loose. If it’s knocked, if the helmet’s already loose, you can then take it the rest of the way off. So, no penalty there. The Cowboys are able to kneel the clock. And the Cowboys improved to 56 and one, or excuse me, uh 65-1, which is a better record than the Chiefs sitting at 6 and six. And for the first time, it really feels like the Chiefs, I shouldn’t say the first time, but it’s definitely feeling like the Chiefs might miss the playoffs at this point. And it’s feeling like the Cowboys might make it. Who would have thought?

  1. When you dare on the field, as much as you are aware of the risks of what to do and what not to do, instincts do take over, which sometimes lead to decisions questioned by arm chair quarterbacks.

  2. The Chiefs have won three Superbowls in the last five years.Cowboys have not won a Superbowl in the last 29 years, some teams have not won a Superbowl in the last 60 years. The Cowboys are no longer America's team they are just another mediocre team.

  3. Only way to tell if it's truly over if they continue to play bad next season. Because chances are the Chiefs could just simply be having a slum yead and with the team having a "Super Bowl hangover" and all. Who knows, they could come back next season and start winning games again.

  4. The difference is, no more bs calls in their favor. Mahomo’s flopping and complaining is being ignored. He knows it. Travis will be retiring because of it. You can see it in their body language. The NFL has chosen a different team to promote to the top. It’s not the Cowboy’s.

  5. One of these days you idiots will realize that the game is about ALL players and not just the QB. Tired of hearing the bullS… statements like Mahomes beat the whoever's or Brady single handedly won this or that. IT TAKE ALL OF THE TEAM TO WIN OR LOSE. This hero worship is driving so many people away from the game. STOP!

  6. Patrick Mahomes left,it all out on the field as he always does, not his fault! If the Cowboys beat the Lions on Thursday I will believe they are for real, right now Dak is even with Matthew Stafford in the MVP race! Myles Garrett can’t win because of his shitty team!

  7. Anyone who losses to the chiefs doesn't deserve to be called a football team. They're a very bad team who wins because their opponents stop playing. 18 yards in 10 min by the Colts!!! Are you fucking kidding me!!!!!

  8. The Cowboys won this game. But, you always expect Prescott to do something that's not so smart. You just know it's going to happen and it wii end the Cowboy season.

  9. As a long time fan who is not drinking the kool aid I will say this.
We got the benefit of some breaks, AND calls last year.
I think a lot of people assumed they would flip the switch and come back hot this year.
    They didn’t.
It is obvious this team isn’t a playoff caliber team. And unless there are serious adjustments made, this will be what they are for the remainder of Mahomes career.
Both sides of the ball need to improve.
    Effort needs to improve.
They have seemingly done nothing to show up more prepared than the other team, starting from about mid season last year.

  10. You can't celebrate, every good play, like a last minute

Game winning field goal, touchdown, fumble return, in a super bowl.

    You celebrate,

    Team effort and a win!

    TEAM EFFORT, and a win!

    Show boaters, all of them.

Execution! Make the play work, protect the quarterback.

Who said it, " Put a skirt on. "

  11. Anymore people out there that still think this man is already the goat???😂 I don't ever want to hear that shit again unless he goes in to win 4 more super bowls

  12. It is amazing how many of you still think the refs are responsible for KC's success. Even in the games when they were penalized more than the opposition. Typical crying because your team lost, and you've gotta blame something. Might as well regurgitate the furver, it's rigged. All those tipped balls, interceptions, missed kicks, blown plays, bad reads, injuries, PENALTIES, fumbles, bad bounces, are those also part of the equation? Good grief couch commanders.

  13. The Chiefs have been really unlucky this year, but the number one problem is Andy Reid. He has a quarterback who is suddenly less motivated and that drags down the whole team. The whole NFL knows what play Reid will call next. He's terrible at adjustments during the game. He doesn't evolve. They've been winning for years because of Mahomes but something is wrong between Mahomes and Reid. And they need to figure it out. The Chiefs will end up 8-9 and miss the playoffs.

  14. The Chiefs dynasty ended after last year's Super Bowl blowout loss to Philadelphia,,,, oh and wait all the questionable
calls by the refs favoring them all year long.

  15. As a Saints fan, KC has been getting screwed, they have been getting targeted by the refs lol. The cowboys wrs were all over KCs dbs, pushing off, hands to the face etc etc, and the KC dbs couldn't do anything, no contested catches or even just put a hand on the hip of the WRs, the refs would throw a flag. Never been a fan of that crew either personally.
